Abstract

Multicultural education is an educational and learning process that aims to develop all student potential with a learning model of appreciating, appreciating the diversity of students' backgrounds and heterogeneity as a form of diversity in traditions, local culture, ethnicity, ethnic differences, and the many sects in religion, differences in students' potential , talent different interests. So it needs to be achieved through multicultural learning. Islamic Multicultural Education at pesantren Mambaul Falah Bawean Gresik is carried out referring to the religious traditions and local culture of the pesantren. The problem of this research is how is the implementation of Islamic multicultural education based on religious and cultural traditions at the Pesantren Mambaul Falah Tambilung Tambak Bawean Gresik? This problem was solved by using qualitative methods, descriptive analysis and methods of collecting data using observation, interviews and documentation. The implementation of Islamic multicultural education based on religious and cultural traditions at the Mambaul Falah Islamic Boarding School is carried out in six steps, namely (1) Strengthening Islamic Boarding School religious traditions, (2) the yellow book, (3) santri character, (4) santri culture, (5) local culture, (6) religious practice values.

Abstract

Indonesia dikenal sebagai negara multikultural karena terdiri dari banyak budaya. Adanya banyak budaya atau perbedaan di Indoensia dapat mengakibatkan persatuan atau perpecahan. Disinilah pentingnya pendidikan multikultural untuk menjelaskan perbedaan dan memancing kesadaran generasi muda bahwa Indoensia merupakan masyarakat majemuk. Untuk itu, penulis ingin menjabarkan tentang pentingnya pendidikan multikultural khususnya bagi siswa dan guru melalui pembelajaran sejarah. Pembelajaran sejarah yang dimaksud yaitu pembelajaran sejarah lokal yang berfokus pada keberagaman masyarakat Suku Tengger. Metode penelitian pada artikel ini yaitu kepustakaan (library research) yang mengkaji data dari artikel, jurnal maupun berita. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu toleransi merupakan salah satu nilai positif dari kajian sejarah lokal masyarakat Suku Tengger. Untuk itu peserta didik diharapkan dapat memaknai dan menanamkan pendidikan multikultural melalui pembelajaran sejarah lokal masyarakat Suku Tengger.Kata Kunci: Multikultural, sejarah lokal, toleransi

Abstract

Perbedaan kepentinggan antara berbagai organ dalam perusahaan seperti dewan direksi dan dewan komisaris. Perbedaan kepentingan antara pemilik perusahaan dengan pengelola perusahaan dimana secara umum merupakan masalah principal-agent. Semua bagian berperan dalam menentukan arah dan pengawasan perusahaan. RUPS, pemegang saham yang mewakili, mengambil keputusan yang mendasar, misalnya pembagian keuntungan. Dewan Komisaris secara umum bertanggung jawab terhadap  bimbingan dan pengawasan, menerima strategi perusahaan dan mengendalikan direksi. Direksi, akhirnya, menjalankan operasi sehari-hari, seperti pelaksanaan strategi, penyusunan rencana bisnis, mengelola sumber daya manusia, mengembangkan strategi pemasaran dan penjualan, dan mengelola aset. Kata Kunci: corporate, ajaran islam, korupsi Differences of interest between various organs in the company such as the board of directors and the board of commissioners. The difference in interests between the owner of the company and the manager of the company is generally a principal-agent problem. All parts play a role in determining the direction and supervision of the company. The GMS, representing shareholders, makes basic decisions, such as profit sharing. The Board of Commissioners is generally responsible for guidance and supervision, accepting corporate strategy and controlling the board of directors. The Board of Directors, ultimately, carries out day-to-day operations, such as strategy execution, business plan preparation, managing human resources, developing marketing and sales strategies, and managing assets. Abstract

Pendidikan, termasuk pendidikan multikultural merupakan instrumen penting yang dapat berpengaruh besar terhadap kehidupan manusia atau subyek didik. Proses penyelenggaraan pembelajarannya menjadi proses yang menentukan terbentuknya karakter bangsa. Konstruksi karakter bangsa akan bisa menjadi karakter yang kuat, terutama dalam memedulikan kepentingan masyarakat dan bangsa, bilamana para penyelenggarannya punya komitmen kuat dalam mewujudkannya. Subyek didik yang dibentuk dengan wawasan dan teladan sikap dan perilaku yang menghormati nilai-nilai multikultural, diidealitaskan mampu menjadi subyek didik yang berkarakter nasionalistik dan humanistik. Kata Kunci: pendidikan, pembelajaran, subyek didik, karakter bangsa   Education, including multicultural education is an important instrument that can have a major impact on the lives of humans or subjects. The process of organizing learning becomes the process that determines the formation of the nation's character. The construction of the nation's character will be a strong character, especially in caring for the interests of the people and the nation, when the organizers have a strong commitment to make it happen. Subjects of students who are formed with insights and examples of attitudes and behaviors that respect the values of multicultural, idealized can be a subject of nationalistic and humanistic characteristic. Abstract

This research is motivate by one fact that cannot be denied for Indonesia, namely a multicultural society. A multicultural society has the potential to become a capital for the nation’s progress, but it does not rule out the possibility that it will become a gap and an opportunity for turmoil to arise, such as social conflict, intolerance, and even division. Providing education in the form of instilling the value of multicultural education from an early age is a form of strategic alternative efforts to suppress and prevent destructive social conflicts. Multicultural education is an attempt to build a person’s mindset to appreaciate diversity within a framework of equality in order to develop social skills. One of the formal education that implements and internalizes multicultural education through special programs in order to realize student’s understanding of the urgency of multicultural education is Sekolah Sahabat Alam. Sekolah Sahabat Alam holds an arts and culture festival at the end of each semester. The cultural festival functions as a concept to provide understanding to students so that they live with mutual respect, appreciation, and tolerance. The problem formulation of this research is how to apply multicultural education in cultural festivals at Sekolah Sahabat Alam in Palangka Raya. This research method was used descriptive research intended to describe the context of multicultural education in the cultural arts festival at Sekolah Sahabat Alam in Palangka Raya. Multicultural education is used as a concrete first step planting good things, this planting can be seen from several activities implemented by Sekolah Sahabat Alam; 1) Cultural festivals as tool for cultural encounters and seeds for seeding multicultural awareness 2) Multicultural education in the creativity of cultural festivals. Abstract

Thesis writing is one compulsory subject which must be completed by students at State Polytechnic of Malang particularly in Accounting Department. Moreover, an abstract is an inseparable part of thesis which must be written by all students. The abstracts must be written both in Indonesian and English. Students have to translate their Indonesian abstract into English. From the preliminary study, it was found out that students have many difficulties in translating their thesis abstract from Indonesian into English. Hence, this research seeks to investigate what type of errors committed by the students during the process of English abstract writing. A descriptive qualitative design was used in this research. Documents in the form of 25 abstracts were used in the data analysis. The results showed that during the process of English abstract writing completion, students tend to have problems in abstract translation, grammar, vocabularies, sentence structures and writing mechanics. Detailed results were presented and discussed in the coming sections, followed by recommendations for further research. Keywords: abstract writing, translation, machine translation, Google Translate

Abstract

Corruption is a serious "disease" that befalls or tests the resilience of the Indonesian people. In any region and in institutional units related to state financial management, both from the central and regional levels, corruption almost always follows. As if where there is state money, that's where corruption appears. As a result of this condition, all subjects of the nation, especially those who feel they have a moral obligation to try to do prevention or prevention. Women are the subject of an educated nation who also have such an obligation, so it is logical that there is strengthening of Islamic ethical education on anti-corruption.

Abstract

The current era is multicultural education, and more specifically Islamic multicultural education. Complexity, rapid social change, the era of information technology in the midst of plurality and multiculturality of Indonesian society, so multicultural education becomes very important and relevant. Therefore, prioritizing education in this style becomes an obligation for the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Religion and higher education institutions in Indonesia. In the framework of enriching studies and also implementing multicultural education, paradigmatic thinking is needed. From a sociological perspective, there are several paradigms, such as the social fact paradigm of multicultural education, the social definition paradigm of multicultural education and the social behavior paradigm of multicultural education. From this paradigm, research and studies can certainly be carried out to develop theories and praxis of multicultural Islamic education.

Abstract

There is a paradoxical condition which afflicts higher education institution. On the one hand, higher education institution has proven itself as an educational institution which generates several knowledgeable and great people for the interest of Indonesian society and global community. However, another side of university is considered being affected by serious problems in relation with corruption in the state. Lots of notorious corruptors have already corrupted trillions of rupiahs from the state’s assets whereas these corruptors are higher education institution graduates. Moreover, there are many higher education institution elites who deal with law enforcement officials because they are alleged of doing corruption. A number of educational subjects in higher education institution were arrested by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) because of their findings which indicate the misuse of government funds. Not only has it been regarded to physical construction of the higher education institution, but also the procurement of goods and services. Due to this condition, time has come for universities to promote educational jihad for the sake of corruption eradication in higher education institution.

Abstract

This article examines the importance of the concept of tasamuh culture in a multicultural society, this research has succeeded in writing the criteria for tasamuh behavior in pluralism. as a guideline for Muslims in behaving in tasamuh in the midst of a multicultural society. Also as a basis for Jember LPAI residents in carrying out good and forbidding evil in society and government. This article uses descriptive qualitative, active participant observation in Jember LPAI activities once a month every Legi Friday, Tasamuh culture in a multicultural society is orented by the exemplary behavior of the Prophet in the midst of a pluralistic community. He gave an example of a pattern of living together in the midst of theological diversity, culture, racism, language built on the basis of the phrase monotheism (la ilaha illa Allah) in Mecca for 13 years, then he moved to Yathrib (now Medina). Living with a society that does not only consist of one ethnicity, tribe, nation, or religion, but is very diverse. So as to be able to build togetherness in a multicultural society
