Abstract

Background: Medicinal plants are medicinal plants that can relieve pain, increase endurance and treat various diseases. The Oirata tribe is an indigenous tribe of Kisar Island. The community traditionally uses various types of plants as alternative treatments to cure diseases because they are easier to obtain and there are no side effects. Methods: This study uses descriptive methods. Data collection techniques by conducting interviews, observation, questionnaires, and collecting and documenting medicinal plants. Results: Medicinal plants found in the Oirata Tribe of Kisar Island, the Sub district Islands, Southwest Maluku Regency are 31 types of medicinal plants. Plant parts used are roots, bark, leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds. How to process traditional medicinal plants is done by boiling, pounding, chopping, squeezing, pasting, wrapping, heating, and some even eaten directly to swallow the water. Conclusion: The way to use it for the people of the Oirata tribe is that it is single because they do not use plants mixed with plants or other raw materials only mixed with water.

Abstract

Background: Medicinal plants have many benefits that make it a traditional medicine for society. One of the medicinal plants used by the community, especially the Wanath Hamlet community, is the angsana gum (Pterocarpus indicus Willd.) In treating diseases. Method: This study aims to identify and analyze flavonoid levels in angsana sap (Pterocarpus indicus Willd.) In Wanath Hamlet qualitatively (flavonoid color test) and quantitative (flavonoid content analysis). Results: The results show a change in color to yellow which indicates that the sap is positive for flavonoids, while in aquades it shows clear color changes which indicate negative. Conclusion: Qualitative test (color test) of angsana gum extract positively contains flavonoids when identified with several flavonoid reagents which produce yellow

Abstract

Background: Snail (Achantina fulica) is one of the animals from the gastropod class. Snails are often consumed by the Lesluru people as an alternative source of protein for fish substitutes. This study aims to determine the levels of snail meat protein which is processed by boiling, fumigation and frying, as well as providing information on the nutritional content of snails for the community in general. Method: The type of research used is experimental research and to test the protein content using the kjeldhal method. This research was conducted from November 4 to November 12, 2018. Results: This study was analyzed using the normality test, homogeneity test and followed by ANOVA test. In analyzing the data used the SPSS Windows version 16.0 program help. The results of the analysis of protein content of snail meat, known, the highest levels found in the treatment by fumigation with an average protein content of 40.4% while the lowest protein content found in boiling processing with an average protein content of 27.0%. Conclusion: treatment by fumigation while the lowest protein content is found in the treatment by boiling.

Abstract

Background: Education is a business that is intentionally designed to achieve predetermined goals and provide certain knowledge, insights, skills and expertise to individuals to explore and develop talents and personalities. Method: This study is a descriptive study that describes mastery learning using the Time Token learning model. The sample in this study was class VII2 students consisting of 34 students. Results: This study shows that there is a significant influence by using the time token learning model towards improving student learning outcomes. At the time of the application of the time token learning model, it was seen that student learning outcomes were improved. Data obtained from the research results obtained with an average score reaching 54.70 and being in a failed qualification, while the final test 91.47 is in complete qualification. Conclusion: The application of the time token learning model can improve the learning outcomes of the concept of living things in class VII2 YPKPM Christian Middle School Ambon by showing a significant success rate for students.

Abstract

Background: Education that is used as a forum to develop human potential requires a clear and mature set of systems to be able to deliver people to their potential development. For this reason, development in the education sector must continue to be developed in the direction of improving the quality of education. Method: This study was conducted at SMP Negeri 15 Ambon with a total of 25 students in class VII8. The KKM of SMP 15 Ambon biology subjects is 70. This study uses descriptive analysis to determine the learning outcomes of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor students. Results: Research shows that mastery of biological concepts before the application of the learning cycle model is classified as very low. This can be seen from the average score of achievement in the initial test, which is 40 from KKM. After the application of the learning cycle learning method, the formative test results obtained by students became better with the average percentage of achievement in the formative test increasing by 89. Conclusion: Learning cycle learning method is able to improve student learning outcomes on the concept of environmental pollution

Abstract

Background: To achieve learning objectives, teachers are required to be able to choose and integrate learning models and learning media that are suitable for application in a particular concept. Although the development of the learning model has undergone a change, in reality teachers still have difficulty in determining the learning model that is suitable to be applied at an educational level. Method: The study was conducted on 18 September - 18 October 2018 using descriptive methods, student learning outcomes were seen through the final grades assessed based on cognitive (LKS), affective and psychomotor aspects and pre-post test scores. Measurement data were analyzed using t test formula. Results: Based on the t test, the results of tcount 14.066 and ttable 1.658, tcount> ttable, then the null hypothesis (HO) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This shows that there are differences in learning outcomes of class VII students of SMP Negeri 9 Ambon using Laps-Heuristic learning models and Meands-Ends Analysis combined with Movie media. Conclusion: There are differences in student learning outcomes by using Laps-Heuristic and Meands-Ends Analysis learning models for the ecosystem concept in class VII Ambon 9 State Junior High School. Meands-Ends Analysis learning is more effective for improving student learning outcomes than Laps-Heuristic learning models.

Abstract

Background: Education is one of the important factors in efforts to improve human resources in Indonesia. The latest methods and methods of learning are used to streamline the conventional learning process. Cooperative learning model with TAPPS (Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving) method in improving problem solving skills and student learning outcomes in the concept of class VIII excretion system at SMPN 1 Ambon. Method: This study is a descriptive study that is by giving treatment in the form of learning by using cooperative learning models with the TAPPS method for class VIII students of SMP 1 Ambon, amounting to 21 people. Results: In the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects all students are said to be complete, with an average value of each aspect namely for cognitive 86.1 for affective 84.43 and psychomotor 83.1. While for problem solving skills obtained an average of 86.1. From the average value obtained by students, cooperative learning models with the TAPPS (Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving) method can improve problem solving skills and student learning outcomes. Conclusion: The application of the cooperative learning model with the TAPPS (thinking aloud pair problem solving) method to increasing the results of learning excretion system concepts in class VIII2 of SMPN 1 Ambon showed a significant success rate

Abstract

Background: The use of the right learning model is an alternative to overcome the problem of students' low absorption of lessons, in order to improve the quality of teaching. In its implementation, an appropriate learning model is needed that is able to arouse students' motivation to learn. The use of the right learning model is to use Discovery Learning models and Problem Posing learning models. Method: This study aims to determine the differences in student learning outcomes taught using Discovery Learning models and Problem Posing learning models on the concept of the digestive system in the food of class VIII students of YPKPM Christian Middle School Ambon. Results: Based on the results of the study the use of the Discovery learning model the average value of cognitive aspects = 87.82, the affective aspect = 80.88, the psychomotor aspects = 90.4, the final value = 94.64, the final test value = 94. While the model Problem Posing learning the average value on cognitive aspects = 95.49, affective aspects = 93.76, psychomotor aspects = 93.32, final value = 93.90 and final test value = 96.17. With t count 2.04 and t table 2.01. Conclusion: Student learning outcomes in the problem posing learning model class are higher than students in the class of discovery learning models.

Abstract

Background: Seagrass is a group of closed seed plants (Angiosperms) and single-sided (monocotyledonous) plants which are able to live permanently below sea level. One of the most abundant types of seagrass in Indonesian waters is seagrass Enhalus acroides. The specialty of seagrasses Enhalus acoroides is that the seeds can be used as food ingredients in several regions. Some people in Maluku process seagrass seeds into vegetables for daily use. In addition, seagrass seeds Enhalus acoroides which have good nutrition can be processed into milk products that can be an alternative to animal milk. Methods: The viscosity test for seagrass seed milk using the Ostwald method and microbiological analysis through the plate count total test using the SNI 2008 guidelines. This research was located in the Basic Biology Laboratory, Faculty Teacher Training and Education, Pattimura University and the Industrial Research and Standardization Center Laboratory in Ambon. Results: Viscosity values ​​in seagrass seed milk in the treatment group S0 (without sugar) 121.69 cP, treatment S1 (100 grams of sugar) 160.76 cP and treatment of S2 (200 grams of sugar) 156.38 cP while the results of the Total Plate Count test in seagrass seed milk with treatment S0 (no sugar) 7.1x101, treatment S1 (100 grams of sugar) 6.0x101 and treatment S2 (200 grams of sugar) 7.0x101. Conclusion: The highest viscosity value is in the treatment of S1 (100 grams of sugar) 160.76 cP and the lowest viscosity value is in the treatment of S0 (without sugar) 121.69 cP while the highest microbial colonies are in treatment S0 (without sugar) 7,1x101 and the lowest microbial colonies were in treatment S1 (100 grams of sugar) 6.0x101.

Abstract

Background: Pakcoy (Brassica chinensis L.) is a vegetable plant originating from China that has leaf stalks that are wider and larger than green mustard greens. Pakcoy has nutritional value such as vitamin C, vitamin A, carbohydrates, fiber, protein, calcium, magnesium. Chlorophyll is a green leaf substance found in green parts of plants, especially on leaves. One of the factors that influence the chlorophyll content in pakcoy mustard leaves is the soil condition in this case the nutrient content and nutrients in the soil. One way to meet nutrient and nutrient content in the soil is by using organic fertilizers such as manure and tofu. Method: This study aims to determine the chlorophyll content of pakcoy leaves (Brassica chinensis L.) after giving manure and tofu dregs. Based on the analysis of chlorophyll content using the UV-VIS spectrophotometer method at wavelengths of 644 nm and 663 nm. Results: The highest levels of chlorophyll A in pakcoy (Brassica chinensis L.) leaves with PK3AT1 treatment (7 kg manure and 7 kg tofu dregs) of 2.007 mg / L, highest chlorophyll B levels in pakcoy (Brassica chinensis L.) leaves with treatment PK3AT3 (7 kg manure and tofu dregs 3 kg) at 2.674 mg / L, and the highest total chlorophyll content in pakcoy (Brassica chinensis L.) leaves with PK3AT1 treatment (7 kg manure and 7 kg tofu dregs) at 4,558 mg / L. Conclusion: Chlorophyll A, B and total levels in pakchoy (Brassica chinensis L.) leaves after a combination of manure and tofu dregs have high levels of different corophils.
