Abstract

Background: Yogurt has a higher nutritional value than fresh milk because of the increase in total solids, so that the content of other nutrients also increases. In addition, yogurt is suitable for people with lactose intolerance or who are intolerant of lactose. One part of the soursop plant that can be used as medicine is fruit. Soursop fruit contains vitamins, dietary fiber, and antioxidant compounds that can function as compounds that can delay, slow down and prevent lipid oxidation. Method: This study was conducted at the Basic Biology and Basic Chemistry Education Laboratory of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Pattimura University. In this study the number of treatments was 4 with different concentrations, the control group, the addition of soursop juice 30 ml, 60 ml and 100 ml. Results: Research shows that the more the concentration of soursop juice is added, the higher the content of vitamin C produced in the cow's milk yogurt. Conclusion: Different amounts of yoghurt with the addition of soursop juice have different levels of vitamin C. The highest average vitamin C is found in yogurt with the addition of 100 ml of soursop juice.

Abstract

Background: The TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) model is individual assistance in the characteristic group that the responsibility is for students. Therefore students must build knowledge without accepting the finished form of the teacher. While the STAD Model (Student Team Achievement Division) is to motivate students to be able to support and help one another in mastering the abilities taught by the teacher. Method: This research was conducted on April 10, 2017 - May 10, 2017 with the research location on Junior High School 3 Namrole. To find out the difference in learning outcomes, it was analyzed using T-test analysis. Results: Through the design of quasi-experimental research shows that there are no differences in student learning outcomes taught using the TAI and STAD models, but in the TAI and STAD classes almost all students reach KKM 68. However, based on the calculation of the average (mean) and standard deviation for the class TAI 76.68 and class 75.31 so that it can be said that the TAI model is more effective than STAD. Conclusion: There is an increase in student learning outcomes after conducting the teaching and learning process by using the Team Assisted Individualization and Student Team Achievemint Devision models so that the t-test results show that thit <ttab with thit 1.023 and ttab 2.0105.

Abstract

Background: Education and teaching focusing on the interaction between educators with educated or teachers with students. The interaction of teachers and teaching in improving student learning outcomes especially on biological materials, desperately needs attention, motivation, and interest. It almost entirely uses a good teaching style. Methods: This study was conducted for 1 month starting from 05th of November until 05th of December 2016. The purpose of this study is to influence of teacher’s teaching style (Variable X) and motivation of student learning outcomes in Biology at SMP Hang Tuah Lantamal IX Ambon by taking sample of 35 respondents, are the students of class VIII. Results: The results showed that there is a significant influence or perfect correlation between teacher teaching styles on the motivation of learning results of human’s blood circulation system in grade VIII of SMP Hang Tuah Lantamal IX Ambon. It is proven by the product moment correlation value of pearson rarithematic = 1.00 when compared with rtable = 0.334 and according to table interpretation of Pearson correlation coefficient. Conclusion: Thus the hypothesis H1 which states there is a significant influence between teacher teaching styles on student learning outcomes motivation.

Abstract

Background: The nails are plants that are often consumed by the community because they are effective in curing various diseases such as cough, asthma, fever, headache, diarrhea, and dysentery. Different cooking processes can affect the nutritional content of a food ingredient, one of which is vitamin A. Method: This type of research is comparative, namely to compare the content of vitamin A found in ferns (Diplazium esculentum (Retz) Sw.) Based on the cooking process, namely boiling, steaming and stirring. Location of analysis of vitamin A content in the Basic Chemistry laboratory of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Pattimura University. The subjects of the study were 4 g of ferns extract, each of which was carried out based on the cooking process, namely stir-fry, boiled and steamed. Results: There is an effect of the cooking process on the content of vitamin A on ferns. The highest vitamin A content is found in the type of stir-fry cooking which is as much as 0,0594%, the type of steamed cooking is 0,0442% and the type of boiled cooking is 0,0243%. Sauteed vegetables have relatively low water content than those boiled or steamed. Conclusion: The highest content of vitamin A in vegetable ferns (Diplazium escelentum (Retz.) Sw.) Was found in the cooking process of the type of stirring with a vitamin A content of 0.0594 with a duration of 10 minutes

Abstract

Background: The STAD model is to motivate students to support each other and help one another in mastering the abilities taught by the teacher. Crosswords are a game of sharpening the brain where we have to fill in the blank spaces (in the form of white boxes) with the letters that form a word based on the instructions given. Method: Design of experimental research with the type of research used is descriptive comparative. The research subjects were the eighth grade students of Ambon 1 Junior High School, totaling 26 students. The instruments used were initial test and final test questions, observation sheets, student worksheets and group worksheets. Results: Research shows that the application of the STAD Cooperative type learning model with Cross Puzzle media can improve student learning outcomes. On average all aspects of value have increased. Can be seen in the achievement of the estimated student score of 83.46%. Continued hypothesis testing using the t-test with the value of thit> ttab (2.27> 2.01) thus there are differences in the improvement of student learning outcomes using the STAD type cooperative learning model with a crossword puzzle media. Conclusion: There are differences in the application of the STAD learning model with crossword media and discovery learning learning models of motion systems concepts in humans to improve learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMPN 1 Ambon, it is evident that the results of t-test analysis where t count> t table that the STAD model with media crossword puzzles is more effective for improving student learning outcomes than the Discovery Learning model

Abstract

Background: This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the learning model of the horay course review to improve student learning outcomes of teaching material on the classification system of living things in class X of SMA Negeri 14 Ambon. Method: Samples from this study were students of class X1 with 23 students. This type of research is descriptive research to see student learning outcomes which consists of 3 factors, namely physical, cognitive and psychomotor. The instruments used in this study were test instruments in the form of initial tests and final tests. Results: The results of this study show that there is a significant effect by using the learning review horay learning model on improving student learning outcomes during the implementation of the learning model of the course review horay. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the use of the Course Review Horay learning model can improve the learning outcomes of class X1 students at SMA Negeri 14 Ambon. This can be seen from the results of the final test which is very satisfying from the results of the initial test. Presentation of student grades during the initial test is 13% and the final test score reaches 100%.

Abstract

Background: Mangrove forests are one of the unique natural ecosystems with high ecological value. Mangrove ecosystems are one of the areas with high productivity because there are litter and decomposition of litter and detritus occurs. This study was conducted to determine the association between gastropods and mangrove plants. Method: Research on gastropod association with mangrove plants in the coastal waters of Tiouw Village and Haria Village was conducted in January 2018. Results: This study found from gastropods 6 species namely variabilis strombus, microurceus strombus, Nassarius luridus, Strombus urceus, Cypraea annulus, Strombus, Strombus, Nerita squamulata. From the mangrove plants, 10 species were found: Avicennia eucalyptifolia, Avicennia lanata, Bruguiera sexangula, Rhizophora apiculata, Bruguiera hainessi, Aegiceras floridum R, Aegiceras curniculatum L, Bruguiera palviflora, Bruguiera exaristafa, Ceriops tagal. Conclusion: Association values ​​ranged from 0.741-0.9773 with positive and negative types. This means that both types of seagrass are often found together or not found together in the observation location

Abstract

Background: Snack food is part of food that is inseparable from the community. Snack food consists of various types, one of which is skewer meatballs. Skewers are a type of snack food made from flour and meat that is round and then boiled until cooked, has a savory and chewy taste. One of the bacteria that often contaminates snacks is coliform bacteria. Coliform bacteria is a group of rod-shaped gram negative bacteria. Method: The sample used in the study was skewered meatball samples taken at the location of SDN 82 Kudamati and SDN 2 Tanah Tinggi Ambon. Testing for the presence of coliform bacteria was carried out at the Indonesian Institute of Research and Standardization Laboratory in Ambon. The type of research used is descriptive. Calculation of the number of bacterial colonies using the standard Total Plate Count (TPC). Results: The study showed that the two positive samples contained coliform bacteria with the highest number of coliform bacteria colonies in code A1 1.55 x 105 at location A SDN 82 Kudamati and the lowest at code B1 1.49 x 103 at location B SDN 2 Tanah Tinggi. If compared with SNI for processed meat and chicken products is 1 x 105 colonies / gram, which means the highest number of colonies cannot be consumed. Conclusion: Skewers meatball snacks sold in SDN 82 Kudamati and Ambon Tanah 2 Elementary School 2, positive for coliform bacteria

Abstract

Background: Education is defined as a process using certain models so that one can obtain knowledge, understanding, and ways of behaving according to needs. In this study aims to determine the effect of applying the snowball throwing learning model in improving learning outcomes on the concept of the human respiratory system in class XI SMA PGRI 1 Ambon Method: This study was conducted from February 14 to March 14, 2018 in class XI SMA PGRI 1 Ambon. Results: Through cooperative design shows that there is an increase in learning outcomes after using the snowball throwing model. Conclusion: The application of the Snowball Throwing type cooperative learning model can improve the learning outcomes of the concept of human respiratory system in class XI IPA2 students of SMA PGRI 1 Ambon showing the level of success of students seen from cognitive, affective, psychomotor and final grades.

Abstract

Background: Seagrasses are flowering plants (Angiosperms) that are able to adapt fully in waters with high salinity or live immersed in water. Seagrass has true rhizomes, leaves and roots like plants on land. Seagrasses usually form fields called seagrass beds, especially in tropical and sub-tropical regions. The existence of seagrasses is known to support fishing activities, shellfish communities and other invertebrate biota. Method: This study is a descriptive study to reveal information about environmental characteristics, and associations of seagrasses with gastropods. Results: The study found a class of gastropods, 10 species namely Strombus variabilis, Strombus microurceus, Nassariusl uridus, Nassarius dorsatus, Strombus urceus, Cypraea annulus, Strombus labiatus, Strombus marginatus, Neritas quamulata, Cypraeratigris. Of the seagrass plants found 4 species, namely Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Halophila ovalis, Cymodocea rotundata. Association values ​​ranged from 4.159-8.85 with positive and negative types. This means that both types of seagrass are often found together or not found together in each observation box. Conclusion: There is a weak association between seagrass and gastropods in the coastal waters of Tiouw State. The association of gastropod types with seagrass species is found in 10 types of gastropods and 4 types of seagrasses in the waters of the Tiouw State coast
