Abstract

ABSTRACT Tuberculosis is still a major problem in the health sector, including side effects from treatment Side effects from tuberculosis treatment that are often experienced include indigestion, nausea, joint pain, dizziness, redness, itching, redness of the skin, liver disorders, joint pain and paresthesia or tingling. Tingling caused by blood circulation is not smooth. Light massage is a massage therapy in the form of gentle movements on the soft tissues of the body including wiping and rubbing movements, this skin stimulus will provide a sense of comfort, relaxes tension in the muscles and increases blood circulation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Light Massage therapy on peripheral blood circulation in tuberculosis patients. This study uses a true experiment pre and post control group design. The number of samples of this study were 30 respondents in the intervention group and 30 respondents in the control group. The study was conducted in the working area of ​​the Sokaraja Community Health Center. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The mean respondent was female (56.7%), with an intensive treatment phase (76.7%), mean Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) score in the intervention group 1.03 and the control group 1.06. There were no differences in ABI scores between the intervention and control groups. Administration of light massages interventions for 3 times has not been able to reduce the ankle brachial index score in tuberculosis patients. Further research needs to be done on ABI scores in patients with advanced treatment phases.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Hearing loss is one of the side effects of using kanamycin. Hearing loss will reduce the ability to receive information and verbal communication which will interfere with daily activities. This study aims to determine the relationship between age, sex on hearing loss and hearing loss in patients with drug-resistant TB during kanamycin treatment. The design of this study was cross sectional using purposive sampling. The number of samples that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria was 12 patients. The results show that hearing loss is not related to age (p = 0.293), sex (p = 1,000), and hearing loss (p = 0.182). Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that there is no relationship between age, sex on hearing loss and hearing loss during kanamycin administration. Abstract

Penyakit kusta adalah penyakit kronik yang disebabkan oleh kuman Mycobacterium leprae (M. leprae) yang pertama kali menyerang susunan saraf tepi, selanjutnya dapat menyerang kulit, mukosa traktus respiratorius bagian atas, kemudian dapat ke organ lain kecuali susunan saraf pusat. Stigma pada penyakit kusta merupakan hambatan untuk penemuan kasus dan efektivitas pengobatan penyakit kusta. Stigma bersifat sosial dan dapat menyebabkan penderita kusta dikucilkan dari aktivitas sosialnya. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang berperan dalam terjadinya stigma terhadap penyakit kusta, salah satunya adalah pengetahuan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan masyarakat dengan stigma terhadap penyakit kusta di Kota Samarinda. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan mengunjungi 4 Puskesmas yang ada di Kota Samarinda dan menyebar kuesioner ke masyarakat dengan menggunakan Teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian didapatkan sebanyak 100 responden yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi dengan rincian; pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 22 responden, pengetahuan cukup sebanyak 49 responden, dan pengetahuan baik sebanyak 29 responden; dan stigma baik sebanyak 24 responden, stigma sedang sebanyak 62 responden, dan stigma buruk sebanyak 14 responden. Analisis data menggunakan uji Somer’s d diperoleh nilai p = 0,456; sehingga dapat disimpulkan tidak terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan masyarakat dengan stigma terhadap penyakit Kusta di Kota Samarinda.

Abstract

Significant condition occurred in increased rate of breast cancer, based on global statistical data. Awareness of breast cancer prevention methods is very important in reducing morbidity and mortality caused by breast cancer. One of them with breast self-examination (BSE) because it is easy, cheap, privacy, safe and does not require special equipment, but this method is not yet widely applied by most women. The purpose of this study was to determine the determinants of regular breast self-examination once a month by women of childbearing age in the Kubutambahanan Village. The method of research was observational with cross sectional approach. Samples were taken purposively with a large number of samples determined as many as 154 respondents. The independent variables in this study were age, level of education, occupation, family history of breast cancer, distance of health facility coverage, mass media exposure, partner / family support, peer group support, dependent variable in this study was breast self-examination behavior. Data collection using questionnaires with structured interview techniques. The study began in June until September 2019. After the data were collected, univariate, bivariate and multivariate analyzes with logistic regression were performed using software. The results of this study found that the determinant variable of monthly breast self-examination was education level (OR = 5,321.95% CI: -0.324--0.213), mass media access (OR = 3,543.95% CI: -0.213 - 0.124), partner or family support (OR = 7,002.95% CI: -1.342--0.543) and peer age group support (OR = 5,326.95% CI: -3.234--1.342) remain jointly influential for regular monthly breast self examination. Breast self-examination every month is regularly related to factors of education level, mass media access, partner or family support and peer support.

Abstract

The provision of breast milk is very important for infants and toddlers during the first 6 months of life. Several factors can affect exclusive breastfeeding, one of which is socioeconomic status. This research was conducted to see the relationship between the status of socio-economic and successful exclusive ASI in the Village District of Loa Kulu. The method of this research is Descriptive correlative quantitative research with a Crossectional method and using Total Sampling Design. The population of this study was 93 respondents and the sample taken was 59 respondents Data analysis using the Chi-square test. The results of the analysis at the significance level of 0.05, which obtained a p-value of 1,692> 0.05. This means that there is no significant relationship between socioeconomic status and the success of exclusive Asi. It can be concluded from this study that there is no relationship between socioeconomic status with the success of exclusive breastfeeding because the success of exclusive breastfeeding cannot be seen just from one factor the especially Socio-Economic Status in Rempanga Village.

Abstract

Mobile Legend is a game program that is connected through a network and can be played at anytime and anywhere. It is also can be played in groups around the world. Mobile Legend Game itself has one of the deviations committed by teenagers due to addiction to online games, among others was to say something dirty, being rude, and lazy behavior. From this game, there are several figures (YouTuber) who play this game with open clothes that are sexually tricky. Because of the frequency of watching content like this, teenagers have been unconsciously exposed to pornography which if they already addicted to pornography, can trigger their behavior leading to free sex. The purpose of this study was to determine the connection between playing the mobile legends game to free sex behavior in the teenager. This research was conducted using quantitative methods with a cross-sectional research design. The population of the study was 207 respondents and the sample size taken was 133 people. The sampling technique is a total sampling. From the test, the researchers found that the connection between online games with free sex behavior based on the results of the Chi-Square Test shows a p-value of 0.001 (p <value = 0.05) which means there is a specific connection between playing online game with their free sex behavior in teenager at 10 Middle School on Rempanga village.

Abstract

Abstract:Background. Based on the results of the Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) in 2013, the prevalence of hypertension is still high at 25.8%, so hypertension is still one of the public health problems in Indonesia. Objectives. This study aims to determine the relationship of characteristics (age, gender, and level of education) with hypertension in participants of the Training of Healthy Family Trainers. Methods. This type of research is cross-sectional with a sample of 30 people. Data collection by interview and blood pressure examination. Interviews were conducted to find out data about respondents' characteristics which included age, gender and level of education. Whereas for blood pressure measurements are carried out with sphygmomanometer. Data analysis using statistical test Spearman Rank Correlation Test. Results. Based on the results of blood pressure measurements obtained the following results, blood pressure in the normal category = 23.30%, prehypertension = 53.3%, hypertension first degree = 16.7%, second degree hypertension = 3.3% and severe hypertension = 6.7%. From the statistical test, the results of p=age = 0.961 p sex = 0.172 p = education level = 0.679 (p> 0.05). Discussion. Age, gender and education are not the sole factors causing hypertension. Therefore, to reduce hypertension, it is necessary to apply clean and healthy living behaviours Conclusion. There is no relationship between age, sex and level of education with hypertension. Recommendation. Abstract

Cerebro Vascular Accident (CVA) is one of the major causes of morbidity and mortality in the worldwide. Globally in 2013, stroke was the highest cause of death after heart disease and was the number three cause of long-term disability. Indonesia ranks fourth in the world after India, China and the United States and has the highest proportion of stroke sufferers in Asia.This study aims to determine the relationship of dyslipidemia and cerebro vascular accident in the Panti Nirmala Hospital. Research design is case controll study. The sample amounted to 84 respondents, consisting of 42 case groups and 42 control groups. Data analysis using logistic regression analysis. The finding shows, in patients with CVA, the percentage of respondents with dyslipidemia is 59,5%, while non-CHD is 21,4%. After controlled by a family history of CVA, Smokers, Hypertension or a history of Hypertension, and Hyperirucemia, respondents with dyslipidemia were 5.9 times more likely to have CVA than non-dyslipidemic respondents.It is recommended to the public to carry out regular medical checkup, and changing lifestyles by consuming healthy foods to control lipid profiles.

Abstract

Thesis is a scientific work to get a degree. Problems or difficulties in preparing thesis can cause anxiety to students. Excessive anxiety will have an impact on increasing tension and difficulty in starting sleep. This difficulty will interfere with students getting good sleep quality. This study aims to determine the relationship of anxiety levels with sleep quality in medical students who are working on thesis at Mulawarman University. This study was an observational analytic study with cross-sectional design. The research sample was 62 samples. Samples were selected by purposive sampling. Data collection uses the Zung Self-rating Anxiety Scale to assess anxiety levels and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index to assess sleep quality. The results of this study show that most students have mild anxiety level of 31 students (50%) and poor sleep quality of 43 students (69.4%). The analysis test using Spearman showed that anxiety levels was related with sleep quality (p = 0,000), the value of the level of closeness was very strong (r = 0.898). Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the level of anxiety with sleep quality in medical students who are working on thesis at Mulawarman University. Abstract

ABSTRACTDiabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that most often causes death. Patients with diabetes mellitus who are referred to hospitals have already experienced both macrovascular and microvascular complications. This study aims to determine the risk factors and types of complications that occur in patients with Diabetes Mellitus. This research uses descriptive observational design, with purposive sampling technique. The sample of this study was Diabetes Mellitus patients with complications in Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Hospital Samarinda. There are 52 respondent who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Overall data on the characteristics of patients based on age with the most complications are patients aged <60 years. As many as 37 people (71.2%) and the characteristics of patients based on sex most experienced complications were female sex patients, as many as 36 people (69.2%). There is a relationship between student perceptions of the learning environment on campus with an achievement index.
