Background: Pain is one of the main problems in patients with ICU. Inadequate handling can cause adverse effects such as unstable hemodynamics, trigger stress, and thus hinder the healing process. Non-pharmacological intervention is needed to help manage pain in patients with ICU. Purpose: This study aims to identify the effect of murottal listening to pain in ICU patients. Methods: This is a quasi-experiment with pre-test and post-test with control group design. The sampling technique was simple random sampling, consisting of 40 respondents divided into two groups. The Critical Pain Observation Tool (CPOT) is used to measure pain. Statistics using a paired t-test, Wilcoxon-test, and Mann Whitney. Results: Significant decreases in pain scores were observed in treatment groups of 4, 5 to 4,0; p = 0,013. In the control group, there was a significant decrease in pain scores from 4,8 to 4,3; p = 0,001. There was no significant difference between the median decrease in pain in the intervention group (0.001 (-1-2.0) and the control group (0.001 (0.001-1.0)) with p = 0.242. Conclusion: Murottal listening does not have a significant effect on pain in patients of ICU.

ABSTRACT Tuberculosis is still a major problem in the health sector, including side effects from treatment Side effects from tuberculosis treatment that are often experienced include indigestion, nausea, joint pain, dizziness, redness, itching, redness of the skin, liver disorders, joint pain and paresthesia or tingling. Tingling caused by blood circulation is not smooth. Light massage is a massage therapy in the form of gentle movements on the soft tissues of the body including wiping and rubbing movements, this skin stimulus will provide a sense of comfort, relaxes tension in the muscles and increases blood circulation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Light Massage therapy on peripheral blood circulation in tuberculosis patients. This study uses a true experiment pre and post control group design. The number of samples of this study were 30 respondents in the intervention group and 30 respondents in the control group. The study was conducted in the working area of the Sokaraja Community Health Center. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The mean respondent was female (56.7%), with an intensive treatment phase (76.7%), mean Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) score in the intervention group 1.03 and the control group 1.06. There were no differences in ABI scores between the intervention and control groups. Administration of light massages interventions for 3 times has not been able to reduce the ankle brachial index score in tuberculosis patients. Further research needs to be done on ABI scores in patients with advanced treatment phases.

Aging is a natural process characterised by predictable physical and behavioral alterations that all people experience as they progress through their lives. Anxiety and sleep disorders are two issues that plague the elderly. The elderly typically complain about sleeping issues as a result of various chronic diseases. Frequent night awakenings might lead to an increase in the amount of time spent sleeping during the day. The aim of this study was to see how efficient murottal and prayer are at reducing anxiety and sleep problems in the elderly. This study employs an experimental design with a before and post approach, as well as a control group. This study collect 60 samples from elderly people in Pamijen Village. They were split into two groups: 30 elderly in the murottal group and 30 elderly in the prayer group. A questionnaire was used to assess anxiety and sleep pattern disturbances before and after treatment. Simple random sampling was used as the sampling technique. The paired t-test was used to analyse the dataStatistical tests of differences in sleep patterns before and after treatment in the murottal and pray groups were p = 0.00, statistical tests of anxiety scores before and after listening to prayer were p = 0.869, and statistical tests of differences in sleep patterns before and after treatment in the murottal and pray groups were p = 0.00. Murottal therapy has been shown to be effective in reducing anxiety and sleep disturbances

Background: One of the reasons a patient is treated in the Intensive Care Unit is respiratory failure. Mechanical ventilator is the last method if other breath assistance models are no longer able to overcome the patient's breathing problems. The installation of a ventilator is one of the stressors of either pain or the process of adaptation of the presence of foreign bodies in the path of his breath. The purpose of this study was to look at the clinical response of patients with mechanical ventilators. Method: This research is a type of quantitative research with a descriptive analytic approach. Respondents involved in this study were 76 patients. The statistical test used is the frequency distribution to see a picture of the patient's response to the installation of a mechanical ventilator. These responses include the ability to adapt to mechanical ventilators and muscle tension. Results: Patient demographic data showed that the average age of patients was 40.7 and the sex was almost the same, 44.7% (male) and 45.3% (female). Almost all respondents showed discomfort response. Only 6.6% (n = 76) showed an adaptation response when viewed from the sound of a mechanical ventilator alarm. Meanwhile, when viewed from muscle tension, all patients who are fitted with a mechanical ventilator show that the muscles are tense and stiff. Conclusion: The installation of a mechanical ventilator has unpleasant effects on the patient.
