Teaching of Arabic had really spread in Indonesia this lately, both in formal and informal institutions, either at the school, boarding school or university level. But unfortunately the teaching of Arabic from the past until now still faced with various problematic. Among those problems are the low level of student motivation during learning process. The phenomenon of this low motivation is found by the author based of his experience in teaching Arabic at the universities. This phenomenon encouraged the author to devote his attention in order to analyze the problems and provide a solution. After analyzing the problem, the authors found that the problem of low level of student motivation in Arabic teaching has centered on four issues, are:(1) The encouragement and the needs for teaching of Arabic, (2) the expectations and purposes in the future, (3) the learning environment, and (4) the existence of things that are interesting and fun in teaching. This indicates that the level of student motivation in learning Arabic at universities is still low. Therefore the author always thought which raises the spirit and intent to make the development, innovation, design, and improvement in the teaching process. The Author attempts to teaching Arabic with games because it has an important role in improving student motivation and maintain it. Through the individual games, the learners can develop themselves, cognition and interact with their environment. Based on the author's experience, he has tried as many as 21 language games, but in this simple article he convey about 14 games. when the games has been applied, the author found that the level of student motivation during the process of Arabic teaching is increasing.

Code switching is the process of code translation from a first language to a second language. While the code mixing is the process of inserting a second language during communication. Both of them frequently happen in education as one example in the Arabic teaching. It aims to give an understanding to students about the material presented. Therefore, the author tries to analyze about code switching and code mixing of Arabic in learning speaking skills. Related issues that need to be investigated are 1) forms of code switching and code mixing; 2) factors affecting the code switching and code mixing. Based on the analysis of data, the author found one type of code switching and code mixing and four causes of code switching and two causes of code mixing. Two types mentioned above are external code switching and external code mixing. As for the causes of code switching are factors such needs, speaker, listener and strengthening while the causes of code mixing are language and attitude.

The strategy used by the teacher is the teacher’s efforts to make learning activities more active and effective. Therefore, a pictorial conversation strategy is chosen to make the learning activities can be planned in detail by utilizing the experience, stimuli and senses of students who are able to bring the student’s imagination to the new vocabulary they have learned. Thus, this strategy can be a means for teachers and students to expand all innovation, creativity and freedom of expression of the forms of conversation that students want to give the new vocabulary to be learned. This study uses the Classroom Action Research method with the following steps; (1) Observation; (2) design of teaching plans; (3) implementation; (4) supervision; (5) reflection; (6) evaluation. This research was conducted in Nurul Islam elementary school in Sukodono-Sidoarjo, East Java. The purpose of this study is, (1) to uncover the pictorial conversation strategy in solving problems of students who have difficulty in remembering the vocabulary that has been learned; (2) fostering interest in reading and speaking in Arabic, because this strategy is equipped with images that will attract student’s attention, and (3) knowing how effective this strategy can be used in the world of education, especially in the process of learning Arabic.

The background of the researcher to discuss this research is there is a discrepancy in the delivery of teaching material by some teachers. Therefore, researchers want to know, 1) how the teacher plans to deliver the material when teaching Arabic, 2) how the application of the material is delivered, and 3) how is the suitability of the delivery of teacher teaching material with cybernetics theory. This research is a descriptive qualitative research by taking place in the Darul Ulum Jombang Superior Madrasah Aliyah. The rearch subjects were Arabic teachers and IAI 3 class X students at the superior Madrasah Aliyah Darul Ulum Jombang. Data collection using observation, interview, quessionare and documentation. This study. The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of delivering Arabic language teaching materials with cybernatics in the Darul Ulum Superior Madrasah Aliyah. Latar belakang peneliti membahas penelitian ini adalah adanya ketidaksesuaian penyampaian materi ajar oleh sebagian guru. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti ingin melihat 1) bagaimana perencanaan guru dalam menyampaikan materi ketika mengajar bahasa Arab, 2) bagaimana penerapan dari penyampaian materi tersebut dan 3) bagaimana kesesuaian penyampaian materi ajar guru dengan teori sibernetik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan mengambil latar tempat di Madrasah Aliyah Unggulan Darul Ulum Jombang. Subyek penelitiannya adalah guru bahasa Arab dan siswa kelas X IAI 3 di Madrasah Aliyah Unggulan Darul Ulum Jombang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik Observasi? Wawancara? Angket dan Dokumentasi. Penelitian Ini bertujuan untuk menguji ke efektifan penyampaian materi ajar bahasa arab dengan teori sibernetik di Madrasah Aliyah Unggulan Darul Ulum.

Technology is the evidence of progress achieved by human in science. By having technology, some instruments and means are improving to help people solve some problems of life. When researchers ask education practitioners about technology, surely they will say that technology is the use of instruments and means perfectly to help people do the daily activities. Technology also should be used in teaching-learning process at school so that it will be more effective to deliver the materials to students. The process of learning can run better by using technology than the previous era which did not use technology, especially in learning of reading skill. Aurora 3 Dimensions (3D) program is one of the computer programs which provides 3 dimensions and eye looking picture, so that students will be interested in learning reading skill. Hopefully Aurora 3 dimensions technology will influence significantly in improving students’ reading competence. Teknologi adalah bukti kemajuan yang dicapai manusia dalam bidang pengetahuan. Karena dengannya berkembanglah instrumen dan piranti untuk membantu manusia dalam memecahkan problematika hidup. Ketika peneliti bertanya kepada para praktisi pendidikan tentang teknologi, tentu mereka akan menjawab bahwa teknologi adalah penggunaan instrumen dan piranti secara sempurna untuk membantu manusia dalam melakukan aktifitas sehari-hari. Teknologi juga harus digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah yang berpeluang memudahkan penyampaian materi ajar kepada siswa. Dengan adanya teknologi proses pembelajaran bisa berjalan lebih baik dibanding masa sebelum penggunaan teknologi utamanya dalam pembelajaran keterampilan membaca. Program tiga dimensi (3 D) Aurora adalah salah satu program komputer yang mampu menghasilkan tampilan gambar dalam bentuk tiga dimensi dan eye looking sehingga akan membuat siswa tertarik dalam pembelajaran keterampilan membaca. Semoga teknologi tiga dimensi (3D) Aurora akan berpengaruh secara signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa.

Thesis (undergraduate) writing is the process of writing research that must be done by college students to complete their undergraduate study (S1). Whith this final assignment, college students are expected to be able develop their knowledge in accordance with scientific fields that have been studied systematically, logically and quality. However, the researchers found that in writing thesis (undergraduate), college students made many mistakes in writing. Therefore, researchers want to know their mistakes in writing thesis (undergraduate) and analyze them more deeply. The thesis used as the population in this study is the thesis of alumni from the Arabic language Education program at Sunan Ampel Surabaya 2015-2016. The samples taken were 35 thesis (undergraduate). This study uses qualitative and quantitative methods. The data collection method used is the documentation method. The results of analysis found by researchers from the thesis (undergraduate) that has been analyzed, show that there is a rush in completing their thesis (undergraduate), this can be seen from the errors in writing Arabic (Imla). Penulisan skripsi adalah proses penyusunan penelitian secara tertulis yang wajib dilakukan oleh mahasiswa untuk menyelesaikan studi strata satu (S1). Dengan adanya tugas akhir ini, diharapkan mahasiswa mampu mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan sesuai bidang keilmuan yang telah dipelajari secara sistematis, logis dan berbobot. Namun, peneliti menemukan bahwa dalam penulisan skripsi tersebut, mahasiswa melakukan kesalahan-kesalahan dalam penulisannya. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti ingin mengetahui kesalahan-kesalahan yang dilakukan mahasiswa dalam penulisan skripsi dan menganalisisnya dengan lebih mendalam. Adapun skripsi yang dijadikan populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah skripsi alumni prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya 2015 dan 2016. Sampel yang diambil adalah 35 skripsi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Dan metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode doumentasi. Hasil analisis yang ditemukan oleh peneliti dari skripsi yang telah dianalisis menunjukkan bahwa adanya ketergesaan peneliti dalam menyelesaikan skripsinya, hal ini terlihat dari kesalahan-kesalahan dalam penulisan bahasa Arab (Imla).

The institute for Foreign Language Development (LPBA) is a program centered on foreign language learning activities for students of the Sunan Drajat Paciran Islamic Boarding School in Lamongan. The purpose of this institution is to master foreign language, especially Arabic and English. Therefore, researchers want to know about how to apply additional lessons in the Foreign Language Development Institute (LPBA). This research was conducted at the Sunan Drajat Paciran Islamic Boarding School in Lamongan, with class XI as the sample. This study uses descriptive quantitative method to determine the efficiency of speaking skills using the test formula “t”. The results of this study indicate an increase in santri’s speaking skills after the implementation of additional learning at the Institute for Foreign Language Development (LPBA) at the Sunan Drajat Paciran Islamic Boarding School in Lamongan with the value of t count 9.823 greater that t table 2.026 and this indicates Ho is rejected. Lembaga Pengembangan Bahasa Asing (LPBA) adalah suatu program yang berpusat pada kegiatan pembelajaran bahasa asing bagi santri Pondok Pesantren Sunan Drajat Paciran Lamongan. Tujuan dari berdirinya lembaga ini adalah diharapkan agar siswa menguasai bahasa asing, terutama Bahasa Arab dan Bahasa Inggris. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti ingin mengetahui tentang bagaimana penerapan pelajaran tambahan yang ada di Lembaga Pengembangan Bahasa Asing (LPBA). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Sunan Drajat Paciran Lamongan, dengan kelas XI sebagai sampelnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif untuk mengetahui efesiensi keterampilan berbicara dengan menggunakan rumus test “t”. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan berbicara santri setelah dilaksanakan penerapan pembelajaran tambahan di Lembaga Pengembangan Bahasa Asing (LPBA) di Pondok Pesantren Sunan Drajat Paciran Lamongan. Dengan nilai t Hitung 9,823 lebih besar dari t table 2,026 dan ini menunjukkan Ho ditolak.

Learning materials are all materials used to help teacher in their learning process in the classroom, and istima’ (listening skill) is one of the four language skills that are basis for mastering other language skills such as speaking, reading and writing. The book of Silsilah Al-Daurah Al-Mukathafah fi Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyah is a book whose teaching material is sourched from several books written by learning experts in the Middle East, such as ‘Arabiyah Bayna Yadayk and Durûs Al-Lughah Al-‘Arabiyah and others. Researchers want to know about how to fill and apply the material istima’ in the book Silsilah Al-Daurah Al-Mukathafah fi Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyah in order to provide the right solution to the problems in the book using Richards theory. This study uses qualitative descriptive method to analyze the content of the book and the application of istima’ material according to the book of Silsilah Al-Daurah Al-Mukathafah fi Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyah in the Al-Fathimiyah Islamic Boarding School in Tambakberas Jombang. This study also uses descriptive analysis methods in its applied research. According to Richards in the preparation of the material istima’ uses four approaches, Bottom-Up Processing, Top-Down Processing, Transactional and Interactional. The results of this study indicate that the istima’ material in the book Silsilah Al-Daurah Al-Mukathafah fi Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyah and the application using the Bottom-up Processing and Transactional, because the material and the application are more inclined giving a detailed meaning.

Bi'ah Lughawiyyah is Arabic language environment in which a person interacting with others using the Arabic language as a communication tool. Bi'ah Lughawiyyah is the main facility for students in acquiring first and second languages. The student's first language is the mother tongue derived from birth to adulthood while their second language is Arabic obtained through bi'ah lughawiyyah. Lughawiyyah Bi'ah is very important in realizing the speaking skills for everyday communication. With the Bi'ah Lughawiyah, the very spirit and happy students in obtaining Arabic because with Bi'ah Lughawiyyah they felt as if they were living in the Middle East region so that a spirit of dialogue by using Arabic is quite high even if they are shy do not speak Arabic. Bi'ah Lughawiyyah can be obtained formally or informally on the level of education.role Bi'ah Lughawiyyah very effective in enhancing the Arabic language acquisition supported by strategies and media in line with expectations that can provide maximum results in the Arabic language acquisition

This paper is aimed to arrange teaching material for writing which will enable students to enhance their writing ability by arranging sentences through language pattern (al-anmat al-lughawiyyah). For this purpose to achieve, it is formulated three research questions as follows: 1) how is the composition of teaching material for writing skill that is based on language pattern for PBA students of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, 2) how is that teaching material of writing that is based on language pattern implememented for students of PBA department UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, 3) to what extent is the effectiveness of the teaching material implementation to enhance the ability of arranging sentences through language pattern among the students of PBA department UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya.To answer all those questions, this study employes mixed methods: quantitative through descriptive analysis approach, research and development (R&D), and also the experimental one. Indeed, it aims to examine the effectiveness of students'exercise score based on their pre and post test. Besides, as the population taken is 2nd semester students of PBA department of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, it was taken 19 of them to be the samples of this study. At the end, this study shows that the proposed hypothesis is acceptable. It however means that the implementation of teaching material designed to enhance students' writing skill through language pattern is effective for students of PBA department UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. As counted, the result of pretest was 7.15 and 7.94 for the post test. It fruitfully means that the teaching material that is developed through language pattern is effective to enhance students'writing ability
