Abstract

The institute for Foreign Language Development (LPBA) is a program centered on foreign language learning activities for students of the Sunan Drajat Paciran Islamic Boarding School in Lamongan. The purpose of this institution is to master foreign language, especially Arabic and English. Therefore, researchers want to know about how to apply additional lessons in the Foreign Language Development Institute (LPBA). This research was conducted at the Sunan Drajat Paciran Islamic Boarding School in Lamongan, with class XI as the sample. This study uses descriptive quantitative method to determine the efficiency of speaking skills using the test formula “t”. The results of this study indicate an increase in santri’s speaking skills after the implementation of additional learning at the Institute for Foreign Language Development (LPBA) at the Sunan Drajat Paciran Islamic Boarding School in Lamongan with the value of t count 9.823 greater that t table 2.026 and this indicates Ho is rejected. Lembaga Pengembangan Bahasa Asing (LPBA) adalah suatu program yang berpusat pada kegiatan pembelajaran bahasa asing bagi santri Pondok Pesantren Sunan Drajat Paciran Lamongan. Tujuan dari berdirinya lembaga ini adalah diharapkan agar siswa menguasai bahasa asing, terutama Bahasa Arab dan Bahasa Inggris. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti ingin mengetahui tentang bagaimana penerapan pelajaran tambahan yang ada di Lembaga Pengembangan Bahasa Asing (LPBA). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Sunan Drajat Paciran Lamongan, dengan kelas XI sebagai sampelnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif untuk mengetahui efesiensi keterampilan berbicara dengan menggunakan rumus test “t”. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan berbicara santri setelah dilaksanakan penerapan pembelajaran tambahan di Lembaga Pengembangan Bahasa Asing (LPBA) di Pondok Pesantren Sunan Drajat Paciran Lamongan. Dengan nilai t Hitung 9,823 lebih besar dari t table 2,026 dan ini menunjukkan Ho ditolak.

Abstract

Abstrack: Speaking skill in learning a foreign language is very important skill for every student to master. Poster session is one of the teaching methods that can improve students’ ability to speak a foreign language. Therefore, innovative learning strategies are needed in order to stimulate students to be more active and confident in speaking. This research was conducted at Mts Negeri Sidoarjo with class VIII as the sample. This study is quantitative research using data and numbers to collect data. Data collection techniques used in this study were test, observations, interviews, questionnnaires and documentation in obtaining data relating to research. The purpose of this study was to ind out how high the effectiveness of the application of the poster session method in improving the speaking skills o class VIII students of MTs Negeri Sidoarjo.

Abstract

The results of this study analyze "The impact of teacher comments on the writing skills of eleventh grade students at Salafiyah Islamic Middle School, Tangulangin Sidoarjo". The results of the questions answer the question about whether there is an influence of teacher comments on the writing skills of eleventh grade students of the Salafiyah Islamic Middle School of Tungulangin Sidwarjo. Researchers used qualitative and descriptive methods. As for the method of collecting data by means of observation, interviews and documents. This research is presented in the form of reports and descriptions, then arranged in the form of descriptive research results in the form of interactive analysis. The results of data analysis in this study are that teacher comments with scribbles in the form of written justification comments and reinforcement comments have a positive impact on improving students' writing skills as evidenced by student worksheets

Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic forces students learning using digital media or called online learning. Lack of interaction between students when learning online makes lectures have to be creative and innovate in making learning more active and effective. Therefore, “Random Pairs Group” becomes a learning model that an increase interaction between students though they have not meet face to face at all member of class for one semester. Sp, the purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the “random pairs group” in Arabic online learning. This research is a naturalstic qualitative research. Respondents of this study were intensive Arabic students of Tarbiyah faculty class N from group A and B, totaling 40 students. Data collection techniques were by observations, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the Arabic learning process using “random pairs group” learning model is able to create positive interactions between students until the communication is created that builds students’ Arabic language skills

Abstract

The policy on Independent Learning was established by the Indonesian government to promote teacher performance in midst of disruption in the educational aspect during this COVID-19 pandemic. However, teachers may not share the same perspective related to the policy. This study aims to examine Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers’ perspectives on Independent Learning policy. The research participants were IRE teachers who passed the 2019 In-service Teacher Profession Training Program at a State Islamic University in East Java, Indonesia. The mix-method research design with a qualitative-quantitative sequential exploratory analysis was used in this study. Qualitative data were obtained through telephone interviews, non-participant observations, and investigative documentary tracing, while quantitative data were obtained through a survey using online questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using the descriptive qualitative phenomenological technique and descriptive statistics. The findings show that the increase in the use of mobile learning by IRE teachers is an implication of the disruption leading to the mobilization of the educational sector to approach the Independent Learning policy based on performances in three perspectives. First, the policy is considered a critique of traditional educational practices. Second, the policy serves as a space for independence with rules and regulations that are more open for students and schools. Third, the policy is an effort to free education from social and political pressures and restraints. This study provides a new understanding of the philosophical inter-connection in teachers’ perceptions to the practice of distant learning implementation based on informational technology.

Abstract

This research is a form of teacher effort to condition the class to be more disciplined in learning. This research was taken in quantitative research to find out the causes of the problems faced by teachers in conditioning the class or classroom management of the Roudlotul Qur'an Integrated Mts students. This research is a form of field research involving students from grades VII, VIII and IX. The data collection technique is through observation, questionnaires and documentation. Data can be analyzed from each class. The subjects studied are teachers in each subject and students from class VII, VIII and IX.As for the results achieved: the teacher's efforts to make the class conducive and calm, learning can be followed smoothly, avoiding chaos and noise, playing alone with colleagues, permission to leave when teaching and learning activities are active and the main thing is to improve student discipline. Methods that can be used include: implementing learning strategies, classroom management and spatial planning, motivating students, playing games or can be interspersed with ice breaking to condition students. Basically class management in the form of classroom conditioning also affects the ongoing learning process. If teachers are not able to master classroom management efforts, the learning process will be disrupted and it will be difficult to achieve educational goals.

Abstract

Desain kurikulum adalah cermin teori pendidikan yang digunakan sekolah saat ini, yang akan digunakan dala kegiatan pembelajaran. Dari penjelasan tersebut dapat digambarkan sebagai berikut: pendidikan, kurikulum, pembelajaran. Merupakan suatu desain kurikulum yang berpusat pada bahan ajar, dan biasanya mencerminkan kegiatan pembelajaran yang didikte oleh karakteristik, prosedur, dan struktur konseptual mata pelajaran, serta keterkaitannya dengan disiplin ilmu. Agar penempatan mata pelajaran sebagai pusat pengaturan kurikulum dapat lebih bermakna, dapat dilakukan dengan memfokuskan pada proses pembelajaran dan menggunakan metode pemecahan masalah, pengambilan keputusan, inquiry, serta program komputer di kelas. Teori kurikulum merupakan konsepsi yang sangat penting dalam bidang kurikulum dan pendidikan, yang mana itu berhubungan erat sekali dengan konsep-konsep pendidikan yang berusaha menjelaskan secara sistemis dan perspektif terhadap kurikulum. Abstract

The article aims to portray students’ responses to the integration of spiritual and emotional intelligence (ESI) in Pancasila Education in the form of teaching model to improve their nationalism. The effect of ESI integration on students’ attitudes toward Pancasila and their perception of the integration in Pancasila Education are among the responses. The study includes 73 students from Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Ampel Surabaya, Institut Agama Islam Negeri Ponorogo, and Universitas Negeri Malang.  According to the findings, integrating ESI into Pancasila Education can improve students’ nationalism, as seen by positive shift in their attitudes toward Pancasila. Students view the incorporation of ESI in Pancasila Education favourably, stating that the teaching is enjoyable, interesting, not boring, as well as encouraging, active, and simple to understand. The students are also reassured in their decision to support Pancasila as the nation’s ideology. To conclude, integrating ESI into Pancasila Education in the form of a teaching model can enhance students’ nationalism and improve their perception.

Abstract

Penulisan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil belajar yang rendah siswa dalam pelajaran Bahasa Arab yang menandakan perlunya pembaharuan dalam proses pengajaran. Penilitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mengetahui maharah qira’ah siswa kelas V sebelum menerapkan metode PQ4R di MINU Tratee Putera Gresik, (2) Mengetahui pengaruh metode PQ4R terhadap peningkatan maharah qira’ah siswa di MINU Tratee Putera Gresik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis quasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian mencakup siswa kelas V ICP dan Tahfidz di MINU Tratee Putera Gresik, dengan total 70 siswa. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari tes pemahaman membaca, lembar observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum perlakuan (pretest), siswa memiliki nilai rata-rata maharah qira’ah pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 68,63 dan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 68,69, sedangkan setelah menerapkan metode PQ4R, nilai rata-rata meningkat menjadi 86,09 pada kelas eksperimen. Analisis inferensial menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest, dengan nilai signifikansi (p-value) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa metode PQ4R secara signifikan mempengaruhi peningkatan maharah qira’ah siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the freedom to learn policy with a portrait of independent learning contained in the book Adab Al-’Alim Wa Al-Muta’allim by Kiai Haji Hasyim Asy'ari. This study employed the method of literature study with a qualitative descriptive approach. The researchers used the book of Adab Al-’Alim Wa Al-Muta’allim as the main source. Then, it was analyzed with contextual analysis. The results of this study revealed the concept of the freedom to learn policy offered by Kiai Haji Hasyim Asy'ari, including: first, learning according to the field of science and competence. Second, independent learning activities aim to create a generation with loyalty, piety, noble character, more creativity, the ability to work together, global diversity, critical thinking, and independence characteristics. Third, Kiai Haji Hasyim Asy'ari also developed literacy potential by reviewing various reference materials. The fourth is improving the ability of educators. Further, this research is expected to strengthen the freedom to learn curriculum from the perspective of Islamic education leaders.
