Abstract

The difficulties in learning maharah kalam at the level of suprsegmental phonemes are found when students learn Arabic. Intonation errors, stress, and pausing. Therefore, this research was conducted to find out these mistakes and the solutions given by teacher in SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Surabaya. This research is a qualitative descriptive with the population of 8th grade student and the sampling is 8th grade C. Data collection techniques used in this research are using the method of observation, interview and questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used aredata reduction, data display, and data verification. The results showed: 1) errors in word stress were 49 errors; 2) errors in intonation were 30 errors; 3) errors at pauses were 55 errors. The solutions given by teacher with these mistakes were: 1) instructing students to repeat the dialogue to use the right intonation, stress, dan pause; 2) translating the text of theconversation and students writing the translation in their books, then the students will better understand the difference in meaning from the differences in intonation, stress, dan pause; 3) the teacher gives examples of the correct pronounciation of words according to the right intonation, stress, and pause.

Abstract

Abstract: As one component of language learning, the learning method becomes a determinant of the course of an effective and efficient learning process. This requires the professionalism of teachers to be able to implement certain methods in the learning process. The purpose of this paper is to determine the application of the Grammatical Hunting language game method, to find out students' responses to the learning methods applied, and their advantages and disadvantages in learning Arabic in class 3/1 Mutawasith Khoiriyah Wittaya Mulnithi Betong, Yala, Thailand. This research is a descriptive quantitative research. The sample of this research is students of class 3/1 Mutawasith Khoiriyah Wittaya Mulnithi Betong, Yala, Thailand was 25 students. The research technique applied was a non-test technique with data collection instruments in the form of observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that (1) The application of the Grammatical Hunting language game method consisted of 3 stages, namely: introduction, core activities, and closing. (2) Students show the best responses to the methods applied in the form of increased interest and activeness in learning Arabic, that is 89,77 %. (3) The advantages of this method are eliminating boredom, creating cooperation, and supportive between students, while the disadvantages of applying this method, namely the number of groups and the crowded class.

Abstract

Translation is involved in human’s activity and social development and it is an international communication tool between people of different languages and cultures. The Arabs have been aware of the art of translation since ancient times. The Qur'an has discussed on the fact that people are created differently in races, ethnics, languages and customs. Translations are not exclusive to a linguistic activity based on what is said, or what is written, it also includes a complex epistemic and linguistic work. Translations are effective in spreading cultures and civilisation. Arabic language is the identity of those people who express their culture, combine their ideas, which is the indication of a nation's progress and deterioration. Translation is a link in a chain that begins with knowledge acquisition in the first language and ends with culture, through the construction of the intellectual system and the strengthening of its individual and social identity. From the above statement, we are confident that translation plays a vital role in the process of adaptation between different nations and civilizations, as this is still the most sucessful way to integrate one civilisation with another and vice versa; This has played an effective role in the progress of nations, and creates dialogues between different ideas, working to bridge the gap between different civilisations and nations, and strive to expand ideology and develop identity whilst preserving it from deterioration.

Abstract

Didalam penyusunan kurikulum, haruslah memperhatikan landasan epistimologi dengan melihat beberapa gagasan pakar pendidikan bahasa Arab mengenai hal tersebut, di antaranya adalah gagasan Mahmud Kamil An-Naqoh. Artikel ini merupakan penelitian library research yang bertujuan untuk mengkaji tentang epistimologi kurikulum bahasa Arab perspektif Mahmud Kamil An-Naqoh. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kajian pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan ada empat dasar yang menjadi landasan menyusunan kurikulum bahasa Arab perspektif Mahmud Kamil An-Naqoh, yaitu: (1) dasar linguistik/al-lughawiyyah, (2) dasar sosial-budaya/a?-?aq?fiyyah, (3) dasar psikologi/an-nafsiyyah, dan (4) dasar edukatif/at-tarbawiyyah. Akan tetapi dari ke empat pembagian tersebut, Mahmud Kamil An-Naqoh masih membaginya lagi menjadi lima bagian, yaitu: (1) pengalaman dan praktik bahasa/al-khibroh al-lughawiyah wa al-mum?rosah, (2) sifat bahasa Arab/?ob?`atu al-lughah al-`Arabiyah, (3) sosial budaya Arab/a?-?aq?fah al-`Arabiyah, (4) sifat pembelajar bahasa (peserta didik)/?ob?`atu al-muta`allimin lilughah, dan (5) sifat pengajaran bahasa Arab sebagai bahasa Asing/?ob?`atu `amaliyatu ta`lim al-`Arabiyah bi`itib?roh? lughah ajnabiyah. Sehingga dari dasar epistimologi tersebut terumuslah lima komponen kurikulum menurut Mahmud Kamil An-Naqoh, yaitu: (1) tujuan/al-ahd?f, (2) isi/materi/al-muhtaw?, (3) metode/a?-?uruqu, (4) panduan pengajar/guru bahasa Arab/dal?lu mu`allim al-lughah al-`Arabiyah, dan (5) evaluasi/at-taqw?m. Abstract

This study aims to find out how the application of the problem based learning (PBL), and the learning outcomes of Nahwu students; and to know the effect of the problem based learning model on Nahwu results at Wahid Hasyim Sleman High School. This type of research is Experimental Research with comparative data. The subject of this research is class X Mipa 1 as an experimental class and class X IPS as a control class. The results of this study indicate that the average experimental class students before applying the PBL learning model is 74. While the average control class students before being given treatment is 72. The average experimental class students after applying the PBL is 85, and the average control class after being given a treatment of 74. From the results of the T test analysis obtained a significance value of 0,000. That is, the PBL is influential in improving student Nahwu learning outcomes. This shows that the class given a PBL model on average is bigger than the class applied in the conventional learning model. The difference is significant. That is, the PBL model is influential in improving the learning outcomes of Nahwu.

Abstract

Abstarct Learning Arabic, especially syntax requires deep learning of analogy, and this learning is at the highest level so it is impossible to leave this discussion, but it must be deepened. One of the Nahwu scholars who used analogy in determining law was Sibawaih, the imam of the Nahwu experts. The book by Sibawaih which is duubed the “Qur’an Ilmu Nahwu” is a a source of learning for nahwu because it contains a discussion of Nahwu’s problem, along with its rules, analogy, and their causes. The purpose of this study is to determine the form of analogy in Sibawaih’s book and kinds of kinds. In this discussion, the researcher describe the “Forms of analogy in the Sibawaih’s Book” with the research method of literature research to describe the form of analogy in the Sibawaih’s book, as for the completion of the discussion by examining previous book that discuss the theory. The conclusion of this study is that Sibawaih has used analogy in law-talking in Nahwu science, and these analogy can be seen in his book “Al-Kitab” which is the main source of Nahwu learning from ancient times and today. And this analogy produces nahwu’s laws such as “wujub, man’u, jawaz”. Among the kinds of analogy found in the Sibawaih’s book, namely “qiyas al-‘ilah, qiyas as-syibh, al qiyas allafdhi, al qiyas al ma’nawi” seen from a different point of view.

Abstract

In essence, the success of female students in the learning in Gontor not only with intelligence possessed, but there are other factors that will influence this, that factor was the ability to speak Arabic. Arabic language skills is the ability of a person to has the ability to speak include: the ability of hearing, speech, reading, and writing skills are good and right. One of the parties responsible and plays an important role in instilling the ability to speak Arabic in ITTC Darussalam Gontor is master of class, because master of class is as representative headmaster and Director of KMI. Moreover, a new student class 1 KMI much needed next grade level This research is a qualitative descriptive field research, data collection techniques used are: 1) Interview, 2) Observation, and 3) Documentation. And to analyze the data, researchers use Miles and Huberman, namely: 1) Data Reduction, 2) Presentation of Data, and 3) Withdrawal Conclusion and Verivikasi Data. Therefore, the role and efforts master of class 1 in imparting language skills is required. From the analysis conducted, the researcher concludes that: 1) The role of the homeroom teacher in instilling the ability of the language is very important, and the role is: a) Motivate and teach students to be able to have language skills, b) Teaching Arabic with props and requires students to bring dictionary, c) Provide new vocabulary, d) Provide good example, e) Guarding to participate in the following language activities.

Abstract

In the learning process there is an interaction between teachers and students. This cannot be separated from the need for instructional media to support the continuity of learning. So that the knowledge conveyed by the teacher can be well received and can be practiced directly by students, especially in learning Arabic. Along with the times, applications that can be used to support the learning process are starting to emerge, it is fitting to use digital applications as a medium for learning Arabic. One of the applications that can be used is the Mondly application which can be operated on an Android phone. The teacher uses the Mondly application as a learning medium, and after being implemented at SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surabaya, it is known that the use of the Mondly application for learning Arabic is effective with a comparison of the results of the T-test count between the pre-test and post-test.

Abstract

writing skills are one of the most difficult language skills for students, this is because students must be able to choose the right diction and master the complex rules of Arabic grammar to be able to compose Arabic sentences properly and express what in their mind in writing. The team Assisted Indivualization method is one of the methods that emphasizes cooperative learning, while the ChainImage Description media is one of the learning media thatcan stimulate students to think and describe an object. Therefore, this study discuss the Team Asissted Individualization method using Chain Image Description media to improve writing skills. This study uses quantitative methods. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, documentation and tests. The population in tihis study were student’s of MTs DarulUlum Waru Sidoarjo, while the sample was class 7A. The effertiveness in the application of the Team Assisted Individualization method using Chain Image Description media with the results of T-Count=16 from the results of the analysis using the T-Test. And from here itcan be seen that T-Count is greater than the T-Table and this shows that the hypothesis HO is rejected and the hyphotesis Ha is accepted.

Abstract

This article was conducted to solve the problems faced by students regarding the difficulty of understanding Arabic text in class X textbooks. And applications are offered to solve these problems with the Mutarjim dictionary application which can help and make it easier for them to access Arabic vocabulary quickly and easily. The method used is descriptive qualitative, data obtained by interviews. Then data was collected which eventually found various problems. Departing from this problem, the data is analyzed so that it finds a solution for solve it. From the research results found a solution, namely by using the Mutarjim dictionary as a tool in translating Arabic text. The steps are (1) enter text; (2) choose the base word in the vocabulary (3) read the whole equivalent in the target text; (4) looking for the right equivalent in accordance with the culture contained in the source language and target language
