Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to describe student responses to Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning in improving Higher Order Thinking Skills for students of SMP Negeri 4 Binjai. This type of research is descriptive research. The research subjects were 30 students of SMP Negeri 4 Binjai with a composition of 12 men and 18 women. The data analysis technique used a non-test technique, namely the student response questionnaire. Student responses were said to be positive towards PBL learning seen from four aspects namely feeling happy about the learning component, the novelty of the learning component used, students interested in participating in PBL learning activities, and interested in language, written appearance, teacher illustrations and the location of the images contained in the LAS. The results of the study are students giving a positive response to PBL learning shown by students happy with the PBL learning component, the PBL learning component used is new, students are interested in participating in PBL learning activities, and are interested in language, written appearance, teacher illustrations and the location of the images contained on LAS.Keywords: Problem Based Learning, Response, HOTS.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe match mine terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematik siswa kelas X SMK Bisnis dan manajemen APIPSU Medan tahun ajaran 2017/2018 pada pokok bangun ruang. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X semester genap SMK Bisnis dan manajemen APIPSU Medan tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode Cluster Random Sampling (sampel acak kelompok) yaitu pengambilan sampel dengan cara mengambil 2 unit kelas untuk eksperimen dan kontrol. Dalam penelitian ini kelas X-1 dengan jumlah 24 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X-2 dengan jumlah 24 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan semu eksperimen (quasi eksperiment) pada dua kelas dengan perlakuan yang berbeda. Berdasarkan analisis data dan pengujian hipotesis yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan diterapkannya model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe match mine pada kelas eksperimen disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe match mine terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematik siswa.

Abstract. The purpose of this paper is in the form of a literature study of the ability of statistical reasoning. The study was conducted on the understanding of statistical reasoning abilities, identifying and developing statistical reasoning abilities by tracing the opinions of experts as well as related research results about developing statistical reasoning abilities in the learning process. Abstract

Abstract. This research is a Classroom Action Research which aims to improve the mathematical reasoning ability of students of class VIII Mts Islamiyah Medan through the Open-Ended approach. The subjects in this study were all students of class VIII-1 MTs Islamiyah Medan, totaling 24 students. This research was conducted in 2 cycles, namely cycle I and II, each of which consisted of two meetings. The instruments used in this study were observation guidelines for implementing learning with the Open-Ended approach, cycle tests to measure students' mathematical reasoning abilities towards learning mathematics with the Open-Ended approach, interview guidelines and documentation. Data from observations, tests, and questionnaires were analyzed quantitatively which was strengthened by the results of interviews and descriptive qualitative documentation. The results showed that the mathematical reasoning ability of students in class VIII-1 MTs Islamiyah Medan increased from cycle I to cycle II after learning was carried out with the Open-Ended approach. This is shown by as many as 20 students or 83.3% experienced an increase in mathematical reasoning ability based on the total score of aspects of mathematical reasoning ability. The average percentage of test scores increased from 66.6% in the first cycle to 83.3% in the second cycle and in the high category. Based on observations of the implementation of learning with the Open-Ended approach is good and in accordance with the characteristics of the Open-Ended Approach. Based on the results of interviews and questionnaire results data student responses to mathematics learning in relation to mathematical reasoning abilities, increased from cycle I to cycle II.Keywords: Mathematical Reasoning Ability, Open-Ended Approach.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of anxiety and intelligence analytic study on the ability to learn statistics. The research was conducted on university students Indraprasta Indonesian education courses. The sample consisted of 60 students. Samples were taken by random sampling technique. The method used in this research is the survey method with correlation and regression analysis. The results of this study prove the influence of anxiety and intelligence analytic study on the ability to learn statistics. The magnitude of the correlation between variables correlation anxiety and intelligence analytic study together with the ability to learn statistics is 0.743, which means the correlation is strong. anxiety and intelligence analytic study jointly contribute statistical learning ability by 55.2%, while the rest influenced by other factors. While the regression equation formed between the anxiety of learning and intelligence analytic and statistical learning ability is Y = 24.51 + 0,247X1 + 0,145X2Keywords: Anxiety Learning, Intelligence Analytical, the ability of Statistics, Influence.

Abstract

Abstrak. Masalah yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan Prestasi belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode ceramah pada mata pelajaran Matematika . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Matematika dengan menggunakan metode ceramah dan pemberian tugas di Kelas VI.A SD Negeri Nomor 067250 Kecamatan Medan DeliT.A 2018/2019.Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa di Kelas SD Negeri Nomor 067250 Kecamatan Medan Deli T.A 2018/2019 yang berjumlah 40 orang siswa. Penentuan subjek penelitian diperoleh berdasarkan Prestasi observasi yang dilakukan oleh peneliti. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam 2 siklus dan 4 tahapan yaitu : perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamtan dan refleksi. Dimana setiap siklus dilakukan dua kali pertemuan dan masing-masing pertemuan dilaksanakan 2 x 40 menit. Alat pengumpul data yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah observasi dan tes.Observasi digunakan untuk mengetahui aktifitas siswa dengan rencana yang telah disiapkan. Tes digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan siswa dalam asfek kognitif, atau tingkat penguasaan materi pelajaran.Berdasarkan dari Prestasi belajar siswa pada tes awal dengan nilai rata rata 52, 81  dengan ketuntasan klasikal 21,81%.  Pada  pertemuan Siklus I rata-rata 64,68  dengan ketuntasan klasikal 37,5%, sedangkan pada Siklus II rata-rata 86,56 dengan ketutasan klasikalnya mencapai 90,62% . Maka dapat kita lihat bahwasannya Prestasi belajar siswa dapat meningkat dengan menggunakan metode ceramah dan pemberian tugas pada mata pelajaran matematika di Kelas VI.A SD Negeri Nomor 067250 Kecamatan Medan DeliT.A 2018/2019 .Dari Prestasi penelitian di atas dapat disimpulkan dengan menggunakan metode ceramah dan pemberian tugas  dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar pada mata pelajaran Matematika  Kelas Kelas VI.A   SD Negeri Nomor 067250 Kecamatan Medan Deli T.A 2018/2019. Kata Kunci: Upaya meningkatkan prestasi belajar, jenis-jenis bangun ruang, metode ceramah Abstract. The problem examined in this study is to improve student learning achievement by using lecture methods in Mathematics subjects. This study aims to improve student achievement in mathematics by using the lecture method and assignments in Class VI.A Public Elementary School Number 067250 Medan DeliT.A 2018/2019.The subjects in this study were students in the Public Elementary Class Number 067250 Medan Deli T.A 2018/2019 District, totaling 40 students. Determination of research subjects obtained based on the achievement of observations made by researchers. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in 2 cycles and 4 stages, namely: planning, implementation, observationand reflection. Where each cycle is carried out two meetings and each meeting is held 2x 40 minutes. Data collection tool used in this study is observation and tests. Observation is used to determine student activities with plans that have been prepared. The test is used to measure students' abilities in cognitive asfect, or the level of mastery of subject matter.Based on student achievement on the initial test with an average value of 52, 81 with a classical completeness of 21.81%. At the Cycle I meeting an average of 64.68 with a classical completeness of 37.5%, while in Cycle II an average of 86.56 with a classical completeness reached 90.62%. Then we can see that student achievement can be improved by using the lecture method and assignments to mathematics subjects in Class VI.A Public Elementary School Number 067250 Medan Deli T.A 2018/2019 District.From the above research achievement, it can be concluded using the lecture method and assignments can improve learning achievement in Mathematics in Class VI.A Grade SD Negeri 067250 Medan Deli T.A Subdistrict 2018/2019. Keywords: Efforts to improve learning achievement, types of building space, lecture method.

Abstract

Abstrak. LKS yang digunakan di sekolah masih berupa rumus yang belum menekankan pada konsep matematika dan usaha peserta didik untuk mengkonstruk sendiri akan materi juga masih minim. Dalam kehidupan sehari–hari banyak permasalahan yang dapat kita gunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKS yang memenuhi syarat valid, reliabel, efektif dan efisien sehingga baik digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4D-1 (tanpa menggunakan tahapan disseminate). Secara keseluruhan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan lembar kerja siswa berbasis pendekatan realistic mathematics education telah memenuhi kriteria penting dalam penelitian pengembangan, yaitu valid, reliabel, efektif dan efisien. Validnya LKS ditunjukkan oleh penilaian yang diberikan validator terhadap aspek format, bahasa yang digunakan, serta isi materi yang dikembangkan. Reliabelnya LKS ditunjukkan oleh kesesuaian penilaian yang diberikan validator terhadap isi materi yang dikembangkan. Adapun efektifitas penggunaan LKS ditunjukkan oleh positifnya respon siswa terhadap komponen dan proses penggunaan LKS yang melebihi 80%. Efisiensi penggunaan LKS ditunjukkan oleh besarnya persentasi ketuntasan belajar siswa yang melebihi syarat minimum ketuntasan belajar klasikal. Kata Kunci: lembar kerja siswa, penelitian pengembangan, realistic mathematics education. Abstract. Student worksheets used in schools are still formulas that have not emphasized the mathematical concept, and the business of learners to self-construct the material is still minimal. In daily life, many problems that we can use in the learning process. Therefore, this research aims to produce valid, reliable, effective and efficient student worksheets that are both used in the learning process. This research is development research using 4D-1 development model (without using disseminate stage). Overall, it can conclude that the development of a student worksheet based on a realistic mathematics education approach has fulfilled the essential criteria in development research, i.e. valid, reliable, effective and efficient. The validity of student worksheets indicated by the assessment of the form, language used, or content of the materials. The reliability of the student worksheets demonstrated by conformity assessment given the validator to the content of the developed material. The effectiveness of student worksheets demonstrated by the positive response of students to the components and processes exceeding 80%. The efficiency of the use of student worksheets demonstrated by the magnitude of student learning, which exceeds the minimum requirement of classical learning. Keywords: Student worksheets, development research, realistic mathematics education.

Abstract

Abstrak. Masalah ini menelaah Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe example non example. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu Bagaimana penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe example non example dalam meningkatkan proses belajar pada mata pelajaran matemmatika tentang satuan waktu di kelas II SD Negeri 79 Parepare. Apakah penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe example non example pada mata pelajaran matematika tentang satuan waktu dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif  tipe example non example dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (pendekatan kualitatif). Subjek penelitian ini yakni siswa kelas II berjumlah 32 siswa yang terdiri dari 10 siswa perempuan dan 22 siswa  laki-laki. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yakni teknik analisis interaktif. Pada siklus I hasil tes belajar matematika siswa berada pada kategori Cukup (C). Pada siklus II hasil tes belajar matematika siswa telah berada pada kategori Baik (B). Aktifitas guru dan aktifitas siswa juga meningkat pada setiap siklusnya. Kesimpulannya yaitu penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif  tipe example non example dapat meningkatkan proses dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas II SD Negeri 79 Parepare Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Example Non Example, Hasil Belajar Abstract. This problem examines about Cooperative Learning Model Type Example Non Example. Formulation of the problem in this research that is how to apply cooperative learning model type Example Non Example to improving the learning process on the math subjects about unit of time in class II SD Negeri 79 Parepare. What is the application  cooperative learning model type Example Non Example on the math subjects about unit of time can to improve the students learning outcomes. This research aims to find out how to apply cooperative learning model type Example Non Example to improve the students learning outcomes. This research type is a classroom action research (qualitative approach). Subject in this research is student class II a total of 32 students consisting of 10 female student and 22 male student. Data collection techniques used are observation, test, and documentation.. Data analysis techniques used are interactive analysis. In the first cycle the result of the student’s mathematics learning test were in the sufficient category. In the second cycle the result of the student’s mathematics learning test were in the good category. Teacher activity and student activity also increases in each cycle. The conclusion is that this study shows that by application cooperative learning model type Example Non Example to improve the mathematics learning process and result of class II SD Negeri 79 Parepare. Keywords: Cooperative Learning Model Type Example Non Example, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

AbstractResearch conducted on the class V students of SD by applying the model Team Games Tournament (TGT) which contextual folklore of North Sumatra in the sub subject of integer operations. This research aims to improve students' motivation to learn mathematics class V Field Elementary School.This research is an action research and the analyzed data are quantitative data and qualitative data. The results showed differences in learning motivation of fifth grade elementary school students using the Team Games Tournament (TGT) model in learning integers from low to high. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas V SD dengan menerapkan model Team Games Turnamen (TGT) yang berkonteks cerita rakyat Sumatera Utara pada sub pokok bahasan operasi bilangan bulat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika siswa kelas V SD. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan dan data yang dianalisa adalah data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan motivasi belajar matematika siswa kelas V SD mengunakan model Team Games Turnamen (TGT) dalam pembelajaran bilangan bulat dari tergolong rendah menjadi  tergolong tinggi. Abstract

Abstrak. Salah satu permasalahan terbesar dalam pembelajaran matematika modern ialah kebiasaan guru dalam menyajikan ilmu matematika dalam bentuk produk jadi, siap pakai, abstrak dan diajarkan secara mekanistik. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dilihat dari capaian pembelajaran siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan di SMP Islam Al-Ullum Terpadu, Medan. Pembelajaran dilaksanakan untuk mengajarkan materi dasar aljabar pada siswa kelas VII yang berjumlah  38 orang siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes dan non-tes. Tes yang digunakan berbentuk uraian sebanyak 5 butir soal yang mengacu pada kemampuan siswa dalam pemecahan masalah. Sedangkan instrumen non tes digunakan untuk mengamati aktivitas yang terjadi selama proses pembelajaran di kelas. Siswa dinyatakan tuntas secara individu apabila memperoleh nilai lebih dari 75 dengan kriteria ketuntasan belajar minimal 75% dari total siswa. Disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan matematika realistik dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada saat siklus II yang dilihat dari rata-rata kemampuan siswa di kelas, yaitu dari 72,474 menjadi 76,895; persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal siswa, yaitu dari 52,63% menjadi 78,95%; demikian pula yang terjadi jika dilihat dari aspek ketuntasan siswa dalam menerapkan prosedur penyelesaian masalah, yaitu dengan rata-rata persentase peningkatan sebesar 8,553.Kata Kunci: pendekatan matematika realistik, kemampuan siswa, pemecahan masalah. Abstract. One of the biggest problems in modern mathematics learning is the practice of teachers in presenting mathematics in the form of finished products, ready-made, abstract and mechanistic teaching. The purpose of this research is to determine the enhancement of student problem-solving skills seen from student learning access. This research is a class action research conducted in the integrated Al-Ullum Islamic Junior high School, Medan. They were learning conducted to teach the primary algebraic material in class VII students that are 38 students. The instruments used are test and non-test. The test used is a description of 5 rounds of questions that refer to the ability of students in problem-solving. Non-test instruments used to observe activities that occur during the learning process in the classroom. The student completed learning when obtaining a value of more than 75 with a minimum learning criteria of 75% of the total students. It concluded that the realistic mathematical approach could improve problem-solving skills during the II cycle seen from the average student's ability in the class, i.e. from 72.474 to 76.895; Percentage of the student's classical learning, which is from 52.63% to 78.95%; Similarly, if viewed from the student's submission aspect in implementing a problem-solving procedure, that is with an average percentage increase of 8.553.Keywords: realistic mathematical approaches, student skills, problem-solving.
