The purpose of this research is to analyze interest in Junior High School students of learning in mathematics subject. In this research using qualitative approach with descriptive method, and the population is student in one of Junior High School in Bekasi. Sample in this research is 22 students. Non tes instrument or questionnaire using in this research with 18 item of statement that cover positive and negative statement. This instrument is made of 4 indicator of interest in mathematics subject. The data analysis technique used in this reserach is to use the formula dor the percentage of students’ answers which are then described using the criteria for interpreting the results of students’ answers. The result is obtained from analyze this research that show interest of learn mathematic subject in feeling happier in attend mathematics subject, having interest in attend every mathematic study hours, and has discipline attitude in studying mathematics that shows most of the student having interest in studying mathematics. And for indicator more attention and specific in learn mathematis, most of student give more attention for mathematic subject. In general percentage of average in questionnaire data shows that 72,25% it means mainly student in Junior High School in Bekasi have interest in mathematics subject.

This study aims to describe the mistakes made by students of grade IX Middle School. As well as analyzing the factors that cause students to mistake in completing the material on flat side spaces in junior high school students in Cimahi City. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The sample taken for this study was 10 students of class IX in one junior high school in Cimahi City. The test instrument was given as many as 5 items. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that there are errors in solving the problem of getting up the flat side space, namely: (1) not understanding the basic concept of building a flat side space; (2) lack of understanding of questions or lack of thoroughness in reading problems so students' answers are incomplete; (3) lack of mastery of the principle or conceptual relationship between flat figures (prerequisites regarding the Pythagorean theorem); (4) don't memorize the formula; (5) lack of precision in the calculation process. And this shows that grade IX students in Cimahi City are still low in solving problems in the material to build flat side spaces.

This study uses descriptive qualitative research. The population taken by the researcher is students from class IX in one of the public schools in Bandung Regency, and the sample in this study were 22 student of class IX-H at the same school. The data collection method use in this study was a test description method with a test containing 8 question which were arranged based on the cognitive bloom level. The results of the test are processed by measuring the percentage of each category indicator in the level of difficulty, namely the very high, hight, quite high, low and very low categories. The results of the study indicate that the difficulties faced by students in answering the flat-sided geometry material are: (a) students have a lot of difficulties in understanding the basic concepts of building space. (b) students still find it difficult to determine which formula should be used and students have difficulty understanding the meaning of the problem. (c) not analyzing the command of the question properly.

This study aims to find out the difficulties of junior high school students in working on descriptive questions on social arithmetic material and to analyze the factors. The subjects of this study were 26 students of class VIII SMP Buana Panca Bakti Cianjur totaling 26 people in the 2019-2020 school year. Data collection in this study was conducted by means of tests, interviews and documentation. Before the interview, a math test was conducted with 5 questions of social arithmetic material. After the tests and interviews are carried out, the results of the tests and interviews are analyzed and taken from the difficulties the students experience when working on social arithmetic questions. The data analysis techniques used in this study were: (1) data reduction, by selecting the main things and focusing the important things, (2) data presentation, presenting the data on student work, (3) drawing conclusions. The results showed that the students' difficulties when solving social arithmetic problems were difficulties in understanding the problems because social arithmetic problems were in the form of story problems, difficulties in mathematical models and difficulties in the process or steps of completion. The factors that cause students' difficulties because students are lazy to read the questions, it is difficult to digest the words and the meaning of the questions, students are less interested in learning mathematics, and students do not understand the arithmetic operation well.

This research is a descriptive study with the aim of knowing and analyzing the results of student work on questions of mathematical communication skills. This study took the subjects from private junior high schools in Cimahi as many as 25 grade IX students. The data collection technique is by means of test questions, consisting of 5 questions in description with each question representing one indicator of mathematical communication. Based on the data analysis, it was found that the mathematical communication skills of grade IX junior high school students on the curved side of the building material were quite good. Of the 5 indicators of mathematical communication, there are 2 indicators that are classified as high, namely the indicator that states the situation becomes a mathematical model and the indicator interprets the mathematical model into ordinary language. Then 1 indicator that is classified as moderate, namely the indicator that states daily events become a mathematical symbol and 2 indicators that are classified as low, namely the indicator of interpreting and compiling mathematical questions and the indicator of compiling arguments and writing down the reasons.

This study was conducted aiming to describe the types of difficulties experienced by vocational students when working on trigonometry problems. This type of research is conducted using descriptive qualitative with a description test instrument total 4 questions. The data analysis technique uses the calculation of the level of control and the percentage of student difficulties. The subjects of this study were 31 students of class XI SMK PGRI 1 Cimahi. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the difficulties experienced by vocational students when completing trigonometric problems in the school are 1) Difficulty understanding the problem that is 100%, 2) Difficulty not continuing the completion process that is 54.1%, 3) Difficulty completing questions / the calculation is 40.8% and 5) the difficulty of not writing results is 80.8%. The causes of difficulties experienced by students are 1) Students are not accustomed to understanding the problem that is not writing out what is known and asked in solving problems, 2) Students are not accustomed to writing the final results of the questions that have been done even though the results found were correct, and 4) Lack of student understanding and concept understanding of the material. So that learning needs to prioritize concepts and understanding of material that has been learned beforehand.

Students' mathematical communication skills need to be known given that this ability is very necessary for students. So, this study focuses on knowing these abilities in triangular and quadrilateral material. The subjects were 35 students of class VIID SMP PGRI 384 Rendeh. The form of data retrieval is by giving 5 written test items. The data obtained were given a score and then grouped according to the category of mathematical communication skills. The data analysis technique uses scoring calculations with categorization based on the percentage of student scores. Based on the results of the analysis, the mean value of all instruments obtained for the indicators connecting real objects and diagrams into real life is 69% and 80%, respectively. Explain situation ideas and mathematical relations verbally with real objects, pictures, graphics and algebra, namely 72%. Expressing everyday events in language or mathematical symbols, namely 65%. Making conjectures, formulating definitions, generalizations, and making arguments 73%. So that if it is totaled and averaged it reaches 72%. So the mathematical communication skills of class VIID SMP PGRI 384 Rendeh are high.

In order to reduce and break the chain of spread of the covid-19 virus, the government through the minister of education and culture makes a policy if the teaching and learning activity process is carried out daring. In the daring teaching and learning process, a teacher is required to be able to make interesting and interactive teaching materials that can be presented daring. A lot of research has proven the advantages of animation-based teaching materials, but currently there are still few trigonometry-based teaching materials. The purpose of this research is to develop animation-based trigonometric teaching materials during the Covid-19 epidemic. This research consists of sessions on define, design, and develop. The data processing technique is in the form of qualitative data including the results of filling out the validation form, the teacher practicality evaluation form, the student practicality evaluation form and the learning application observation form. The observation form is divided into 5 options, each evaluation score 1, score 2, score 3, score 4 score . 5. The results of this research are that this teaching material is suitable for use with very feasible criteria with an evaluation score of 85%, and media experts give a score of 78% which is categorized as feasible. In the small group trial, an average of 80 was obtained with the very feasible category. As well as large group trials obtained an average of 72 with the feasible category. Thus this animation-based trigonometric teaching material can be used as an alternative to teaching materials that attract students' interest.

The research carried out aims to describe the mathematical reasoning abilities of junior high school students. The approach used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. This research carried out using subjects from class VIII H students at one of SMP Negeri Karawang Timur with a total of 39 students. The instrument in this study uses questions of mathematical reasoning skills with 4 quadrilateral subjects in the form of descriptions. The data collection technique in this research carried out by giving 4 questions of mathematical reasoning ability test in the form of descriptions. The data analysis technique used in the research carried out applied the research of Miles and Huberman consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the explanation of the results and discussion namely 6 students with high mathematical reasoning abilities, 27 students with moderate mathematical reasoning abilities, and 6 students with low mathematical reasoning abilities, it was concluded that the mathematical reasoning abilities of junior high school students class VIII H at the school were in solving quadrilateral problems included in the medium category.

This research aims to analyze the types of errors caused by students in solving math story problems based on Polya's completion steps. This research used a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach and the research subjects were 22 students of class 10. The data collection technique used was a description test with 3 items. The results showed that the student's errors at the step of understanding the problem were 32.46% with a fairly high category, the student's errors at the step of making a plan were 12.93% with a small category, the student's errors at the step of carrying out the plan were 25.19% with a high enough category, and the student’s errors at the step of look back at the completed solution were of 29.43% with a high enough category.
