Abstract

Being able to think creatively is crucial for kids since creativity is required to address difficulties. The purpose of this research was to find out the characteristics of creative thinking ability of high school students in relation to a  two-variable linear equation system. This study was conducted in a  high school in West Bandung district, and one class, namely class VIII B, with 23 students participated in the study. The method  used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method. This study used test instruments and non-test instruments in the form of questions and interviews. The effects confirmed that students have been able to resolve questions based on only  two indicators of creative thinking ability, ie. fluency 55.32% and flexibility 68%, and students could not  solve tasks based on news indicators one 14,44%. Based on the results of the interviews, this resulted in students who generally could not work  and solve questions with their own answers or thoughts, but only procedurally followed the SPLDV problem solving method.

Abstract

By using bibliometric analysis with Biblioshiny and computational mapping with VOSviewer, the purpose of this investigation is to investigate the evolution of research on didactic design in primary schools. In order to obtain data from the Dimension software, which served as a reference manager, we searched the titles and abstracts of papers for the terms "didactical design" and "primary school." The search was conducted on March 3, and it turned up 110 documents that matched the criteria and had a publishing range of 2016 to 2023. Articles and proceedings were found to be the sources that were referred to the most frequently, with a total of 18,094 citations and an average of 18.11 citations per article. The average h-index and g-index for all articles were 61 and 109, respectively. Additionally, the data from the findings show that research on didactic design in elementary schools has been widely conducted and is continuing to increase, indicating that it has a good chance of being associated with other significant terms in the years to come, both in the current year and in the future.

Abstract

This study looks at how difficult it is for seventh grade students of junior high school in working on comparison problems in terms of gender. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach used for this study. 10 students consisting of 5 male students and 5 female students from SMPN 02 Cililin were used as research subjects. The instrument used in the study was five items in the form of descriptions. The results of student test scores based on comparison questions are used in collecting research data, with indicators 1) restating a concept 2) applying concepts or algorithms in problem solving, 3) using and utilizing and having certain procedures or operations, based on the conclusions from the research results that is, it was concluded that the ability of class VII male students of SMPN 02 Cililin in working on comparison questions was still weak compared to female students. Lack of enthusiasm in participating in learning, student attitudes in participating in learning because they are used to online school, so students do not really understand the material that has been delivered.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the mathematical critical thinking ability of students who obtain a Scientific Approach compared to those who obtain ordinary learning. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The research subject in this study were students of SMPN 9 Cimahi, who were randomly selected from two classes out of all 8 grades. Then two classes were randomly assigned to become the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class gets learning with a Scientific Approach and the control class gets regular learning. The instrument used is a test of mathematical critical thinking skills. From the results of the data analysis it was concluded that an increase in the ability to think critically mathematically of students who received a Scientific Approach was better than those who received regular learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze and describe students' mathematical problem-solving abilities, especially in the matter of opportunities by using a scientific approach which is reviewed based on their learning style. The research subjects were 12 class VIII students. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The instrument in this study was in the form of a written essay test on opportunity material with 6 questions with 5 indicators of mathematical problem-solving ability and interview guidelines. The result of this study shows that the mathematical problem solving ability of students with visual learning style obtained a percentage of 80% with the category "High", auditorial learning style obtained a percentage of 76% with the category "High" and kinesthetic learning style obtained a percentage of 71% with the category "High". So it can be concluded that students' mathematical problem solving ability on opportunity material based on their learning style is high in almost all indicators of problem solving ability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the conceptual thinking process of seventh-grade junior high school students in solving social arithmetic problems when viewed from mathematical anxiety differences. The type of research was qualitative descriptive which used purposive sampling. There were 34 students of seventh-grade junior high school in West Karawang as the subject of this study. The data was collected through questionnaires about mathematical anxiety, written tests of conceptual thinking processes, interviews, and documentation. The data was analyzed by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicated that The result of this study showed that the majority of grade VII SMP students' mathematical anxiety tended to be moderate. The results of the analysis concluded that students with low mathematical anxiety had good conceptual thinking skills because they were able to fulfill all indicators. However, students with moderate mathematical anxiety had fairly good conceptual thinking skills because there was only one indicator that was not fulfilled, namely correcting answers. Furthermore, students with high mathematical anxiety had poor conceptual thinking skills since they were only able to fulfill two indicators, namely writing down the information they knew and recounting the steps they took.

Abstract

One of the goals of learning mathematics is that students can demonstrate an accurate conceptual understanding of problem solving. The research was conducted at one of the MTs in West Bandung Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the MTs students' understanding of mathematical concepts in fractional material using a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques are conducting written tests, interviews and documentation on class VII students. The written test uses questions that are in accordance with the understanding of mathematical concepts. The characteristics of students' ability to understand mathematical concepts were categorized into 3, namely students who answered correctly (SMT) as many as 5 people (33.3%) on the indicator Presenting models and non-model objects of a concept and expressing concepts in various forms of mathematical descriptions, students who answered incorrectly (SKT) as many as 7 people (46.7%) on the indicator restating objects against a concept and categorizing objects according to their nature according to the concept, and students who did not answer as many as 3 people (20%) on indicators applying a concept or algorithm in problem solving.

Abstract

Mathematical Comprehension Ability is an ability that teaches material not only as memorization but further deepens the understanding of a concept. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. This study aims to determine the criteria for mathematical comprehension ability of students in grade IX junior high school on the material of rank and root form. The subjects of this study were 7 students of Al-Amin Superior Junior High School class IX-B. The data processing techniques used consist of 1) data reduction, 2) presenting data, and 3) drawing conclusions. Data collection in this study was in the form of a written test describing mathematical comprehension skills and interviews with students and teachers. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that students are able to properly solve problems regarding rank and root form with an average score of 71.42 so that the mathematical comprehension ability of students of Al-Amin Superior Junior High School class IX-B is in the good category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether it is able to improve students' critical thinking skills in learning mathematics by using the discovery learning model. This study uses the SLR model or Systematic Literature Review. The stages in this method are planning, review and documentation with data grouping, data analysis and data conclusion. This study obtained results showing that: One alternative teacher in learning mathematics in order to improve students' critical thinking skills is to use the Discovery Learning learning model.

Abstract

Research a This n focuses on the effect of using Google Sites-based teaching materials in improving students' mathematical understanding of data presentation learning materials. The research subjects were taken from 30 class VII students at SMPN 15 Cimahi. Teaching Materials are designed using ICT media based on Google Sites. The results of this study indicate that the use of teaching materials can improve students' mathematical understanding, this is indicated by an increase in the average value of students' mathematical understanding before the use of teaching materials, which is equal to 26,633 and after the use of teaching materials that is equal to82,10. In addition, the results of this study indicate that there is an effect of the use of teaching materials on increasing students' understanding of the material for presenting the data, this is based on the results of the calculation of the t-sample test related to the analysis of paired-sample T-test two-sided test obtained tcount = 19.851 and ttable = 2.04523 for a significant level of 5% with df = 29, where 19.851 ≥ 2.04523.
