Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan indikator kemampuan Algebraic Reasoning dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan Program Linear. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Tujuan pemilihan pendekatan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan hasil penelitian terkait kemampuan Algebraic Reasoning mahasiswa, dan dianalisis lebih lanjut mengenai kesalahan-kesalahan yang dilakukan dalam penyelesaian soal tersebut terkait indikator kemampuan Algebraic Reasoning.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 61,25% mahasiswa belum bisa menggunakan simbol atau variabel untuk mendesain objek dalam hal ini adalah melakukan pemodelan. Sedangkan pada tahap internal, 52,5% mahasiswa sudah dapat melakukan penyelesaian dengan menggunakan operasi aritmatika dan hubungan kesetaraan. Sebesar 82,5% mahasiswa belum mampu melakukan tahapan berpikir aritmatik yaitu menghubungkan sesuatu yang tidak pasti dengan objek dasar aljabar seperti yang tidak diketahui, variabel maupun parameter.

The material for the polyhedron is a primary subject for mathematics that students must learn at the semester VIII junior high school level. However, the reality in the field is that studying the material is still considered difficult by students. Many students have some problems in solving the Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) questions of the material. This research was conducted to examine the factors that cause student errors in answering the HOTS questions on the polyhedron. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with research subjects is the IX grade students of SMP Negeri 02 Cipongkor, with a sample from IX-F students, 11 boys, and 17 girls. The data analysis technique used in this research is to analyze the factors that cause student errors in solving the test questions of the data sharing materials and then calculate the percentage score for each question and interpretation based on Arikunto understanding criteria. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the factors that caused student errors in solving the problem were: 1) Students had difficulty in solving problems at the re-examination stage because students could not prove the truth of the answers they had obtained; 2) lack of accuracy in interpreting problems and writing formulas; 3) lack of understanding of prerequisite material; 4) difficulty in determining the length of the cube and cuboid edges; 5) difficulty in calculating the volume and surface area of a trapezoidal prism.

This article aims to describe the results of the analysis of the difficulties of class X SMK students in Bandung City in solving the question of the sequence and series material. This type of research is a case study. The subjects of this study were 36 students of class X SMK Kencana Bandung. The research instrument consisted of 5 questions in the sequence and series material test. The data analysis technique used is the data collection technique with the documentation method in the form of student test results in sequence and series. The results showed that only question number 4 had the percentage of mastery of the material below 75%, it could be said that some students still had difficulty solving question number 4 which had indicators of evaluating sequence and series. From the results of the analysis, it was concluded that the difficulty of X SMK students in solving the sequence and series problems lies in the indicators of evaluating sequences and series, that is: (1) Students have difficulty applying the formula for the n-syllable of an arithmetic sequence; (2) Students have difficulty identifying important information from artithmetic sequence story questions and (3) Students find it difficult to describe the formula for the n-syllable of arithmetic sequence to get the first syllable.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk melihat peningkatan algebraic reasoning mahasiswa melalui pembelajaran worksheet berbantuan Maple dan menganalisis kategori SRL mahasiswa setelah pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika IKIP Siliwangi dengan pemilihan kelas A1 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan worksheet berbantuan Maple dan kelas A2 sebagai kelas control yang memperoleh pembelajaran biasa. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah Kuasi Eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest design. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen tes untuk mengukur algebraic reasoning ability dan kuesioner skala sikap self-regulated learning untuk mengukur kemampuan self-regulated learning. Pengolahan data menggunakan SPSS untuk menguji kenormalan, uji homogenitas dan uji perbedaan rata-rata pretes dan N-Gain. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) Peningkatan kemampuan algebraic reasoning mahasiswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan worksheet bantuan Maple lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelas yang memperoleh pembelajaran biasa ; dan 2) Self-Regulated learning (SLR) kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol ada pada kategori kuat. AbstractThis study aims to see an increase in students' algebraic reasoning through Maple-assisted worksheet learning and analyze the SRL student category after learning. This research was carried out in the Mathematics Education Study Program IKIP Siliwangi with the selection of class A1 as an experimental class that obtained learning with a Maple-assisted worksheet and class A2 as a control class that gained regular learning. The method in this research is Quasi Experiment with pretest-posttest design. The instrument used in this study was a test instrument to measure algebraic reasoning ability and self-regulated learning attitude scale questionnaire to measure the ability of self-regulated learning. Data processing using SPSS to test normality, homogeneity test and the average difference test of pretest and N-Gain. The conclusions of this study are: 1) Improving the algebraic reasoning ability of students who get learning with Maple help worksheets is better than classes that get regular learning; and 2) Self-Regulated learning (SLR) experimental class and the control class are in the strong category

This is a qualitative descriptive research with 20 students from class X PFPT-A SMKN 1 Cimahi as subjects. The objective is to find out the types of students’ errors when completing problem material functions referring to Newman error categories and their causes. The data analysis obtained from written tests and interviews. The data validity test was carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and data retrieval. The results showed that there were 4 types of errors made by students, namely errors of understanding by 16%, transformation errors by 15%, errors of process skills by 32%, and errors in writing answers by 1%. Moreover, the students’ error caused by several matters, such as the students not get used to the form of stories, unable to interpret the problem as a whole, the lack of practice in solving non-routine problems, and in a hurry when working on the questions.

Calculus is one of the basic subjects that must be mastered by every student of the mathematics education study program, if students cannot understand other mathematics-related courses, students will experience difficulties and will hinder their professionals from becoming good teachers. Because, a teacher must be able to convey information that is important for mathematics to be applied to daily life to students, this encourages students to be motivated to develop mathematics in the future related to technology. In current developments, teachers are trying to make mathematics learning strategies by using teaching aids to improve students 'reasoning abilities, so that students can provide based on students' experiences when doing it, but the biggest obstacle by teachers is the cost that is too large and the time is too long. And as a consideration, making ICT-based media is more effective in overcoming these two factors by developing Javascript geometry.

Pembelajaran matematika di setiap tingkat pendidikan lebih berorientasi pada peningkatan kecerdasan siswa dibanding perkembangan kreativitas siswa. Bagi siswa terkadang hasil belajar lebih penting dibandingkan proses saat mereka belajar. Sehingga, siswa lebih mementingkan nilai daripada ilmu yang mereka dapatkan. Dalam pembelajaran matematika di MTs Negeri Sukasari Cimahi, mengenai materi SPLDV, siswa kelas VIII G merasa kesulitan dalam: 1) memahami informasi pada soal cerita SPLDV, dan 2) mengingat dan mengaplikasikan metode-metode penyelesain pada soal SPLDV. Pendekatan open-ended digunakan sebagai salah satu strategi pembelajaran agar terjadi peningkatan pada kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan 2 siklus dengan setiap siklus terdiri dari 2 pertemuan. Sebelum dimulai tindakan dilakukan tes awal kepada siswa, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan siklus I dan siklus II yang menggunakan pendekatan open-ended. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa terlihat dari ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa yaitu pada hasil tes awal tidak ada siswa yang nilainya melebihi KKM, pada siklus I terjadi peningkatan sebesar 30,6%, pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan sebesar 47,2%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri Sukasari Cimahi dapat ditingkatkan melalui pendekatan open-ended.

This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to analyze the ability of problem solving and mathematical communication through the results of the answers to the descriptions done by students. The instrument used is 6 items about the description of relation and function material. The subjects of this study were 15 grade IX students from various junior high schools in Bandung district. The form of data collection is a study of the results of the answers to student descriptions which are described in accordance with the selected indicators of problem solving abilities and mathematical communication. Based on the results of the analysis of problem solving abilities with indicators identifying elements that are known, asked, and the adequacy of the elements needed by 78%, formulating mathematical problems 68.3%, applying strategies to solve problems 84.7%, interpreting the results of problem solving 61% . While the results of the analysis of mathematical communication indicators explain mathematical ideas, situations, and mathematical relations orally or in writing with real objects diagrams, pictures, graphs and algebra by 78%, stating daily events in mathematical language 60%. Based on the results of the analysis of mathematical problem solving and communication skills, Grade nine junior high school students in Bandung district were classified as moderate.

This research was motivated by the low ability to understand mathematical concepts of algebra students during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to describe the ability to understand the concepts of seventh grade students at MTs An naiim Bandung in learning mathematics in algebraic forms. The method used is descriptive qualitative research, data collection techniques used in this study are through tests, interviews and documentation. The analytical technique used in this study is a qualitative descriptive analysis technique. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion of research, namely the category based on the ability to understand mathematical concepts very high gets a percentage of 4.17%, the high category gets a presentation of 8.33%, the middle category gets a percentage of 25%, the low category gets a percentage of 30.83%, the very low category gets a percentage. the percentage is 33.3%. So it can be concluded from the results of the students' ability to understand mathematical concepts that students' abilities are still very low in algebraic form material.

Article is one of the research results written to analyzeor assess an activity that has a problem. This research is closely related to a problem that occurs in schools with certain materials. The purpose of this study was to analyze the results of the students' mathematical understandingof pythagoras theorem material. Pythagoras material is a subject matter that must be mastered or understood by students with the purpose to add student insightinto the next material. Therefore, this research is very useful in assessing and knowing the extent to which students understand the material. This research was conducted to grade IX students of SMPN 2 Cibeber, the total number of students is 19 people consisting of 8 male students, and 11 female students. The research provided results, that the ability of students are low in terms of understanding the problems given.
