Abstract

The study discusses the teachers’ concept in developing the students’ social characteristics at senior vocational schools (SMK) in Pidie District. The study used field research with qualitative approach, taking place at SMK Negeri 1 Sigli and SMK Mutiara. The subjects of the study included the school principals, administration staff, and teachers of Islamic education. Data were collected by interview and observation. The data were then analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study showed that the students’ social characteristics were developed by encouraging the students to have mutual respect and mutual care, to be confident, to perform good deeds, to interact socially, to remind one another, and to be responsible. These social characteristics were promoted through individual approach, the role of teachers as parents at school, improving communication, giving rewards, sanctions, and punishments, and cooperating with the parents. On the other hand, the problems in developing these characteristics included lack of religious education at home, poor living environment, unhealthy peer relationship, and limited lesson hours of Islamic education at school.

Abstract

This study discusses the roles and strategies implemented by the Postgraduate Islamic Religious Education (PAI) study program at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh in improving its educational quality and analyzing the opportunities and challenges in its implementation. This study is a qualitative approach that collects the data through interviews observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the postgraduate PAI study program at UIN Ar-Raniry has made efforts and set two strategic programs in improving its educational quality. First, external strategic programs include cooperation with other universities, student exchanges, cooperation in research and publication of scientific papers, and the development of assisted villages. Second, internal strengthening programs include involving students in study program activities, providing quality lecturers, having proficient in the technology of study program activities, providing quality academic services for study programs, focusing on carrying out the vision and mission of study programs according to the strategic plan and socializing them to students, improving the quality of learning, implementing admission selection and strict graduation requirements, providing adequate facilities and infrastructure, and carrying out study program activities with reference to the accreditation form.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the decline in morals and the increasingly rare attitude of respect for students to their teachers who are suspected of current public education institutions failing to shape the morals of their students. However, on the other hand, dayah educational institutions are still consistently producing generations of knowledge and noble character, one of which is respect. Furthermore, glorify (ta'dzim) to (parents, teachers, etc.). However, each of the traditional and modern dayahs has its way of instilling the moral values/ta'dzim attitude, and this is because the two have different learning systems/patterns. The purpose of this study was to describe the form of teaching and practice of santri ta'dzim attitudes in traditional and modern dayahs and the similarities and differences between the two. This research was conducted by field study using the descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques in literature study, interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that the teaching/ method of fostering ta'dzim attitudes at the Thalibul Huda and Modern Darul 'Ulum YPUI Banda Aceh schools by using reading books, lectures, advice and guidance methods, while in practice, in both dayahs they had a ta'dzim attitude to the teachers (Tengku/ustadz). or the leader of the dayah in the form of speaking or conveying something politely and courteously. In daily activities, when the teacher explains the lesson or speaks, the students listen and do not argue or show an attitude that does not please the teacher.

Abstract

This study examines the moral values ​​contained in the text of the song Rafly Kande. This research is a qualitative research. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis. The data in this study is the value of moral education in the text of Rafly's song entitled Wasiet Keu Aneuk, Gisa Bak Punca and Jasa Poma. the results obtained in the form of Moral Education Values ​​in Rafli's song lyrics are as follows: (a). In the song Wasieut Keu Aneuk there is the value of moral education towards Allah and the Apostle, then Moral Education towards Parents and Moral Education towards others. (b). Then in the Song of Gisa Bak Punca there are values ​​of moral education to Allah and His Messenger, to oneself, the value of moral education to parents and the value of moral education to the social environment. (c). While in the lyrics of the song Jasa Poma there is only the value of moral education for parents, especially mothers. As for the views of academic figures, musicians, politicians and activists, it is stated that in the lyrics of Rafli's songs there are many values ​​of moral and moral education in them, some of which most often appear are: Moral Education Values ​​to Allah and His Apostle, Values Moral Education to Parents, Moral Education Value to oneself, and Moral Education Value to the social environment (society).

Abstract

Extracurricular activities are learning activities that are held outside of class hours which are arranged with the need for knowledge, development, guidance and habituation of students to have basic supporting knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of character development through religious extracurricular activities and to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors of character development through religious extracurricular activities in Banda Aceh City Senior High School. This research was conducted with a field study using a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews and documentation. From the research conducted by the researcher, the results obtained are that the implementation of character development through religious extracurricular activities held by the Banda Aceh City Senior High School is praying together and reading yasin, zuhur prayer obligatory in congregation, reading and writing program of the Qur'an, activities Islamic holidays, sharing Friday programs. The supporting factors for character development through religious extracurricular activities include support from teachers and school principals as well as enthusiasm from school residents, and adequate facilities and infrastructure, while obstacles in these activities of course exist such as there are still some students who do not take part in these activities and also some facilities. inadequate infrastructure if there are larger activities such as isra' mi'raj and the commemoration of the Prophet's birthday.

Abstract

Abdul Malik Fadjar is one of the leaders of Indonesian education who has provided many services and thoughts in Islamic education and character education. Apart from being the implementer of education, Malik Fadjar is also a policy maker in the field of education. This study aims to examine Abdul Malik Fadjar's thoughts on children's character building, to explore Abdul Malik Fadjar's policies in the field of character building, and to find out strategies for implementing Abdul Malik Fadjar's thoughts in building children's character. This research is a type of library research with data analysis techniques in this study using the method of content analysis (content analysis). The results show that according to Malik's character, there are two dimensions of human life that must be done well, namely the divine dimension (with Islamic values, faith, ihsan and taqwa), and the Human dimension (with the values ​​of friendship, brotherhood, equality and kindness). thought). The method of character building according to Malik is a method of exemplary, habituation and da'wah methods. Malik's thoughts are modernist-religious and according to the flow of educational philosophy, it is included in the convergence flow. The strategy for implementing Malik's character development in character building is to apply additional hours in learning Islamic religious education in schools. The policies that Malik Fadjar has implemented are: integrating religion and other disciplines, revising the CBSA curriculum to become KBK, removing Ebtanas at the SD/MI level and revising the Education System Law to become the National Education System Law.

Abstract

The discussion in this study tries to reveal everything related to women's freedom in doing activities outside the home, but she also has several religious regulations that follow and limit. This articel aims to explain the positive legal views towards Iddah and Ihdad career women, and to explain the Islamic legal views towards Iddah and Ihdad career women. The author uses the library research method or library research. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the stipulation of Iddah and Ihdad laws for women is reasonable, both in terms of religion and in terms of goodness for women. However, several prohibitions for a woman who practices iddah and ihdad can find several reasons to become a law that is appropriate in every era and situation.

Abstract

Hidden curriculum helps manifest the development of students’ religious characters; however, it is often neglected and not used properly in the learning process. The questions posed in this study include: How is the implementation of the hidden curriculum in the development of the religious characters of students? To what extent the hidden curriculum influences the development of the religious characters of students? and What is the impact of the hidden curriculum on the formation of the religious characters of students? This mixed methods study obtained data by means of questionnaire, interview, and observation. The subject of the study had a sample size of 153. The study employed the SPSS ver. 25 to analyze the quantitative data, whereas the qualitative data were presented descriptively. The findings indicate that the hidden curriculum has been applied inside and outside the classroom. The study revealed that the hidden curriculum implemented at Dayah Jeumala Amal and Dayah Al-Furqan reached the medium level of 40% and of 34.78%, respectively and also created students with high religious characters of 51.54% and of 43.48%, respectively. Further, the simple linear regression test obtained the value of 0.00, at the level of significance α = 0.005, indicating that there was an influence of the hidden curriculum on the development of the religious characters of students. The influences of the hidden curriculum in the forms of role model, habituation, coaching, and attitudes from an educator have resulted in the birth of exemplary values ​​that are more long lasting and impactful within the students. In addition, the influences in the social and environmental forms have triggered the establishment of a harmonious relationship with other people and yielded an attitude of concern for the environment in which the students live. Moreover, the implementation of the hidden curriculum in the form of worship carried out in schools has also enabled the development of religious attitudes, including honesty, patience, and trustworthiness, within the students.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the phenomenon of the emergence of various dhikr (remembrance) gatherings that bring together many people who experience spiritual aridity. In Aceh, currently, there is a dhikr gathering that is well known for its work for the community called Rateb Seuribee dhikr. Rateb Seuribee dhikr is one of the dhikr gatherings that is in great demand within the community. In this study, the aim is to delve deeper into Rateb Seuribee dhikr by focusing on the existence of Rateb Seuribee dhikr and character values. The study used descriptive qualitative methods to obtain accurate and reliable data. Data were collected by means of interview and observation. The participants of the study consisted of the leaders, administrators, and the members of Rateb Seuribee dhikr. The results of the study indicated that Rateb Seuribee dhikr appeared to respond to the current condition of society which is experiencing spiritual aridity due to being lulled by worldly desires, leading them to drift away from the Creator. Taking into account such situations, Sheikh H. Amran Waly Al-Khalidi established a dhikr gathering named Rateb Seuribee dhikr. The people are mostly interested in following Rateb Seuribee dhikr in order to get peace of mind, get closer to Allah, improve characters, develop social attitudes towards fellow community members, forge closer ties of friendship between fellow citizens, and increase religious knowledge. In addition, the character values ​​obtained in carrying out Rateb Seuribee dhikr include religious, honest, disciplined, patient, sincere, enthusiastic, respectful, communicative, social care, responsible, and care for the environment.

Abstract

Memorizing the Qur'an is not an easy job. Parents need to be involved in guiding and motivating children to memorize the Qur'an at home, so that children's memorization be increases and strong. Sometimes, parents do not guide children back at home, only leave it to the teacher at school. So that children are less enthusiastic in memorizing the Qur'an. Thus the target of memorization that has been set has not been achieved. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of parents in children's memorization Qur'an education, the motivation of parents to send their children to memorization Qur'an education, and how parents motivate their children to take part in memorization Qur'an education at Integrated Islamic Elementary School Cendekia Darussalam. This type of research is qualitative research using field research methods. The research data were obtained through observation, interviews and documentation analysis techniques, then the data were analyzed using descriptive methods. The results obtained indicate that in the process of memorization Qur'an education for children, parents can act as mentors, managers, motivators and facilitators for children. The motivation of parents to send their children to memorization Qur'an education is so that children become memorizers of the Qur'an, parents get a crown in the hereafter, children who memorize Qur'an can be intermediary for parents to get a crown in Heaven, and add religious knowledge for children and parents. The way parents motivate their children to take part in memorization Qur'an education at Integrated Islamic Elementary School Cendekia Darussalam is to give praise, give gifts, give punishments, and tell stories, and call on children to love Allah and the Prophet. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that if parents do their roles well, children will be encourage, move and direct to memorize the Qur'an, so that learning destination are achieved.
