Abstract

The high birth rate is still a major problem in Indonesia’s population which until now has not been able to be overcome. Injectable contraception is a way to prevent pregnancy through hormonal injections. There are 2 types of injectable birth control, namely 1-month injection and 3-month injection. Weight gain is the highest side effect of injecting contraception which is the body's adjustment to hormonal changes so that the possibility of weight gain occurring does not last long. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in weight gain in 1-month and 3-month injection contraceptive acceptors at the Delta Mutiara Maternity Clinic. The method used quantitative analysis with a cross-sectional design and this research used a quota sampling technique, data processing was carried out in 2 ways, univariate analysis to describe the characteristics of each variable and bivariate analysis using an Independent T Test with an error rate of 5% (0.05). The results showed that the significant value for 1-month injection contraceptive acceptors was p=0.004 (p=>0.05) and 3-month injection contraceptive acceptors obtained a significant value of p=0.000 (p>0.05). There was a significant difference in weight gain in 1-month and 3-month injection contraceptive acceptors at the Delta Mutiara Maternity Clinic.

Abstract

Back pain is one of the problems that pregnant women often experience during the third trimester. If the pain is not treated immediately, it will have serious consequences for the mother. One effort is simple physical therapy using a ball, which is useful for strengthening the abdominal and lower back muscles. It is usually called gymball training. This study aimed to determine how effectively a gym ball reduces back pain felt by pregnant women in the third trimester. This research used a pre-experiment with one pretest-posttest group and a sample of 30 pregnant women in the Singojuruh Public Health Center area. It was conducted from September to October 2023. This study applied simple random sampling techniques to determine the sample and analyse data using the Wilcoxon test. This study revealed that the prevalence of back pain in pregnant women was reduced from 43.3% to 6.7% for pain in the moderate category. Furthermore, 10% of respondents no longer felt back pain after using the gymball. Based on the Wilcoxon signed ranks test results on data before and after testing, a p-value of 0.000 was obtained, which shows that using a gym ball effectively treats back pain in pregnant women in the third trimester. The use of a gym ball can be used as a complementary care alternative to relieve pregnant women's back pain during pregnancy, especially in the third trimester. It is hoped that this gymball can be implemented in health facilities in classes for pregnant women.

Abstract

One of the nutritional problems experienced by Indonesian people is stunting. Stunting is a severe nutritional problem where the impact of stunting can occur in the short term or long term. The consequences of stunting can increase morbidity and mortality during infancy, and lower psychological cognitive function during school years. One real community-based effort that can be made to accelerate overcoming the problem of stunting is by implementing nutritional interventions through a food diversification program from mackerel in the form of nuggets. This research aims to analyze the effect of consuming mackerel nuggets on changes in the anthropometric status of stunted toddlers at the Rembang Community Health Center. This research uses a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-post-test design. The samples in this study were some stunted toddlers in the work area of the Rembang Health Center, Pasuruan Regency from October 2023 to December 2023 who met the research criteria, consisting of 30 respondents. The sampling technique used is probability sampling with simple random sampling. The data analysis test was carried out using the Wilcoxon sign rank test From the results of the research data analysis, it can be concluded that there is an influence of consumption of mackerel nuggets on changes in the anthropometric status of stunted toddlers with an Asymp Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < significance α (0.05) The use of mackerel fish processed in the form of nuggets can be used as an alternative in providing complementary food to stunted toddlers. Food diversification is the key to success in increasing the appetite of stunted toddlers, whereby by increasing the appetite experienced by toddlers, the problem of stunting will be easier to solve. Abstract

Roy's adaptation model is designed to form an interrelated cycle consisting of input (stimulus), control process (coping mechanism), and output (response or behavior). The purpose of this study was to reduce academic anxiety in nursing students in facing midwifery clinical practice using Roy's model. The research design used a quasi experiment with a population of undergraduate nursing students with a sample size of 100 students. This study analyzed data using the T-test. From the demographic results, it was found that out of 100 respondents aged 20 years as many as 28 (28%), 58 (58%) men, 88 (54.2%) women. The results of data analysis using Shapiro Wilk obtained a probability value of 0.710> 0.05 so it can be concluded that the data is normally distributed. The mean ± SD value of the Academic Anxiety variable before the application of the Roy Adaptation Model is 43.99 ± 5. The mean ± SD value of the Academic Anxiety variable after the application of the Roy Adaptation Model is 192, while after the application of the Roy Adaptation Model is 45.59 ± 5.888. The results of the Paired Sample Statistics T-Test test obtained a value of 4.222 and a p value = 0.001 <0.05, thus the alternative hypothesis is accepted. For future researchers, it is expected to use stronger experimental designs such as randomized controlled experiments, conduct long-term measurements, analyze more complex data, include additional variables such as moderation or mediation and develop academic anxiety instruments.

Abstract

Adolescence is a stage of potential and vulnerable psychological development, known as the phase of searching for identity, because in this phase they can no longer be said to be children but also cannot be said to be adults, and also in this phase teenagers are not yet able to master and maximize physical and psychological functions. This research is a quantitative research using a quasi-experimental method with a two group pre-test post-test design. The population of this study were all class IX students of Mojoanyar Middle School with a sample of 90 respondents who were divided into intervention groups and control groups and the sampling method used purposive sampling. From this research, it was found that there was an increase in health education knowledge using the health belief model (HBM) approach in the intervention group and control group. This Health Belief model (HBM) uses several indicators, namely, vulnerability, seriousness, benefits, obstacles and self-confidence. The results of the p value in this research are about increasing adolescent reproductive knowledge regarding vulnerability (p=0.000), seriousness (p=0.000), benefits (p= 0.000), obstacles (p= 0.000), and self-confidence (p= 0.000).  Thus, it was found that there was an increase in adolescent reproductive health knowledge through health education using the health belief model (HBM) approach.
