Abstract

AbstractDoodle is an activity that anyone can do it. This scribbling/doodling activity is often referred to as doodle. Lots of people who knowingly or unknowingly ever made a doodle. Doodle can be a beautiful work of art? and bring the benefits to those who diligently it. But there is a problem for the doodle maker, it?s the artwork that usually does not have character. That's because lack of information and knowledge about Doodle. Books about doodles are widely circulating in the market, but the problem is the Information & Knowlegde of Doodle Books stiil not available yet. Kegiatan mencoret ini sering disebut juga dengan ?doodle?. Banyak sekali orang yang secara sadar ataupun tidak pernah membuat doodle. Doodle dapat menjadi sebuah bentuk karya seni yang indah dan mendatangkan keuntungan bagi yang menekuninya. Tetapi ada problema yang sebenarnya terdapat pada pembuat doodle yaitu karya yang biasanya tidak memiliki karakter, hal ini dikarenakan kurangnya informasi dan pengetahuan tentang doodle. Abstract

Indonesia has a range of distinctive cultures, one of which in the field of culinary. Culture can be preserved if it continues to be inherited from generation to generation, however the development of lifestyle and technology can lead to culture is threatened to be maintained. So, a design in culinary-themed board game from South Sumatra is made for that situation. This board game is aiming to introduce the typical food from South Sumatra in interesting ways as well as fun. In addition, this board game can help parents and teachers educate the children, also giving the value of cognitive, social, and positive emotions for children. Key words: Children, Board Game, Culinary, South Sumatera.

Abstract

AbstractIn the scientific field of visual communication design, the logo is one of the most frequently made designs and has a good market share. Along with the times, designing a logo work has undergone various forms and forms of transitions. The design process has also undergone innovation from various aspects ranging from concepts to the final results. The amount of market demand for a good logo makes the logo designers try to maximize the logo making process to match the expected results. One form of the logo-making process is by applying the golden ratio as a benchmark in determining the proportion and order of a harmonious and regular form to produce an aesthetic visual form. Understanding of the golden ratio is needed as a guide for graphic designers to be able to create a design work that has a basis for structured patterns and arrangements.Keywords : Logo, Graphic Design, Visual Communication Design, Golden Ratio, DKV AbstrakDalam bidang  desain komunikasi visual, logo merupakan salah satu karya desain yang paling sering dibuat dan memiliki pangsa pasar yang baik. Seiring dengan perkembangan jaman, perancangan sebuah karya logo telah mengalami berbagai macam transisi bentuk dan rupa. Proses perancangannya pun telah mengalami inovasi dari berbagai aspek mulai dari konsep hingga hasil akhirnya. Banyaknya permintaan pasar akan logo yang baik membuat para perancang logo berusaha memaksimalkan proses pembuatan logo agar sesuai dengan hasil yang diharapkan. Salah satu bentuk proses pembuatan logo adalah dengan cara mengaplikasikan golden ratio sebagai patokan dalam menentukan proporsi dan tatanan bentuk yang harmonis dan teratur untuk menghasilkan bentuk visual yang estetis. Abstract

This research tittle is the Form And Strucuture Of Presentation Of Music In Process Kulintang Procession Komering Interest In Traditional Wedding In Oku East. Kulintang music is means of a tribal society of komering in marriage. That staging in customery marriage are parade process, milur dance, giving the customery law, and sada sabai dance. But in its development nowadays the existence of kulintang music is declining in customery marriage.Based on the fact, this research aims to reveal the factors that affect the existence of kulintang music in East OKU. Besides, this research to do the description of analysis form and structure of kulintang music in every stage of the komering family marriage. Analysis includes the elements of musical the form and structure of the prersensation of kulintang music. The technique of collecting data to do with an observation, interviews, study says and documents. For analysis then used the method of analysis form and structure of music. In addition to the existence and the dynamics of the music kulintang not justbe descriptive, then this research will borrow the concepts of culture, music, and social community to have a perspective that is analytical. The study conclude that the cause of the decrease existence of the kulintang music in east OKU is because the disappearance of clan system in 1979. Clans system that change into district made there was no more loyality to the customery marriage process that use kulintang music. Internal and external factor are also influence thing to the existence of kulintang music. That internal and external factor consist of management, less of capability to play kulintang, motivation, finance, government role, and influence goreign culture. Keywords: kulintang; customery marriage; dynamics; form and structure music

Abstract

ABSTRACTIkan Sati is a grouping of a prose of the people (legend) contained in the Sungai Janiah. The existence of the legend story Ikan Sati has an important role in society, formerly the story is considered as something unseen and sacred, but now the community and the government work together to utilize the story of legend Ikan Sati is to serve as a tourist destination. The community is consciously aware of the transformation of the legend story of the Ikan Sati, including changes in values, functions, and changes in the shape / structure of the existence of the legend. Background of the transformation of the legend of the Ikan Sati, inspired workers created a work of the composition of descriptive music by collaborating the instrument of convention (orchestra) with traditional instruments. In the use of motive processing techniques using conventional techniques (such as: repetition, sequence, imitation, augmentation, and diminuisi), and wearing a modern harmony. Creation methods undertaken in the realization of this work of art are carried out with several work groupings: Concept Development Method (Observation, Interview, Data Collection, and Concept Formulation); and Conceptualizing Methods (Exploration, Experimentation, and Applications). In the depiction of the transformation of the legend, the work of this musical composition is made in three parts, each titled: Ikek Janji, Salisiah (value transformation, and function), and Inok-an (transformation of form and structure). Furthermore, the work of this composition is presented in the hope of raising awareness of the existence of an oral culture contained in the community, in this case the story of the legend of Ikan Sati Sungai Janiah itself, and as a preservation (revitalization) of local artistic traditions.Keywords : Ikan sati, Transformation, Legend, Programe Music CompositionABSTRAKIkan Sati merupakan sebuah pengelompokan sebuah prosa rakyat (legenda) yang terdapat di Sungai Janiah. Cerita legenda ini dianggap masyarakat benar-benar terjadi pada dahulunya dan diturunkan secara turun-temurun di dalam masyarakat Sungai Janiah. Masyarakat secara sadar menyadari perubahan (transformasi) terhadap cerita legenda Ikan Sati tersebut, perubahan tersebut meliputi perubahan nilai, fungsi, dan perubahan bentuk/struktur terhadap keberadaan cerita legenda. Berlatar belakang dari perubahan (transformasi) terhadap cerita legenda Ikan Sati, pengkarya terinspirasi menciptakan sebuah karya komposisi musik programa/suasana (descriptive) dengan mengkolaborasikan instrumen konvensi (orkestra) dengan instrumen tradisi. Dalam penggunaan teknik pengolahan motif memakai teknik konvensional (seperti: repetisi, sekuen, imitasi, augmentasi, dan diminuisi), serta memakai garapan harmoni modern. Metode penciptaan yang dilakukan dalam perwujudan karya seni ini dilakukan dengan beberapa pengelompokan kerja: Metode Pengembangan Konsep (Observasi, Wawancara, Pengumpulan Data, dan Perumusan Konsep); dan Metode Mewujudkan Konsep (Eksplorasi, Eksperimentasi, dan Aplikasi). Dalam penggambaran transformasi terhadap cerita legenda, karya komposisi musik ini dibuat dalam bentuk tiga bagian, yang masing-masing diberi judul: Ikek Janji, Salisiah (transformasi nilai, dan fungsi), dan Inok-an (transformasi bentuk, dan struktur). Selanjutnya karya komposisi ini disajikan dengan harapan menimbulkan kesadaran terhadap keberadaan sebuah kebudayaan lisan yang terdapat di masyarakat, dalam hal ini cerita legenda Ikan Sati di Sungai Janiah itu sendiri, dan sebagai pelestarian (revitalisasi) terhadap kesenian tradisi lokal.Kata kunci : Ikan sati, Transformasi, Legenda, Komposisi Musik Programa

Abstract

This article is about the form and function of Bumiayu III temple located in Muaraenim regency of South Sumatera Province. This study aims to develop and provide insight and information to the general public both artists, culturalists, art lovers, lovers of local culture and culture of the archipelago, who should know about the form and function of Bumiayu III temple.In cultural studies of the archipelago, the study of the existence of Bumiayu III temple is rare in South Sumatra.Therefore, the existence of decoration in the temple of Bumiayu III here is described briefly and presented qualitatively interactively with the Aesthetic Nusantara approach.Research method that is various relevant data can be used in supporting the continuity of research.Data collection starts from the study of observation, documentation, interview and literature study. From result of analysis to form and function of decoration of Bumiayu III temple ie; The explanation of the background of Bumiayu III temple, the purpose, the origin of the history of the temple Bumiayu III, continued the exposition of the function of the temple ornament consists of personal functions, social functions, and physical functions, in addition described also about the form of temple decoration ; motifs of plants (flora), animal motifs (fauna), and human motives (figures of deity) at Bumiayu III temple located in Muaraenim regency of South Sumatra Province.Keywords: shape, function of decoration of temple Bumiayu III

Abstract

Logically naturally social function is the usefulness of a thing for the life of a society and a culture of creativity, taste and human initiative in meeting their needs are complex. Wholly includes knowledge belief, art, customary law, every conversation and habits. In my opinion is one of the traditional arts community culture that has existed and evolved from the first until now, traditional arts became one of the community needs either a primary or secondary. Stringed musical ensamble became the pride of the people of Riau did have game concept and distinctive musical compositions typified the spirit that is rooted in the life of the people of Riau. When talking about the use of music, of course we are referring to the way the music is used or to what is usually the music, either from the instrument itself or its relationship with various other community activities. The social function of music in society with symbols sing a song on someone’s lover, used in this way and other functions globally to pray to a god or singing call (capture) animal. Music used in the right situation and the situation was becoming part of the culture but can have a profound function or may not have a function.Keywords : social function, a stringed instrument ensemble Riau.

Abstract

The art of craft in Balaputra Dewa Museum of South Sumatra is basically a reflection of the cultural values of past societies, where it contains historical, social and aesthetic values. Each of the handicraft products in the museum of Bala Putra Dewa has its own uniqueness, both in terms of engineering workmanship, materials used, and its function in the life of the community supporters. The objectives of the research are: (1) to know and understand the form and function of art of work that exist in Balaputra Dewa Museum, (2) as a medium for study and appreciation in the context of art of craft (art of craft) and culture, (3) insight and art course subject matter and design, (4) as an effort to be developed to the stage of further research. The method used is observation made through direct observation of art craft products that exist in the museum Balaputradewa Palembang. The observations made on art craft products are the types of crafts, shapes, functions and materials used. Abstract

Traditional transportation of Palembang is now being replaced by modern transportation so the traditional transportation of Palembang has been forgotten by people. As the successor generation, we have to keep the traditions and the local cultures by still using traditional transportation which is currently still to be found. But in fact, some people have started to forget the traditional transportation, and haven’t introduced the traditional transportation to their children. Therefore, it was designed an appropriate educational media for early childhood, that is a pop-up book that can stimulate the curiosity of the children and also train the child's imagination. Pop-up book themed traditional transportation of Palembang is as an educational media for the children by introducing traditional transportation of Palembang and is as one of the effort to preserve the tradition of using traditional transportation of Palembang.

Abstract

AbstractThis paper discusses the rituals that are in use by the people of Nagari village Taeh Baruah Kab. Limo Puluah Payokumbuah City, located in the middle of the middle-island of Sumatera in West Sumatera Province. Payokumbuah has a variety of ritual art and the nature of entertainment, some of the art itself is sampelong, kucapi sijobang, talempong sambilu, talempong batu, talempong gondang oguang, randai, dance and others. Of the many arts that exist in Payokumbuah and in Kab. 50 City, there is a unique activity where its main function is as a magical ritual of witchcraft, the ritual of basirompak. The ritual of basirompak has a uniqueness in which a ritual possesses an artistic element of some ritual sequence itself. The artistic element contained in the ritual itself has a wind instrument, commonly called as saluang sirompak. Saluang sirompak serves as a herd of charms that have a rhythm like a dendang.Keywords : Saluang Sirompak, Culture, Sirompak FunctionAbstrakTulisan ini membahas tentang ritual yang bersifat guna-guna yang di lakukan oleh masyarakat Nagari Taeh Baruah Kab. Payokumbuah memiliki berbagai kesenian yang bersifat ritual maupun yang sifatnya hiburan rakyat, beberapa dari kesenian itu sendiri yaitu sampelong, kucapi sijobang, talempong sambilu, talempong batu, talempong gondang oguang, randai, tarian dan lainya, dari banyaknya kesenian yang ada di Payokumbuah maupun di Kab. 50 Kota, terdapat sebuah kegiatan yang unik di mana fungsi utamanya adalah sebagai sebuah ritual magis guna-guna, yaitu ritual basirompak. Ritual basirompak memiliki sebuah keunikan dimana sebuah ritual yang memliki unsur seni dari beberapa rangkaian ritual itu sendiri. Unsur kesenian yang terdapat di dalam ritual itu sendiri memiliki sebuah instrumen musik tiup, yang biasa di sebut dengan sebutan saluang sirompak. Saluang sirompak berfungsi sebagai penggiring dari jampi-jampi yang memiliki irama seperti dendang.Kata kunci : Saluang Sirompak, Budaya, Fungsi Sirompak
