Getting the right items to the right place at the right time under the appropriate conditions is the goal of logistics, which will benefit the business. Businesses took a while to understand how crucial logistics were to gaining a competitive edge over rivals. The research was conducted in nickel processing companies in the eastern part of Indonesia, specifically in Sulawesi, involving 2 (two) companies in the Konawe region, Southeast Sulawesi, and 1 (one) company in the North Morowali region, Central Sulawesi which have obtained bonded zone facilities from Customs. The research involves 100 respondents, consisting of employees and managers responsible for the supply chain and directly involved in logistic activities. The type of research is quantitative with a survey approach. Data is collected through instruments in the form of statement sheets with a Likert scale model that has been tested. Data analysis was carried out using multiple regression using SmartPLS. The results of the analysis show: (1) Customs and Excise have a significant positive effect on competitive advantage; (2) Infrastructure has a significant positive effect on competitive advantage; (3) International shipping has a significant positive effect on competitive advantage; (4) Service Quality has a significant positive effect on competitive advantage; (5) Search Tracking has a significant positive effect on competitive advantage; (6) Timeliness has a significant positive effect on competitive advantage. This implies that the existing organizational culture at BCA Bank does not always lead to high employee performance; to ensure that organizational culture improves employee performance, it must enhance employee satisfaction. Work discipline can directly and indirectly influence performance through job satisfaction; employees with high work discipline tend to have high performance, especially if their discipline also enhances their job satisfaction.

Abstract

The era of digitalization has brought significant changes to market dynamics, with consumers shifting towards edible consumer goods, especially healthier foods. In Indonesia, the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) industry is experiencing rapid growth, driven by increasing consumer purchasing power, a large and diverse population, low product penetration, and rising health awareness. Cashew nuts have become one of the promising FMCG products due to their diverse nutritional value and benefits. Renjana Cashew was established as part of an entrepreneurship program at Ciputra University since 2021. Renjana products are roasted protein cashew nut snacks from Surabaya, featuring large-sized nuts, a crunchy texture, and unique flavors, making them suitable for everyday activities. This study aims to determine the effect of product quality, event marketing, and word of mouth on repurchase intention mediated by purchase decision. The research method used is quantitative descriptive confirmatory, with probability sampling technique using a simple random sampling approach. The sample size of this study is 318 respondents, who are customers of Renjana Cashew and have previously purchased the products. Data collection techniques involve using questionnaires and analysis with PLS-SEM. The results of the study indicate that product quality, event marketing, and word of mouth have a positive and significant effect on repurchase intention through purchase decision.

Abstract

In Indonesia, swamplands are spread across several regions, one of which is Palembang City, which has the highest level of drug abuse cases among districts/cities in South Sumatra Province. In order to tackle this problem, a special approach is needed that takes into account the geographical and socio-economic conditions in swamplands. This study aims to analyze drug abuse prevention programs in Palembang City and develop an effective drug abuse prevention model in particular swamplands. This research used qualitative methods with triangulation techniques to gain an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of the drug abuse program in Palembang City's swamplands. Informants in this study included three groups: drug abusers, stakeholders, and the community. A drug abuse prevention model in swampland must take into account the unique conditions of the area, such as limited accessibility and possibly low levels of community welfare. Effective approaches include improving access to education and health services, economic empowerment through local programs, and active community involvement in prevention efforts. In addition, these strategies need to be tailored to the demographic and socioeconomic characteristics of the local population to ensure the success and sustainability of prevention programs.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has transformed business models and created new value for customers and restaurant owners. One of the challenges faced in the restaurant industry is related to queues and reservations. This research aims to investigate business design strategies that can be used by startups in the restaurant industry. In this study, two main approaches are used: lean startup and service design. Qualitative methods in the form of interviews and testing were conducted on restaurant managers and visitors in the city of Kediri with respondents from the millennial and Generation Z demographics. During the data collection phase, a comparison of existing reservation applications was carried out. It was found that reservation services are limited to large cities, presenting an opportunity and business potential for new startups. Interviews were also conducted to validate the queue problem experienced by both restaurant visitors and managers. The results showed that 91% of respondents stated that the queue problem is valid and important to resolve. Based on this data, the author attempts to outline a new startup business idea and reservation application as a solution using a lean canvas. The lean startup approach used in this research focuses on accelerating the creation of a minimum viable product (MVP) in the form of the reservation application Eat-Eat. The service design approach, through a service blueprint, was used to observe the business processes and interactions of the related stakeholders. The combination of these two methods complements each other and makes the offered MVP more aligned with customer needs and preferences. A mockup prototype of the Eat-Eat reservation application was created using Figma software and tested on 11 respondents to assess its usability. Using the system usability scale (SUS) method, an average final score of 88 was obtained, compared to the standard average SUS score of 68 set by Jeff Sauro. This means that the Eat-Eat reservation application prototype is acceptable and feasible to use. During interviews and testing, the author received a lot of positive feedback for the development and improvement of the application. In the final stage, the prototype, which has been refined through an iterative process and deemed feasible, will become the final application ready for launch. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide valuable insights for startup founders and co-founders to develop more effective business design strategies, creating more innovative, relevant, and sustainable products and services.
