Abstract

Simalungun District Culture and Tourism Office is a government agency whose activities include paying attention to tourism spots, especially Muslim tourists, namely in terms of finding halal places to eat or culinary in Parapat City. The haversine formula algorithm is one of the algorithms in a geographic information system that is able to calculate the shortest distance from the initial location to the destination location. By implementing the haversine formula algorithm in a geographic information system, it can be used to search for the nearest halal food location in Parapat City from the user's location. This research aims to be able to assist the community in finding the nearest halal food location in Parapat City and it is hoped that the Simalungun Regency Culture and Tourism Office can also provide location data for halal food that is integrated with a mobile-based geographic information system.

Abstract

PT Astra Daihatsu SM. Raja, a branch of PT. Astra International, Tbk operating in SM. Raja Medan, faces issues with the manual process of estimating time and cost for body repair services. This study aims to design and develop an estimation information system by applying the Monte Carlo method for the estimation calculations. The system is Android-based and can be accessed via smart devices. It is designed for employees to calculate estimates by inputting vehicle and repair data, after which the system automatically displays the estimated time and cost for repairs. By utilizing the waterfall development method and programming languages such as Java and PHP, this research successfully developed a system that provides more accurate and efficient repair estimates. The results of this study are expected to improve transparency and efficiency in the vehicle repair process at PT. Astra Daihatsu SM. Raja.

Abstract

Penurunan kualitas udara di Indonesia akibat penggunaan bahan bakar fosil menyebabkan tingginya konsentrasi PM2.5, yang berisiko bagi kesehatan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode machine learning untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kualitas udara terhadap kesehatan serta memprediksi paparan PM2.5 dan biaya kesejahteraan akibat kematian dini karena polusi udara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan CRISP-DM yang meliputi pengumpulan, pemahaman, dan persiapan data, pemodelan, evaluasi, serta penerapan. Data diambil dari OECD periode 1994–2022. Hasil analisis menunjukkan peramalan paparan PM2.5 diproyeksikan meningkat dalam 8 tahun mendatang, memicu peningkatan biaya kesejahteraan akibat dampak kesehatan yang dapat menyebabkan gangguan pernapasan dan kematian dini. Model ARIMA digunakan untuk memprediksi paparan PM2.5, sedangkan ARIMAX+ETS memprediksi biaya kesejahteraan, dengan peningkatan akurasi setelah hyperparameter tuning. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, direkomendasikan kebijakan seperti penerapan teknologi ramah lingkungan, transisi energi bersih, pengelolaan limbah, dan pembangunan kota hijau sehingga diharapkan dapat mengurangi polusi udara dan menekan biaya kesejahteraan di masa depan.

Abstract

Pujangga Pasar Kemis Vocational School is currently facing challenges in the tuition payment process which is still done manually, causing service delays, data security risks, as well as the possibility of data loss and errors in making reports. Difficulty in tracking payment data if the SPP payment card is lost is also a problem. To increase administrative efficiency, maintain data security, transparency, and provide better services, it is necessary to develop a technology-based tuition payment information system. The author collects information through observations and interviews with stakeholders to design an effective and structured tuition payment system. The PIECES system analysis method and system design using UML (Unified Modeling Language) are used to describe the design of this system. This system will be developed using the PHP programming language and MySQL database, with the help of XAMPP tools for data storage and management.

Abstract

Retail companies are one form of business that has experienced significant development. Significant development can lead to many business competitors in the same field. Therefore, every company must be able to find strategies to get the attention of the target market. Fast service and good prices are included in the factors that influence customer interest in making transactions in the retail business. This research aims to classify products into several categories. The method used to perform segmentation is the data mining method with the K-Means algorithm and the elbow method to find the optimal number of clusters. The obtained results of many optimal clusters are 3, namely cluster 0, cluster 1, and cluster 2. The variable that has the most influence on cluster characteristics is the price variable, while the variable that has little influence on cluster characteristics is the quantity variable.

Abstract

Auto2000 BP Sunter is one of the companies in the automotive sector. Its attendance system still uses cards to record the daily presence of its workers. Based on these, an information system for managing the presence of workers is developed. This information system uses using android-based GPS Camera, that records the presence of workers, easily finding historical data to be assessed, evaluated, or analyzed. The developing system method used in this writing is the Waterfall method, with Javascript as the tool for programming with react-native framework, and Firebase as the tool for managing the database. In modeling the system, a diversity of diagrams in UML is used. ERD is also used for designing the database. With this Android-based GPS camera for presence information system, Auto2000 BP Sunter has been made easy to manage their data of employee attendance.

Abstract

A start-up company in the fitness and health sector has developed an innovative virtual training platform. The platform allows users to take live fitness classes via their computer, tablet or smartphone, leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and high-quality video streaming for an interactive and personalized training experience. The platform consists of three main components: the frontend layer (web and mobile applications), the backend layer (application servers), and the data storage layer (cloud database). As the popularity of these platforms increases, companies face challenges in managing on-premises resources, ensuring data security, and complying with strict data protection regulations. This research aims to design a comprehensive cyber security strategy by utilizing Microsoft Azure services to overcome these challenges. This strategy includes identity and access management, data encryption, threat detection and response, and regulatory compliance.

Abstract

Abstract A sluice gate is a supporting structure in a dam, reservoir, river, gutter or ditch which functions to regulate the control of water discharge in each flow. With good and controlled irrigation, irrigation systems and waterways from upstream to downstream can be controlled, so that the need for water in agriculture, fisheries, plantations, and industry can be met and relied on properly. The sluice gate functions to control water so that it can prevent flood water in a fast and high flow. The flowing water will lead to the river to the ocean. Therefore the author will design a prototype of an Internet of Things (IoT) based automatic sluice monitoring system. this system requires interrelated components, namely NodeMcu as the control center of the system as well as a wifi module and the relay module as an electrical switch to turn on or off and use the blynk application.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a School Facilities Information System (SISAPRAS) using the Scrum methodology to enhance the efficiency of school facilities management. The Scrum method was chosen for its ability to manage the development process iteratively and collaboratively, involving daily scrum meetings, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives to monitor and adjust team tasks. Blackbox testing was applied to ensure that features like login, dashboard, profile accounts, item reports, and CRUD functions met user requirements. The results indicate that implementing the Scrum methodology in developing SISAPRAS improves efficiency, quality, and timeliness in task completion, as well as allows for quick adaptation to changes and user needs. Consequently, the resulting system effectively provides solutions for managing school facilities.
