Abstract

MS Engineering is a company engaged in the field engineering, which is producing belt cleaners for cleaning conveyor belts in mining areas, the cement industry and the power plant. In the belt cleaner, has several parts assembled into one, including metal parts and urethane blade parts. PT MS Engineering has low forecasting accuracy, causing excess stock, especially for parts of urethane blade that have expired. The company only sees based on historical data. Therefore, to overcome these problems, it is necessary to forecast demand with the appropriate method. In this study by comparing several forecasting methods to find the highest error rate. The methods to be used include Single Moving Average, Exponential Smoothing and Weighted Moving Averages. From the discussion and analysis of the three calculation methods above, it is known that the calculation results with the 4 monthly Single Moving Average methods are better and more suitable to be applied by PT. MS Engineering in predicting the needs of Urethane Blade in January 2020, because the method has a lower error rate than the method other. The forecast error rate, MAD (Mean Absolute Deviation) of 58,906 and MSE (Mean Square Error) of 4484.57 with forecast results for January 2020 of 292.5 pcs.

Abstract

High competition in the global wheel market demands is triggering the companies who are produced to improve their process to be able to offer the best wheels quality. Process monitoring charts are employed for improving the process capability index of the process, some industries set a Cp value greater than 1.33 in assessing their process capability. The aims of this research is to reduce the number of defects in the casting process using the Define Measure Analyze Improve Control (DMAIC) method. It shows the systematic way to find out the major problem root cause at the aluminum castings by using the defect diagnostic approaches and also cause and effect diagram. Other quality tools are used such as the Fishbone diagram and Pareto diagram. These tools identified the major defects for the rejections during production were identified are leaking, porosity hole motive, and oval. In determining the proposed quality improvements using the FMEA tool. The results of data processing on the calculation of process capabilities and product performance show improvements after quality improvements in the casting process.product performance was increased from Cp = 0.81 to Cp = 1.4, sigma level = 2.9 to sigma level = 4.0. The impact for the company is the defect rate was going down and finally it created the production costs saving by IDR 417,550,000 a month. Therefore, the application of the DMAIC method can provide a significant improvement in product quality and giving an impact on production cost savings

Abstract

Pengukuran kinerja merupakan cara untuk menilai kinerja karyawan sebagai hasil kerja yang dapat dicapai oleh seseorang atau kelompok orang pada suatu organisasi atau perusahaan, sesuai dengan wewenang dan tanggung jawab masing-masing dalam rangka mencapai tujuan organisasi atau perusahaan secara legal, bermoral dan beretika. Kinerja yang telah di tentukan dengan terukur secara objektif akan menjadikan seluruh karyawan dapat berpacu untuk terus meningkatkan kwalitas kinerja sehingga dapat membentuk lingkungan kerja yang baik antara karyawan dan perusahaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan evaluasi pada penerapan aplikasi Pro-Int yang telah dilakukan pada sebuah perusahaan telekomunikasi. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara responden dari karyawan perusahaan telekomunikasi. Berdasarkan data dari wawancara tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengukuran kinerja karyawan dengan aplikasi Pro-Int dapat meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Ada pengaruh yang sangat signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan di lingkungan departemen HRD karena sistem pelaporan yang sangat rapi dan detail. Pengembangan diri karyawan dengan coaching dan feedback secara berkesinambungan yang dilakukan oleh atasan dan bawahan dapat membantu keberhasilan pencapaian target yang sudah ditentukan.

Abstract

Citra Sundari Hospital as the organizer of health efforts has the responsibility to provide health services to the entire community. Therefore, improving the quality of service is needed in an effort to attract patients to seek treatment at Citra Sundari Hospital. This research was conducted to determine the level of consumer satisfaction with hospital services and to find out what attributes are the main priority in improving service quality to improve service quality at Citra Sundari Hospital, by distributing closed questionnaires and calculating using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method. and the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method. From the calculation results of the Importance and Performance Analysis (IPA) method, the suitability level value is 100.43% and in the Cartesian diagram of 30 attributes there are 14 attributes that express service satisfaction at Citra Sundari Hospital, namely attribute numbers 1,3,4,6,7 , 10, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20. The results of the calculation of the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method for Citra Sundari Hospital obtained a score of 92.17%, showing that Citra Sundari Hospital customers felt "Very Satisfied", so it could be said that the performance of Citra Sundari Hospital is very good and meets patient satisfaction with hospital services.

Abstract

The present work is a review of literature, to identify the improvements acquired from the application of the Six Sigma methodology in manufacturing and services industries in Indonesia. This systematic review intends to identify how manufacturing research is contributing to the development of the Industry in Indonesia agenda and for a broader understanding about the links between the manufacturing and services sectors.  This systematic review intends to identify by mapping and  summarizing existing research efforts, identifying research agendas, as well as gaps and opportunities for research development. The papers were selected base on relevant articles to the topic of work, and the bibliographic databases used for the research were the Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, ResearchGate, etc. The study counted on 50 articles to better exemplify these points, being 36 focused on the manufacturing sector and 14 on the services sector. In both sectors the variability of the process, improving process quality, productivity, efficiency, the service provided, increasing customer satisfaction, reducing costs, timeliness. It has been found that Six Sigma is a versatile tool that can be adapted and applied in any segment, allowing potential opportunities for new research and applications. Basic tools for brainstorming such as Pareto analysis and cause-effect analysis are definitely used in both industries: manufacturing and service.

Abstract

A good work environment is a key factor in fostering a positive work culture in the construction industry. According to a study conducted by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), approximately 45% of construction workers feel that an uncomfortable work environment contributes to their low productivity (PUPR, 2022). Unsafe work environments, such as lack of protection from extreme weather and inadequate health facilities, can lead to stress and dissatisfaction among workers. For example, a building construction project in Jakarta carried out by PT XYZ experienced delays because workers lacked adequate access to rest areas and proper sanitation. This demonstrates that investing in good facilities can improve worker comfort and productivity. Training and skills development also play a crucial role in fostering a work culture. Data from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) shows that only 30% of construction workers receive adequate training in their field (BNSP, 2023). Lack of training can lead to workers feeling insecure in carrying out their tasks, which in turn can reduce productivity. For example, a building renovation project in Surabaya experienced numerous technical errors due to workers lacking sufficient skills in using heavy equipment. Therefore, construction companies need to invest in ongoing training programs to improve workers' skills and knowledge.

Abstract

Penerapan konsep green energy dalam arsitektur modern menjadi kebutuhan mendesak untuk menjawab tantangan krisis energi dan perubahan iklim. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis implementasi perancangan green energy pada desain bangunan berkelanjutan, dengan studi kasus pada Banten International Stadium (BIS). Pendekatan yang digunakan bersifat deskriptif-kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur, observasi lapangan, dan wawancara kepada pihak terkait. Fokus kajian mencakup efisiensi energi, pemanfaatan energi terbarukan (seperti panel surya), pengelolaan air, ventilasi alami, serta pemilihan material ramah lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa BIS telah mengadopsi beberapa prinsip desain berkelanjutan, seperti pencahayaan alami, sistem sirkulasi udara pasif, dan potensi integrasi sistem energi surya. Namun demikian, implementasinya masih memerlukan optimalisasi dalam aspek manajemen energi dan keberlanjutan operasional. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan strategi green energy pada tahap perencanaan dan operasional bangunan untuk mencapai target efisiensi energi dan mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan di Provinsi Banten.

Abstract

Abstract A sluice gate is a supporting structure in a dam, reservoir, river, gutter or ditch which functions to regulate the control of water discharge in each flow. With good and controlled irrigation, irrigation systems and waterways from upstream to downstream can be controlled, so that the need for water in agriculture, fisheries, plantations, and industry can be met and relied on properly. The sluice gate functions to control water so that it can prevent flood water in a fast and high flow. The flowing water will lead to the river to the ocean. Therefore the author will design a prototype of an Internet of Things (IoT) based automatic sluice monitoring system. this system requires interrelated components, namely NodeMcu as the control center of the system as well as a wifi module and the relay module as an electrical switch to turn on or off and use the blynk application.

Abstract

Product packaging quality plays a crucial role in maintaining product safety, reducing rework, and sustaining company competitiveness. This study aims to reduce defects in 25 kg wheat flour packaging at PT. XYZ by identifying dominant defect types and analyzing their root causes. A Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) approach—an interpretive, systems-based framework used to analyze complex, unstructured problem situations—was applied to structure the problem, develop conceptual models, and propose improvements. Based on production data, 653 packaging defects were recorded. The dominant defects were packaging leakage at the seams (51.60%) and damage during loading (36.29%), representing 87.89% of total defects. Root cause analysis using Pareto and fishbone diagrams identified human factors, improper methods, and material quality as the primary contributors. Improvement proposals include selecting higher-quality thread, optimizing operator working schedules, providing ergonomic support tools, establishing loading limits, and strengthening SOP implementation. The implementation of these improvements is expected to reduce rework levels, improve productivity, and enhance packaging reliability.

Abstract

Vehicle interior cleanliness affects travel comfort, particularly when a car is used by families or multiple passengers. This study developed and tested an ergonomic car trash-bin prototype using Design Thinking and Quality Function Deployment through the House of Quality (HoQ). The study used archived product-development evidence, including aggregate questionnaire charts, an empathy map, existing-product observations, brainstorming records, HoQ, hand sketches, fabrication videos, static-fit photographs, and prototype-testing documentation. Because respondent-level questionnaire data were not retained, the analysis was descriptive and did not use inferential statistics. Three user needs were prioritised: easy reach, no interference with passenger movement, and prevention of waste scattering. The documented initial under-seat concept measured 440 x 450 x 200 mm and did not fit the selected vehicle space. After cardboard trials at the highest and lowest seat positions, the revised under-seat design measured 280 x 250 x 100 mm and achieved documented static fit. An initial door-trim trial was blocked by the cavity geometry; a custom door-pocket configuration of 160 x 65 x 130 mm was subsequently documented in static placement. The 2 mm black-acrylic prototype was assessed only for basic fit and intended use. The findings support vehicle-specific product development and identify the need for dynamic driving, usability, and cost-validation tests. For automotive-accessory designers and small manufacturers, this record offers a practical, replicable reference for translating cabin-cleanliness complaints into a vehicle-specific prototype before committing to tooling and mass production.
