Abstract

Abstract This study aims to compare the use of social media and online discussion forums as tools to enhance interaction and collaboration among students in higher education institutions. The research method employed is a quantitative approach with an experimental research design. The research sample consists of two groups of students, one group using social media as a means of interaction and collaboration, and the other group using online discussion forums. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring the level of interaction and collaboration among students in each group. Additionally, data were gathered through participatory observation to directly observe interactions. Data analysis was conducted using appropriate statistical techniques to compare the differences between the two groups. The results indicate that both groups of students experienced increased interaction and collaboration after using social media and online discussion forums. However, there was no significant difference in the increase of interaction between the two groups. Nevertheless, a significant difference was found in the level of collaboration, with the group using online discussion forums showing a more significant increase in collaboration compared to the social media group. These findings suggest that both social media and online discussion forums are effective in enhancing interaction among students in higher education institutions, but online discussion forums are more effective in fostering better collaboration among them. This study provides important insights for educational institutions in choosing and optimizing the use of communication platforms to enhance student interaction and collaboration. It also highlights the potential of online discussion forums as an effective tool in creating a more collaborative learning environment in higher education. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the characters Itachi Uchiha, Sasuke Uchiha, and Obito Uchiha in the anime Naruto Shippuden by Masashi Kishimoto using Jacques Derrida's deconstruction approach. This anime is highly popular and has created many phenomena in the global community. Its characters have a significant influence on the audience, both in terms of lifestyle and attitude. In this research, the three main characters are analyzed based on the themes of binary opposition, logical inconsistency, and new construction. Itachi Uchiha is examined in terms of his sacrifice and betrayal, Sasuke Uchiha in terms of his quest for revenge and truth, and Obito Uchiha in terms of character transformation and redemption. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with an in-depth analysis of important scenes from the anime. The results of the study show that these characters are complex and have many layers that can be interpreted differently depending on the perspective used.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari bagaimana pengaruh budaya organisasi (X1), motivasi kerja (X2) dan kepuasan kerja (X3) terhadap kinerja personil Polres Tebing Tinggi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini merupakan seluruh personil Polres Tebing Tinggi yang berjumlah 250 personil, sehingga dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin dengan teknik purposive sampling maka jumlah sampel yang diperoleh sebanyak 71 personil. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari September 2023 yang direncanakan akan selesai hingga Desember 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan data kuantitatif yang diolah dengan menggunakan SPSS Versi 24.0 dengan model regresi linear berganda. Sumber data berasal dari responden yang dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya organisasi, motivasi kerja, dan kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja personil Polres Tebing Tinggi baik secara parsial maupun secara simultan. Variabel motivasi kerja menjadi variabel yang paling dominan mempengaruhi kinerja personil. Sebesar 82,5% kinerja personil dapat dijelaskan dan diperoleh dari budaya organisasi, motivasi kerja, dan kepuasan kerja, sedangkan sisanya oleh faktor lain. Kinerja personil memiliki hubungan yang sangat kuat terhadap budaya organisasi, motivasi kerja, dan kepuasan kerja. Kata Kunci : Budaya Organisasi, Motivasi Kerja, Kepuasan Kerja dan Kinerja

Abstract

Abstract Price discounts are one of the factors that researchers believe can influence consumer purchasing decisions and are even the main factor that consumers take into account, especially for products that are not too much different in quality. Apart from price cuts, researchers also believe that promotional factors can also influence purchasing decisions due to the expanding market share and the increasing number of potential consumers who know about a product. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the effect of price discounts on purchasing decisions. Different from previous research, this research adds the Word of Mouth variable as a moderating variable. This research is qualitative research with an explanatory approach. The data used in this research is primary data that researchers obtained from the questionnaire method of 300 Shopee application users consisting of 150 sellers and 150 buyers. The questionnaire is in the form of multiple choices containing the words strongly agree-strongly disagree. These data were analyzed using the smart PLS 4.O method. Abstract

This research is quantitative research with an exploratory approach, namely an approach that uses a number of previous studies as the main reference for finding elements of Novelty and Research Gap in this article. The data used in this research is secondary data that researchers obtained from the annual Central Statistics Agency reports from 2014-2024. The data used was analyzed using the smart PLS 4.0 analysis tool with the hypothesis formulation below. The result in this article show the investment variable has a positive relationship and a significant influence on economic growth. This is because the P-Values value is positive and is below the 0.05 significance level, namely 0.003. This is because large investments can improve all lines that can boost growth, both in terms of industry, education, health, and so on. Apart from that, in the second row of the third table, the Path Coefficient above shows that the Export variable can moderate the influence of the Investment variable on Economic Growth due to the same thing, namely the direction of the positive relationship of P-Values and is below the significance level of 0.05, namely 0.000, which is more significant than the direct test of 0.003. . In this way the first and second hypotheses in the research can be accepted and proven. Keywords: Investment, Econmic Growth, Exports

Abstract

Purpose: to understand and analyze the influence of gross domestic product (GDP) and export value on inflation in five countries in ASEAN. Methodology: The analysis method in this study is econometric analysis of panel data regression from 2018 to 2022 in 5 ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand) using e-Views software. Results: The results of the research partially show that the variables gross domestic product (GDP) (X1) and export value (X2) have a significant and positive influence on inflation in the five main ASEAN countries. The test results together also show that there is a significant positive influence of the variables gross domestic product (GDP) (X1) and export value (X2) on inflation. Applications/Originality/Value: This research uses five ASEAN countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines, as research objects, where the use of these countries has never been carried out in previous research. Then the added value of this research can be seen in the choice of GDP as one of the variables, where GDP is one of the main variables in determining the inflation rate

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of product quality on purchasing decisions for wardah cosmetic products, to determine and analyze the effect of brand image on purchasing decisions for wardah cosmetic products, to determine and analyze the influence of celebrity endorsers on purchasing decisions for wardah cosmetic products. This study uses a quantitative methodology. This research was conducted for four months. The population in this study are all consumers who buy wardah cosmetic products in Surakarta. The sample in this study consisted of 100 respondents. This study uses a non-probability sampling technique with purposive sampling. The results showed that product quality, brand image, and celebrity endorsements had a positive and significant impact on buying decisions for wardah cosmetic products in Surakarta. in the model of 35.7%, while the remaining variables of 64.3% are influenced by other factors that are not taken into account in this study. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of work ability, the influence of job satisfaction, change management on employee performance at the Palopo City Encryption and Statistics Service. This research is a type of quantitative research that is descriptive in nature. Sampling used Nonprobability Sampling with saturated sampling techniques. This research uses a Likert measurement scale. Data processing uses SPSS version 20 software. Work ability has no effect and is not significant on employee performance. Job satisfaction has an influence and is not significant on employee performance. Change Management has a significant and influential effect on employee performance. Work Ability, Job Satisfaction, and Change Management simultaneously (together) and significantly on employee performance. To improve employee performance, it is necessary to increase work ability on employee performance, the higher the job satisfaction, the more it will affect employee performance, Changes in management greatly influence employee performance, every small change, whether increasing or decreasing, will affect a larger increase or decrease in employee performance..

The COVID-19 pandemic has left a tremendous impact on the global economy, particularly in terms of reducing the number of employees. Abstract

The phenomenon that occurred during the Covid 19 pandemic was that many telecommunications companies that went public developed well, even though during the pandemic many companies experienced large losses and even went bankrupt. The problem in this research aims to determine the effect of profitability and liquidity on company value with company size as a moderating variable in telecommunications companies listed on the IDX for the 2019 - 2021 period. The type of research used is quantitative research with secondary data sources. The population in this study were 19 telecommunications service companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019 - 2021 period. The sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique of 16 companies that met the criteria. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression analysis techniques and regression analysis with moderating variables. The research results show that profitability and liquidity are able to influence company value, while capital structure is not able to influence company value. The company size variable is unable to moderate profitability, capital structure and liquidity on company value.
