Abstract

In elementary school, a mastery of geometric and algebraic mathematical methods is necessary. Students in the discipline of algebra struggle with fraction addition and multiplication. Similarly, students struggle in geometry to compute the area of a flat plane. Group IV Koto Sani teachers in the Koto Singkarak District of the Solok Regency received this assistance in the form of workshops. From August to October 2022, there will be three meetings both in-person and online. The offered material is comprised of TPACK-based learning resources, such as Cuisenaire rods, flat media, and music boards. Based on the results of the initial and final surveys, it was determined that there was a 7% improvement in material comprehension, a 7% improvement in the ability to create media, and a 5% improvement in the ability to use media

Abstract

Based on observations and discussions with several mathematics teachers at Singkarak State Middle School, X Koto Singkarak District, Solok Regency, problems were found in learning mathematics, namely students still had difficulty understanding mathematical concepts and students were less active in the learning process. An indication of this is the low student learning outcomes. Teachers still do not utilize learning models and media that can attract students' interest in learning. Conducted training on strengthening mathematics material through ICT-based lesson study. The results showed that there was an increase in the teacher's understanding of the material, the teacher's skills in making learning media and the teacher's proficiency in using IT-based learning media.

Abstract

Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is an Indonesian spice plant which is widely used as traditional medicine. Another type of ginger that has more properties and a stronger spicy taste, namely red ginger. Red ginger is predicted to be able to inhibit the infection process of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in human host cells. Red ginger can increase the body's immunity, increase IgM levels and reduce the circulation of pro-inflammatory cytokines. The PPUPIK service team in collaboration with the HMJ Biology KWU Unit has developed the instant red ginger “Sipodeh” product well. Currently we are expanding the marketing system. Some of the good practices that have been carried out are training the PPUPIK team to understand the basic concepts of marketing, studying marketing strategies, making simple bookkeeping. The results of this product marketing training were directly applied to various national scale activities by participating in bazaars at POMNAS at UNP. At the provincial level the "SIPODEH" team played an active role in the West Sumatra Malagak event sponsored by the West Sumatra regional government together with West Sumatra HIPMI. Participating in national and provincial scale activities succeeded in introducing "Sipodeh" instant red ginger well to consumers.

Abstract

Collecting data is the initial stage of data processing. Such that, it is needed to make sure the data collected is representative. Surveyor is one of its principal components. But, Nagari as a small component of a residence lack of professional surveyor for the work of the survey. The Statistics Department as a producer of statistician gives training to local residents to collect their own data using the right method in Nagari Tanjung Balik

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is a global issue that is a priority in both Indonesia and Malaysia. Since being designated by WHO at 1993 as a global public health threat, Tuberculosis (TB) has become one of the top 10 leading causes of death worldwide. Recently, the number of Tuberculosis (TB) patients in Indonesia has increased, especially paediatric TB cases. In addition, Tuberculosis (TB) cases also increased in Malaysia. For the West Sumatra region, the highest number of TB patients is in Padang City. Since Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease that can affect anyone including children, the school environment as one of the places where children gather and interact has the opportunity to be a place for the spread of TB cases as well as having an important role in preventing TB transmission. However, in reality, the role of schools in early prevention efforts related to Tuberculosis (TB) disease in children, especially elementary school students, is still not optimal. In line with this, Tuberculosis (TB) disease is closely related to the human respiratory system which is one of the topics discussed in the human anatomy and physiology course in the MBKM activity between the Department of Biology FMIPA UNP and the Department of Biology UPSI. Therefore, it is necessary to make preventive efforts in the form of Tuberculosis prevention education. The results of community service are that several stages of community service activities have been carried out regarding Tuberculosis (TB) prevention education for elementary school students, namely the students involved are enthusiastic about the activities held, then pre-service biology teacher are also actively engaged in preparing and carrying out this activity and students' knowledge related to general knowledge, symptoms, their relationship with the respiratory system and prevention efforts are classified as good.

Abstract

Makanan halal menjadi perhatian khusus karena selain sebagai kebutuhan sehari-hari, makanan halal juga menjamin kebaikan, kebersihan dan manfaatnya bagi tubuh. Keterjaminan halal dari suatu produk makanan memerlukan sertifikasi dari lembaga yang berwenang. Saat ini pemerintah Negara Indonesia mencanangkan program sertifikasi halal bagi produk makan dan minuman melalui program sertifikasi halal gratis (SEHATI) melalui skema self-declare. Program ini memiliki 1 Juta kuota sertifikat halal dan membutuhkan pendamping proses produk halal (PPH) dalam pengajuannya. Akan tetapi jumlah pendamping yang ada saat ini masih sedikit khususnya di Kota Padang. Oleh karena itu tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat dan Lembaga Pendamping Proses Produk Halal (LP3H) Universitas Negeri Padang melaksanakan pelatihan pendamping proses produk halal (PPH) bagi pemuda Karang Taruna Kota Padang. Setelah dilaksanakannya pelatihan, perlu dilakukan analisa kesiapan calon pendamping PPH yang bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat kesiapan peserta pelatihan apabila dinyatakan lulus sebagai pendamping PPH. Kesiapan dievaluasi dari delapan aspek yang diturunkan dari materi yang diberikan saat pelatihan. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dan diisi secara online oleh responden yang berjumlah 33 orang. Dari data yang diperoleh diketahui bahwa calon pendamping PPH memiliki tingkat kesiapan yang tinggi pada semua aspek yang dievaluasi. Aspek yang memiliki skor paling tinggi adalah penggunaan akun SiHalal dengan skor 4,92. Sementara itu, aspek dengan nilai paling rendah adalah Perizinan pelaku usaha dengan skor 4,23. Akan tetapi semua aspek memiliki skor >4,2 yang termasuk ke dalam kategori Siap.

Abstract

Kampung Arar is a village that lives traditionally and has rich biodiversity, especially as rebon shrimp. The purpose of this training is to empower the people of Kampung Arar to take advantage of local potential, namely rebon shrimp into shrimp paste. The method of carrying out activities is by providing socialization on how to make rebon shrimp paste interactively, providing training on making rebon shrimp paste to the Arar village community, and monitoring training activities through observing participants' responses during the activity. In carrying out the activities, it was described about the expectations of the positive impact of this training on the people of Kampung Arar, including improving product quality, economic income. As a result of the training on making shrimp paste, the people of Kampung Arar were able to strengthen their local identity and open up new business opportunities. In addition, it is also hoped that there will be sustainable preservation of coastal ecosystems and the environment, so that the welfare and quality of life of the community can increase in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Biodiversity is Indonesia's natural wealth. Nagari Tanjung Balik, IX Koto Atas District, Solok Regency is a Nagari that has unique natural wealth. Ngalau is part of the wealth of Biodiversity that must be preserved. However, this area has received less attention because it has not been properly promoted. This is because the ability of residents to introduce their area through various platforms is still lacking. For this reason, it is necessary to have YouTube-based community multimedia production training. The form of activity that will be carried out is active participation through promotional strategy seminars, multimedia production training, and promotional videos as well as the use of YouTube as a village promotion media. The results of these activities resulted in 3 best video winners. The satisfaction survey showed that 58% of participants were very satisfied and 42% satisfied. Improvements in knowledge, attitudes and skills were also seen after the activity.

Abstract

Developing villages' data toward digital data is one of villages' government programs to improve the villages. The village's government needs collaboration with professional surveyors and data digital builders to achieve the goal, which the government is unable to provide. The Statistics Department provided the team to overcome the problems by giving training surveys to local residents and accompanying them to build Nagari Tanjung Gadang digital data.

Abstract

Menulis laporan penelitian merupakan kemampuan yang harus dimiliki oleh lulusan perguruan tinggi. Salah satu laporan penelitian adalah artikel yang diterbitkan di jurnal. Setiap jurnal memiliki aturan khusus yang terkait dengan tata cara penulisan termasuk sitasi dan refererensi. Akan tetapi kesadaran terhadap penyesuaian cara penulisan sitasi dan referensi masih rendah yang berujung pada tidak teraturnya penulisan sitasi dan referensi. Selain itu, kesadaran yang rendah tersebut ditambah pula dengan ketidak-tahuan terhadap alat bantú dalam mengelola sitasi dan referensi pada saat menulis draft manuskrip. Oleh karena itu, departemen fisika melaksanakan pelatihan penggunaan software pengolah sitasi dan referensi bagi mahasiswa tahun ke-empat dimana objek pelatihan ini sedang melakukan penelitian dan akan menulis laporan penelitian. Jenis peneiltian ini adalah deskriptif expost facto untuk mengungkap fakta yang berhubungan dengan pengetahuan mahasiswa terhadap software pengolah sitasi dan referensi. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan diberikan. Mahasiswa tingkat ke-empat yang menjadi responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 93 orang. Respon mahasiswa sebelum diberikan pelatihan menyatakan bahwa mahasiswa sudah memiliki pengalaman dalam menulis karya ilmiah dan membuat daftar referensi, akan tetapi masih sedikit yang mengetahui tentang software pengolah sitasi dan referensi. Setelah mengikuti pelatihan, mahasiswa merasakan manfaat dari kegiatan pelatihan dan memahami cara penggunaan software pengolah sitasi dan referensi.
