Abstract

Abstract – Maladummes district, Saoka village is a coastal area located in the city of Sorong. In the area, natural resources are quite abundant such as catches of fish, squid, shellfish and so on, but they are not utilized optimally because the catch is only sold in fresh form. Whereas in addition to being sold in fresh form, it can also be processed into products so that the selling value increases. This is due to the slow access to incoming information in the surrounding area, due to the low level of education of local residents. Apart from that, people are left behind in the development of technology and important information that has been and is being developed. Such as important information regarding simple appropriate technology that can be applied to produce fishery products, this is because there have never been socialization activities for processing fishery products and other foods. The purpose of this activity is that the people of Saoka village are able to know about the processing of fishery products, so that later the community will be able to apply it in daily life, or make it a business area on a household scale. The method of implementation is by means of lectures and discussions with participants on how to make fish balls, fish nuggets, fish floss, seaweed meatballs and seaweed syrup. The result of the activities that have been carried out is that the people of Saoka village, Maladum district mes, Sorong city, West Papua, responded very well and enthusiastically. This is indicated by the increase in the value of the pre-test and post-test regarding the processing procedures for fishery products. Increased knowledge of partner communities by 41%. Abstract

Educators, hereinafter referred to as teachers, are essentially required to have competencies that include four competencies, namely pedagogic competence, professional competence, personality competence and social competence. In professional competence, teachers are required to master the subject area they teach and be able to make continuous improvements as a form of effort to increase their competence. One of the efforts is to make continuous improvements for independent teachers as well as in classroom learning activities to continuously increase the meaning of the learning process. One of the important aspects that must be considered by teachers is the use of appropriate (valid), precise, simple and reliable learning media to communicate the scientific concepts they teach. The facts show that there are still many teacher inaccuracies in choosing and using media in carrying out the learning process. The focus of the workshop carried out was on non-printed learning media types of presentation learning media and interactive learning videos based on generative learning. The initial data of the subject, namely the Science Teacher of SMP in Solok Regency, showed that 60% of the subjects were still unable to apply the proper use of Learning Media. As many as 67% of the subjects were constrained by access to communication and the internet because the area where the subject worked was still difficult to get a telephone signal or internet connection. Subjects have not received technical guidance / training related to the development of learning media even though 78% of the schools where they work already have multimedia facilities. After being given a workshop, mentoring and coaching on the subject under study, a significant change was seen. As many as 77% of the subjects studied have been able to overcome the obstacles faced related to the development of learning media, 85% of the subjects assessed that the workshop activities had been able to increase the creativity of teachers in producing work and 84% of the subjects studied felt more confident to be sustainable in producing work

Abstract

Chemistry Teacher Association of the 5th region in West Sumatera is a discussion media for chemistry teacher in Sijunjung, Sawahlunto, and Darmasraya District. There are 33 Senior High School in these area with 42 members. They have difficulty in implementing Problem Based Learning and Project Based Learning model due to lack of understanding. Some expected competences in the 2013 curriculum require teaching learning process to be conducted by PBL dan PjBL particularly the competences with operational verb “designing and creating”. Moreover, they do not have any teaching material based on PBL and PjBL since these kinds of learning models have to provide contextual problems related to chemisty topics. Students will propose solutions and products, via discussion and project. The training successed in guiding teachers to compile 8 PBL and 6 PjBL learning materials.

Abstract

Abstract – Rice is one of the national mainstay commodities that have an important role in the Indonesian economy, which is also a mainstay crop commodity in Solok Regency. Solok Regency is famous for its high quality rice. Nagari Dilam, Bukit Sundi District, as a village with a large rice commodity in Solok Regency, most of the residents have a livelihood as rice farmers. To obtain good yields, the material that is needed during the planting process is fertilizer. However, fertilizer problems almost always appear every year in this area. In the last 2 years, farmers have complained due to these problems, including the price of commercial inorganic fertilizers (Urea, SP36, KCl, ZA) which tends to increase. In addition, without realizing it, the intensive use of commercial inorganic fertilizers can cause a decrease in soil fertility and soil organic matter decreases. The idea of using wasted straw came up as a way to solve these problem to prodice orgnic fertilizer. A training in preparation of organic fertilizer from wasted straw has been conducted in Nagari Dilam. The produced organic fertilizer has been characterized for N, P,K containing subtance. The fertilizer contains 0.030%, 4.563% and 1.369% of N, P, and K respectively. Keywords Organic, Fertilizer, Wasted Straw, Rice
