Abstract

This study seeks to comprehend in-depth how social entrepreneurship (SE) practices from a business standpoint in Islamic boarding schools, as well as what values emerge in SE practices. The qualitative research design is descriptive exploratory, with a holistic single-case study conducted at the Sidogiri Islamic boarding school in Pasuruan, Indonesia. In-depth interviews, field observations, focused discussions, and a review of supporting documents were employed to collect data. Purposive sampling was used to select key informants, and the snowball sampling technique was used to select other informants based on key informant recommendations. After maintaining quality standards through data triangulation, observers and sources, and member checks, data analysis employs an interactive model. According to the findings, SE practices are implemented through a combination of corporate social responsibility programs, bottom-of-the-pyramid orientation, other SE activities, and spirituality. The distinction of SE development in the Islamic boarding school-based business perspective in Indonesia is this balance. The balance of the SE program, as reflected in the holistic blended value, is critical to the business's existence and sustainability. The last section goes over the implications and future research.

Abstract

Formula Altman Z-score, uses various ratios that create a predictor of difficulty. Characteristics of these ratios are used to identify possible future profit difficulties. Financial ratios used in this method are WCTA, RETA, EBITTA, MVEBVL, and STA. Problem in this research lies in two dimensions, first dimension is how to evaluate company's financial performance using the components of financial ratios used in the Altman model, and second dimension is how the Altman Z-score formula predicts the financial difficulties of companies a potential bankruptcy. This study aims to determine the accuracy of the Altman Z-score formula in predicting the financial difficulties of non-cyclical consumer sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2018-2021. The research results based on five financial ratios in the Altman equation formula base on observation period CAMP and ADES companies are predicted to be in the healthy financial category, and ULTJ, MYOR, AISA, CLEO, ICBP companies are in the dangerous zone, and FOOD, INDF, ALTO companies are in the bankruptcy predicted and potential bankruptcy in the future.

Abstract

Pasar modal atau dapat disebut juga bursa efek merupakan salah satu kegiatan pasar keuangan yang melakukan kegiatan ekonomi dan fungsi keuangan, dimana kegiatan yang dilakukan di Bursa Efek sangat tergantung dengan peraturan pemerintah. Pada tanggal 1 April, pemerintah mengeluarkan kebijakan baru, yang mana naiknya harga bahan bakar minyak (BBM) jenis pertamax. Meski dinamika pasar modal tidak terpengaruh secara langsung, akan tetapi kenaikan harga BBM tidak lepas dari aktivitas saham pasar. Dilakukannya penelitian ini dengan maksud adalah untuk melihat, apakah ada reaksi pasar saham, terutama saham sektor transportasi dan logistik, terhadap kenaikan harga BBM tanggal 1 April 2022. Penelitian ini menggunakan variabel Abnormal Return (AR), dan Trading Volume Activity (TVA) dengan periode 30 hari, sebelum dan sesudah pemberitahuan kenaikan harga BBM. Metode yang dilakukan adalah dengan menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon. Dari penelitian ini, diperoleh hasil bahwa modal pasar tidak sensitif terhadap peraturan naiknya harga BBM. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari, tidak adanya perbedaan pada AR dan TVA, sebelum dan sesudah pemberitahuan kenaikan harga BBM

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar rasio profitabilitas dalam memproyeksikan return saham pada perusahaan go public yang bergerak di bidang sektor pertambangan yang tergabung dalam indeks LQ45 pra pandemi hingga pasca pandemi periode 2017-2022. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis menggunakan analisis trend. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan selama periode penelitian adalah keempat indikator rasio profitabilitas (NPM, ROA, ROE, EPS) mengalami kecenderungan positif atau uptrend dan disertai dengan trend return saham juga mengalami uptrend. Hal ini menandakan bahwa ketika perusahaan berhasil menghasilkan laba, maka investor akan berebut untuk membeli saham tersebut sehingga harga saham akan meningkat dan tentunya akan menciptakan nilai return yang lebih besar yang dapat dirasakan oleh pemegang saham. Dan disaat perusahaan memiliki kemampuan menghasilkan laba, maka semakin besar potensi return saham yang akan terjadi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis pengentasan kemiskinan melalui pendekatan collaborative governance (CG) yang dilakukan Pemerintah Kabupaten Malang. Kabupaten Malang menyumbang angka kemiskinan yang tinggi di Jawa Timur. Dengan menggunakan CG. Metodologi kualitatif digunakan di dalam penelitian ini. Wawancara dan studi dokumentasi menjadi teknik yang digunakan sepenuhnya dalam proses mendapatkan data dan informasi. Ditemukan bahwa pada aspek pengaturan secara kelembagaan; tidak didapati ketetapan hukum dalam bentuk apapun yang menyebutkan secara eksplisit unsur kolaborasi dalam penanggulang kemiskinan, namun dalam aspek strategi dan konsep pengentasan kemiskinan tertulis pada Misi ke-5 Kabupaten Malang dan juga terdapat pada RPJMD 2016-2021. Selanjutnya dalam konteks hubungan struktural menunjukan bahwa pola interaksi dan konektifitas kolaborasi dalam upaya meminimalisasi tingkat kemiskinan di Kabupaten Malang hanya berlangsung secara horizontal lintas OPD. Terakhir pada aspek advokasi koalisi, secara spesifik tidak terdapat koalisi khusus yang dibentuk dalam pengentasan kemiskinan di Kabupaten Malang.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan eksplotasi perempuan dalam komunikasi pemasaran oleh wirausahawan baru dalam membentuk brand awareness melalui media sosial yang lebih peka terhadap isu-isu gender. Media sosial telah menjadi platform penting dalam komunikasi pemasaran yang memungkinkan interaksi dengan pelanggan, membangun dan menciptakan kesadaran merk. Namun, fenomena eksplotasi perempuan dalam strategi pemasaran media sosial memperkuat stereotip gender dan mengabaikan isu penting yang mempengaruhi perempuan. Studi ini menggunakan metode studi literatur dengan menganalisis 63 artikel jurnal untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang eksplotasi perempuan dalam komunikasi pemasaran dan pentingnya strategi wirausaha yang melek gender dalam membentuk brand awareness media sosial. Dalam kajian ini, ditemukan bahwa wirausahawan pemula harus mengadopsi strategi yang melek gender dalam membentuk brand awareness melalui media sosial, dengan melibatkan penggunaan bahasa yang inklusif, penghapusan stereotip gender dalam konten, serta dukungan terhadap kesetaraan gender dan keberagaman dalam komunikasi bisnis. Kemudian lingkungan bisnis dapat menjadi lebih inklusif, setara, dan adil tanpa memperkuat stereotip dan diskriminasi gender. Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the influence of organizational culture and work life balance on the performance of female employees in the East Java region. Data collection was carried out by observing and distributing questionnaires. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling with the criteria of women working in the East Java region. The number of samples used was 100 respondents who were working women in the East Java Region. The analysis tools used are multiple linear analysis test, coefficient of determination test, and hypothesis test. The results of this study indicate that: 1) organizational culture variables partially have a significant effect on employee performance, 2) work life balance variables partially have a significant effect on employee performance, 3) organizational culture and work life balance variables have a simultaneous effect on employee performance.

Abstract

Women waste pickers in Kota Harapan Indah, despite facing social stigma and social discrimination, can still show resilience in overcoming challenges and problems in their work. The self-concept of women waste pickers is formed through social and personal perceptions, social relationships, and self-experiences that ultimately form the basis for understanding how they adapt to challenging environments. This study aims to find out and describe the self-concept of women scavenger workers. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The study data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The results showed that women waste pickers in Kota Harapan, Indonesia, experienced a negative social perception from the community regarding their work. This social stigma influences the formation of self-concept in the imagination through shadows of self-appearance, judgment, and emotional feelings. In addition, social interaction, both with family, fellow waste pickers, and the surrounding community, has an important role in shaping the self-concept of women scavenger workers. Positive feedback from the social environment can increase the self-confidence and self-acceptance of women scavengers. This research shows that the self-concept of women scavengers is influenced by people's perceptions, social relationships, and personal experiences. This self-image is the result of complex interactions between individuals and their environment. The conclusions in this study show how social and self-perceptions, social relationships, and self-experiences have a significant role in shaping the self-concept of women scavenger workers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the mediating role of green innovation on the influence of human capital on business performance in MSMEs in Surabaya. The population in this study were all MSMEs in Surabaya in the accommodation and food and beverage provider sector, while the samples were taken using purposive sampling with special criteria, namely MSMEs that had been operating for more than 1 year. The data collection method uses a questionnaire in the form of a Google form and is distributed online to respondents. The number of respondents who met the criteria in the study were 100 respondents. This study uses the WarpPLS 8.0 application to assist in analyzing. The data analysis technique used is the outer model (validity test and reliability test), inner model (determinant coefficient, Q-squared and effect size), and hypothesis testing. The empirical results of this study indicate that human capital has a positive and significant effect on business performance and green innovation. Green innovation has a positive and significant effect on business performance. Furthermore, green innovation is able to mediate human capital on business performance.

Abstract

Indonesia as a developing country relies heavily on its natural wealth in the plantation sector which contributes to economic growth. CPO price fluctuations are influenced by soybeans, which are CPO substitute products, these CPO fluctuations greatly affect the amount of production and demand for CPO itself and have an impact on the price of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) and the increase in global CPO prices. This study uses a type of qualitative research method that is a descriptive analysis using library research as a secondary data collection technique. Responding to the issue of CPO, the Indonesian government set a policy to accelerate the distribution of CPO exports by setting export duties and export tariffs in the program to accelerate the distribution of CPO and its derivatives through exports as regulated in PMK/102/PMK.010/22. In addition to this policy, the government also sets service tariffs in the Public Service Agency of the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS) aimed at stabilizing FFB prices and optimizing trade and production of CPO and its derivative products PMK 103/PMK.05/2022. The program to accelerate the distribution of CPO exports is carried out by the provisions stipulated by the government in legislation through intensive supervision and research on exporters, which is expected to increase export volumes and stabilize FFB prices and contribute to increasing Indonesia's economic growth through an increase in foreign exchange.
