Abstract

The high maternal mortality rate in Indonesia is caused by 32% of births being assisted by traditional birth attendants. Delivery assisted by medical personnel is closely related to efforts to reduce infant mortality and maternal mortality. Even though the movement is slow, it definitely shows improvement compared to those who are assisted by non-medical personnel (midwife). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between attitude and the selection of birth attendants for pregnant women in Ciakar village, Tangerang district. The research method used is the analytical method. The population and sample of the study were 68 pregnant women. Data analysis with univariate and bivariate analysis. The results of univariate analysis, pregnant women based on the selection of birth attendants (52.9%) showed that the majority of pregnant women chose non-health workers, pregnant women based on their attitudes towards the selection of birth attendants (73.5%) showed that the majority of pregnant women have a disapproving attitude towards the selection of birth attendants with health workers. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between attitudes and the selection of birth attendants for pregnant women (P=0.001).

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between breech delivery and the condition of the mother and baby at RSIA Permata Hati in 2021. The conceptual framework in this research is the independent variables in the form of maternal age, parity, history of previous births, gestational age, hydramnios, placenta previa and pregnancy. twins and the dependent variable is breech position. It is hoped that the benefits of this research can be used as a source of reference in handling breech delivery. In this study the author used a descriptive method by collecting data using secondary data from (Medical Records). Data analysis was carried out univariately and bivariately with a population distribution of the frequency of breech position events that occurred at RSIA Permata Hati in 2021 as many as 133 people. The results of the overall study showed that 68 people (68%) experienced pure buttock breech births and those who experienced 32 people (32%) conveyed the location of the breech buttocks. The maternal age at risk of breech delivery was 41 people (41%) and the age without risk was 59 people (59%). And 59 mothers (59%) had a previous delivery history and 41 mothers (41%) did not have a previous delivery history. With the results of the research above, it is hoped that health workers can improve the quality of services, especially in handling breech cases and can improve the quality of existing services again.

Abstract

Decision making in reproductive health is not yet entirely in the hands of women. Often decisions are made based on husband or family factors. Thus, problems often occur with termination of pregnancy which can lead to death. The aim of this research is to look at factors related to gender equality in decision making to participate in the Family Planning Program at BPS Sri Rahayu, SST. The hypothesis that will be used is that there is a relationship between the independent variables Knowledge, Attitudes, perceptions and characteristics of husband and wife, namely Age, Occupation and Income, with the dependent variable, namely Gender Equality in decision making to take part in the Family Planning Program. The benefit of this research is that by knowing gender equality in decision making to participate in a family planning program, it is hoped that it can prevent unwanted pregnancies which will lead to a reduction in maternal mortality. Based on this, this research is quantitative research with a descriptive design using correlation studies (ex post facto), which aims to understand the relationship between the dependent and independent variables without researcher intervention. Judging from the time dimension, this research is a cross sectional study. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately involving 96 mothers as respondents. The results of the research show that gender equality in the decision to take part in a family planning program is the highest among those who do not have gender equality in the decision to take part in a family planning program, totaling 54 mothers (56.3%) and the independent variables that have a significant relationship are Knowledge (p=0.000), P-value Attitude (p=0.000) P-value Perception (p=0.000) and for mother and father characteristics P-value for Father's Age (p=0.043), P-value for Mother and Father's Occupation (p=0.000), P-value for Family Income (p=0.000). The results of this research recommend to BPS Sri Rahayu, SST to increase promotion of gender equality. Recommendations are also given to other researchers who intend to conduct research on gender equality to involve more variables studied with different designs and use instruments that have standard validity and reliability values

Abstract

In 2050 the world population is expected to reach 9 billion people, with the world population growth rate of about 1.3% which means there are about 78 million additional inhabitants 1 year (UNPFA, 2002). In Indonesia, the population growth rate between 2000 – 2002 is about 1.3% or about 7.3 million people every year. Indonesia is the fourth largest population country in the world after the People's Republic of China, India, and the United States (Ahmad, 2009). The data provides a warning that the world's population, especially the Indonesian population, is still relatively high, without any efforts to control the population so that the results of development in various sectors will be difficult to achieve to the maximum. Based on a preliminary survey of researchers interviewing Couples of Childbearing Age (PUS) it turns out that 6 out of 10 Couples of Childbearing Age do not know or understand about MOP contraceptives or vasectomies. Therefore, the researchers are interested in researching about the description of the husband's knowledge about contraceptives on Jl. KH. Mustofa RT 03/04 Kel. Poris Plawad Utara, Cipondoh, Tangerang City, Banten.
