Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to describe and analyze the influence of Leadership and , Communication on Employee performance. To achieve these objectives, this study uses quantitative research methods. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation of 30 respondents analyzed using SPSS 22. The results showed that there was a significant influence between leadership, communication on employee performance. So to improve employee performance, the organization and institutional management must pay attention to improving good leadership and communication. The findings of this study are expected to be useful for further researchers in the fields of management, accounting, administration and economics.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the difficulties and the cause encountered by students of vocational school SMKN 3 Sorong while speaking English. It was used a case study research design which employed two data collection techniques, namely: class observations and interviews. This study has indicated that the main difficulties encountered by student while speaking English were caused by linguistic factors, for instance: lack of vocabularies, poor pronunciation and lack of grammar knowledge. The second problem that students have while speaking English was caused by nonlinguistic factors (psychological factors), for instance: fear of making mistake, low motivation, shyness, anxiety, mother tongue use. However, the psychological factors contributed less than linguistics factors. In conclusion that linguistic factor is the most dominant difficulties encountered by the twelfth year students of SMKN 3 Sorong while speaking English

Abstract

Penelitian ini telah dilakukan dengan fokus terhadap kesulitan yang ditemui oleh siswa pelayaran dalam menguasai kosa kata bahasa inggris. Peneliti telah menerapkan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif di dalam penelitian ini, yakni mendeskripsikan hasil analisa secara sistematis dan akurat berdasarkan fakta yang ditemukan. Ada pun teknik analisa data dilakukan dengan cara mereduksi data temuan (data reduction), menampilkan data temuan (data display), lalu menyimpulkan data temuan tersebut (data concluding). Melalui hasil dari pengumpulan data yang telah menggunakan dua cara yakni dokumentasi dan interview secara mendalam, maka peneliti telah menemukan bahwa para siswa pelayaran mengalami kesulitan dalam penguasaan kosa kata bahasa Inggris pada konteks maritim berdasarkan empat aspek yang termasuk dalam penguasaan kosa kata, yakni pengucapan (pronunciation), pengejaan (spelling), tata bahasa (gramma)r, dan makna kata (meaning). Kemudian, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa kebanyakan siswa mengalami kesulitan paling besar di dalam aspek makna kata (meaning).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the education management process at SMP Negeri 9 Sorong City. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The data collection used in this research is observation, interviews, and documentation. Sources of data in the form of primary data and secondary data. The data analysis stage in qualitative research generally starts from data collection, data reduction, and data presentation. The results of this study indicate that (1) The educational process of SMP Negeri 9 Sorong City, with the aim of the educational process at SMP Negeri 9, the education process will run effectively through an optimal and efficient learning process and learning experience. Because the development of student behavior as a learning goal that is focused on the existence of an optimal learning experience by paying attention to the function of education in the form of a. Planning (planning), b. Organizing (organizing), c. Actuanting (activities), d. Controlling (supervision). (2) SMP Negeri 9 Sorong City does not apply MOS, by handling the student orientation period which affects character building and introduction to the school environment, and only involves teachers in providing socialization; (3) SMP Negeri 9 Sorong City is still waiting for the technical technical assessment for the national assessment, West Papua Pos visited one of the leading schools in Sorong City, namely the State Junior High School (SMP) 9 Sorong City which once held the title as a reference school

Abstract

Human resources have an important role so that management activities run smoothly so that employees who are educated and have competent skills are needed to achieve company goals. The research entitled The Influence of Discipline, Motivation and Compensation on Employee Performance at Dapur Arang A Eng because it requires employee participation in terms of work discipline, motivation and compensation. The research objectives are to determine: (1) The effect of discipline on the performance of Dapur Arang A Eng employees, (2) The effect of motivation on the performance of Dapur Arang A Eng employees, (3) The effect of compensation on the performance of Dapur Arang A Eng employees, (4) the influence of discipline , motivation and compensation on the performance of employees of Dapur Arang A Eng. The technique of this research is to identify the effect of partial (t test) and simultaneous (F test) between the variables of work discipline, motivation and compensation on employee performance at Dapur Arang A Eng. The research method used is descriptive research method with quantitative applications, data analysis using SPSS version 26 software program. Data collection techniques were carried out by distributing questionnaires to 118 respondents. The results show that the R Square value of the work discipline, motivation, and compensation variables affects employee performance while the t-test for work discipline consists of a value of 2,460 > 1,658 with a significant value of 0.015 < 0.05, motivation has 5.442 > 1.658 and a significant value of 0.000 < 0 .05 and compensation to give a value of 2.121 > 1.658 and a significant value of 0.036 < 0.05. Each variable has a significant effect on employee performance and the F test results consist of a value of 117 of 73.524 > 2.68 and a significant value of 0.000 < 0, 05 which shows that discipline, motivation and compensation simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

Curriculum simplification is one of the ways in which the government supports education in Indonesia, so that learning can continue even during the COVID-19 pandemic. For this reason, the Cinta Kasih Elementary School simplifies learning tools in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year so that competence can be achieved in each subject. Researchers carried out research with the aim of analyzing the simplification of learning tools during the COVID-19 pandemic in the 2021/2022 Odd Semester at Cinta Kasih Elementary School with a sample of learning tools for science and mathematics subjects in grade 4. This study used qualitative research, namely to see how effective the simplification of learning tools was. which was applied at the Cinta Kasih Elementary School by collecting data in the form of interview data, class visits and documentation during the learning process. The results of the study can be concluded that the simplification of learning tools can be carried out effectively in the odd semester, namely by looking at the condition of the school environment, the condition of the students, and most importantly, the creativity of the teacher in teaching and using time so that the competencies, indicators that have been designed can be achieved by students. The ability of students and teachers as well as the availability of infrastructure and facilities can be seen from the ability of students to capture in class, interaction in learning between teachers and students, use of learning media, and the availability of time used in learning. This is evidenced by taking interview data, scheduled class visits and supported by documentation taken in class, so it can be proven that the simplification of learning tools has been carried out during the covid-19 pandemic at Cinta Kasih Elementary School.

Abstract

English can be used as the language of instruction in specific educational units to support students' foreign language skills. However, teachers are still not fit to teach lessons in English because of the poor quality of English. This study aims to develop a model of task-based English materials for students of primary teacher education. The type of this study is Research and Development through the model of task-based. This study involved alumni, English lecturer of PGSD UNIMED, and students of PGSD UNIMED as the research’s participants. Questionnaire, interview guidelines, and English test were the instruments used to collect the data. The research findings show that (1) from the analysis result, 100% respondents wanted primary school books based on existing themes in content courses would be used as sources of course materials; 2) the design used task-based approach and was made based on basic competency to measure the student competency achievement; (3) the basic competence for unit one is to represent and communicate observations and ideas in a variety of ways; (4) according to experts judgment, the developed materials are suitable for students of primary teacher education, which can be shown from the percentage of the content and language appropriateness are 100%, presentation appropriateness is 97% and layout appropriateness is 95% which categorized as very good; (5) there are differences in test results before and after the explanation of English teaching materials. It means that the English teaching materials developed is effective in increasing students' interest in learning.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the yield of the analysis of factors that influence the purchase decision of Koseeker in this study there is a phenomenon that there are consumers of Koseeker who are not satisfied with the consument confident, that has an impact on purchasing decisions. The technique that will be used in this research is sample random sampling, and probability sampling namely taking samples by setting specific characteristics that are in accordance with the research objectives so that it is expected to answer research problems. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis that has been enforce, it can be seen that the evaluation of respondents are in the high category, on statement trust to Koseeker for online payment a decimal score of 0,008, while the lowest respondent's response was costumer do purchase for twice statement regarding the Koseeker which obtained a decimal score of 0,0033.

Abstract

Salah satu faktor kurang berhasilnya proses pembelajaran IPS adalah masih kurangnya inovasi dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran, sehingga siswa merasa bosan dan kurang tertarik dengan pelajaran IPS. Pembelajaran dengan pendekatan keterampilan proses dapat dijadikan alternatif untuk membuat siswa aktif dalam belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu membuat siswa aktif dalam proses pembelajaran dan membuat hasil belajar IPS siswa meningkat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Inpres 60 Kabupaten Sorong (n=15). Penelitian ini berlangsung selama tiga kali pertemuan. Setiap pertemuan data dikumpulkan dengan observasi dan tes. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah statistic deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan keterampilan proses dalam pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS di kelas. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil observasi aktivitas pembelajaran di kelas IV SD Inpres 60 Kabupaten Sorong. Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar meningkat dari pertemuan pertama sampai ketiga.
