Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of entrepreneurial agility (EA) in enhancing the entrepreneurial intentions of Generation Z womenpreneurs through theoretical perspectives and recent empirical evidence. In the rapidly evolving digital economy, entrepreneurs are required to adapt to market changes, manage uncertainty, and effectively capitalize on emerging opportunities. EA serves as a key capability that drives these abilities, especially for a generation that has grown up closely with technology. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method using the PRISMA 2020 protocol, with literature searches conducted through the Scopus and Google Scholar databases over the past five years, yielding a total of 244 articles (Scopus = 44 articles from 2020–2025 and Google Scholar = 200 articles from 2020–2025). The SLR findings indicate that Generation Z women possess substantial potential to develop digital-based businesses, yet they still face obstacles such as limited experience, fear of failure, and gender disparities. In this context, EA emerges as a determining factor that can enhance confidence, risk-taking readiness, and resilience in navigating business dynamics. Thus, strengthening EA is not only theoretically relevant but also practically essential to support the development of young womenpreneurs in the digital economy era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential of the digital economy in the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Medan City and examine the application of Islamic business ethics in the process of business digitalization. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with in-depth interviews, direct observations, and documentation studies from various relevant sources. The collected data were analyzed thematically to identify patterns, relationships, and factors influencing the adoption of the digital economy among MSME players. The findings indicate that the digital economy holds significant potential in supporting MSME growth in Medan City, as evidenced by the 3,000 MSMEs that have received training and assistance from the government. However, several challenges hinder its implementation, including limited capital, low digital literacy, difficulty accessing information, and a reluctance among business owners to transition to digital systems. From the perspective of Islamic business ethics, economic digitalization is permissible as long as it does not contradict Sharia principles, such as honesty, justice, and transaction transparency. While most MSME players are not fully aware of Islamic business ethics concepts, many have unknowingly applied these values in their business activities. This study provides recommendations for the government and stakeholders to enhance digital literacy and offer continuous support through more flexible regulations, intensive training, and financial incentives to accelerate MSME digitalization based on Islamic business ethics.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) analyze the influence of product knowledge on the decision to use Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) products; (2) examine the influence of brand image on the decision to use the products; and (3) assess the role of trust as a mediating variable in the relationship between product knowledge and brand image and the decision to use the products. A quantitative approach was used in this study, using Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis using the SmartPLS application. This study involved 100 IAIN Bone students selected through purposive sampling based on their experience using BSI services. The results showed that product knowledge had a positive but insignificant effect on the decision to use BSI products. Conversely, brand image had a positive and significant effect, indicating that perceptions of BSI's reputation and credibility were dominant factors in driving the decision to use. Furthermore, trust was shown to have a significant positive effect as a mediating variable that strengthened the relationship between product knowledge and brand image on the decision to use the products.

Abstract

The Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) program launched by Japan in 2019 provides significant opportunities for Indonesian vocational high school graduates, particularly in the caregiving and hospitality sectors. However, participation from SMK Negeri 2 Malang remains low despite preparatory classes being offered since 2020. This conceptual research aims to analyze the influence of Javanese cultural values on vocational high school graduates' decisions to work in Japan through SSW, identify cultural barriers, and develop solutions. Using a qualitative approach with a literature review and case studies, the population included graduates of SMK Negeri 2 Malang (2020-2025) involved in the SSW program (approximately 20 alumni, 11 successful), with purposive sampling of tracer study data. Instruments consisted of secondary documents from journals and school records, analyzed using inductive thematic techniques. The results show that Javanese values such as family ties, mutual cooperation, parental responsibility, and Islamic principles significantly hinder migration due to concerns about social harmony. In conclusion, interventions such as family counseling and subsidies are needed to balance cultural preservation with global mobility.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the readiness of SMP Negeri 18 Tanjung Jabung Timur in implementing digital-based promotions in the era of information technology transformation. The background of this study departs from the condition of the school which experienced a significant decline in the number of students and the low utilization of digital media in school promotional activities. This study uses qualitative and quantitative approaches with a descriptive research type, through data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, documentation, and distribution of questionnaires to the principal, vice principal, school operators, and social media administrators. Data analysis was carried out through the processes of data reduction, data presentation, triangulation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that SMP Negeri 18 Tanjung Jabung Timur is quite ready to implement digital-based promotions, but not yet optimal. Of the four main indicators, technological infrastructure readiness is quite adequate, with the availability of computers, an internet network, and a school social media platform, although not yet fully utilized. Regarding the human resources indicator, the digital competence of teachers and education personnel is still limited, requiring ongoing training and mentoring. The policy and management support indicator indicates the school's commitment, but it is not yet supported by structured strategic planning. Meanwhile, the procedure indicator for implementing digital promotions has not been implemented consistently due to the lack of operational guidelines and periodic evaluations. Based on these findings, schools need to improve the digital competency of their human resources, refine work program-based digital promotion planning, strengthen management policies, and optimize the use of digital platforms to ensure effective and sustainable promotional strategies. This research is expected to serve as a reference for other schools in developing digital promotion strategies as part of increasing educational institution competitiveness in the digital era.

Abstract

Main Purpose - This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Internal Control System (ICS) in improving financial accountability, transparency, and operational efficiency in regional public enterprises. Method - The methodology used is a qualitative approach, combining interviews with key stakeholders and a systematic literature review (SLR) to assess the implementation of ICS and its impact on financial management. Main Findings - The results show that well-implemented ICS significantly contributes to improving financial accountability and transparency, as well as reducing the risk of public funds being misused. However, challenges were identified in implementing ICS, including a lack of staff training, inadequate technological infrastructure, and discrepancies between the planned budget and actual expenditures. Theory and Practical Implications - This study recommends strengthening staff training, enhancing technological infrastructure, and reinforcing internal control procedures to ensure optimal implementation of ICS. These steps are expected to improve financial governance in the public sector. Novelty - The novelty of this research lies in the approach that combines interviews with stakeholders and systematic literature review (SLR) to evaluate the implementation of the Internal Control System (SPI) in regional public companies, as well as identifying the challenges faced and providing recommendations to strengthen SPI in improving accountability and financial transparency in the public sector.
