Abstract

The progress of the times demands the active participation of all societal layers in the stream of technological advancements. This progress has given rise to the concept of a Smart City System. One manifestation of this smart city concept is the emergence of intelligent traffic light systems, often equipped with various sensors, including sound sensors. The use of sound sensors allows for the detection of emergency vehicle sirens. Among emergency vehicles, firefighting vehicles should be given the highest priority on the road. Based on this, the researchers developed a system using an Arduino UNO device. This system compares sirens' sounds with other noises and processes them to execute commands on the Arduino UNO. The utilization of the Mel-Frequency Cepstrum Coefficients (MFCC) and Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) algorithms as supporting decision-making components in the system has resulted in a recognition accuracy rate of 70%.

Abstract

"Asmalibration" is a song from the music group Soegi Bornean that has been released since 2019. In 2022, this song became popular on social media, especially TikTok and Instagram. After becoming popular, this song also became a debate on social media because the lyrics are difficult to understand. After all, it uses diction that is less known to the public. The purpose of this research is to find out the meaning of the components of love, namely intimacy, passion and commitment, and the types of love relationships contained in the lyrics and visuals in the video clip "Asmalibrasi" by Soegi Bornean. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic approach and Robert J Sternberg's love triangle theory as the supporting theory. The results showed that in the lyrics and visuals of the video clip, there are meanings in the components of intimacy, passion, and commitment and the type of love relationship that exists in the lyrics and visuals of Soegi Bornean's "Asmalibrasi" video clip is Consummate Love.

Abstract

Javanese is one of the most widely used regional languages in Indonesia. Apart from that, in several countries such as Suriname, the Netherlands and Malaysia, Javanese is used. The aim of this research is to create a translator application, allowing users to convert speech into written text. In creating a Speech to Text translation application, the Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithm has a major role. NLP algorithms are used to understand the structure of human language, recognize entities, and translate complex speech into readable text. This study discusses the design and development of a Speech to Text translator application using the NLP algorithm. This application uses deep learning models that have been trained to understand user language variations, accents and intonation.

Abstract

The Microbiology and Genetics Laboratory at the Faculty of Biology and Agriculture, National University, has a Laboratory Assistant who is technically responsible for managing various aspects of the laboratory. Laboratory management includes the administration of borrowing space, tools, books, as well as setting up the laboratory as a place for research and practicums. Administrative processes that are still manual cause delays in borrowing space, tools and books in the laboratory. To overcome this problem, this research aims to build a management information system (SIMLAB) that can help make laboratory assistants' tasks easier. System validation is carried out using the black box method. Chatbot system testing involves sentence similarity tests and word similarity test results. The test results show that if the similarity of sentences or words is more than 70%, the chatbot can identify questions and provide answers based on the dataset. However, if it is less than 70%, the chatbot will give the default answer "I don't understand the meaning of your question"

Abstract

This research aims to improve the efficiency of internet network performance at Bina Darma Foundation, which is experiencing request time out constraints due to non-optimal bandwidth usage, because there is no proper bandwidth management mechanism. The focus of the research is the application of the Peer Connection Queue (PCQ) method for automatic bandwidth distribution to all clients, combined with Simple Queue to provide max-limit and limit_at on each interface. Network performance evaluation is carried out before and after the application of the method, by paying attention to QoS parameters (throughput, delay, jitter, packet loss) and download/upload speed. From both combinations of methods, the results of this study show the success of the method in significantly improving network quality. Although there were changes in the QoS parameter values on some interfaces due to bandwidth limitation, the network quality category did not change. In fact, there was an improvement from "Good" to "Excellent" category in some cases. Although there were variations in download and upload speeds due to bandwidth allocation, the overall network quality remained "Excellent" based on the QoS parameters.

Abstract

In recent years, we have witnessed significant growth in digital banking transactions, supported by technological advancements. According to the latest data from the FinTech Association of Indonesia, digital banking transactions in Indonesia have increased by 35% from the previous year. In this context, the development of digital banking applications becomes increasingly important. However, to ensure the quality and success of these applications, feedback from users is crucial. One technique used by banks is sentiment analysis to gather feedback on their digital applications. This research aims to analyze user sentiment for two banking applications, DbankPro and M-BCA, through reviews on the Google Playstore. The method used is CRISP-DM, implementing the "Imbalance Data Handling with SMOTE" technique and LSTM model. The test results show the accuracy of sentiment analysis for M-BCA is 91.07%, while for DbankPro it is 89.82%. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of paying attention to user feedback in the development of digital banking applications to enhance their quality and meet user expectations

Abstract

Please Be Quiet is a movie that reflects cases of sexual harassment in the workplace that refers to a series of events carried out by the perpetrator and his threats, which result in psychological harm to victims and witnesses of sexual harassment. This research aims to find out, analyze, and describe how sexual harassment in the work environment experienced by Putri and Sarah as the sole eyewitnesses of sexual harassment in the film Please Be Quiet. This research uses Tzvetan Todorov's narrative analysis model. Research results from 17 scenes that have been analyzed show that the film Please Be Quiet is a representation of social reality where women as beings who are vulnerable to sexual harassment have a weak position in the work environment. Victims often feel insecure and afraid, they are worried that they will experience bad treatment in the office especially if their boss is a boss who has great power in the workplace. This power makes the employee afraid of losing their job and the career they have built.

Abstract

PT XYZ requires a system to automatically validate items in storage with the system. Cardboard boxes containing items exhibit high visual similarity within a specific sub-category. Several studies have demonstrated the use of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) as a method for image classification with a Fine Grained Image Classification (FGIC) approach for classifying data with high similarity, resulting in good accuracy, and this will be applied in this research. The ResNet architecture is used with and without ImageNet weight initialization, combined with the RMCSAM architecture, resulting in eight training configurations. Based on testing results using 172 images across 14 classes, the ResNet + RMCSAM configuration with ImageNet weight initialization and the 20 times augmentation dataset achieves the highest accuracy compared to other configurations, with an accuracy of 99.42% and a loss of 0.0004. This configuration is utilized for cardboard classification in the PT XYZ warehouse.

Abstract

Along with the development of social media, twitter is one of the social media that becomes a place to exchange information and interact with each other. Currently, autobase accounts are often used by users to find information on certain topics. One of these autobase accounts is @ohmybeautybank which discusses topics around beauty such as make up, skincare, and also outfits. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an effect of exposure to twitter social media @ohmybeautybank on the consumptive behavior of followers as evidenced by the uses and effects theory. This research uses quantitative methods, the sample was taken by purposive sampling method using the slovin formula as many as 100 of the 1,467,875 followers of the @ohmybeautybank account. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and literature studies. The results of the analysis in this study can be concluded that Social Media Exposure on Twitter @ohmybeautybank has a significant influence on Followers' Consumptive Behavior as seen from the results of the t test where the tcount> ttable value (8.882> 1.660) with sig. 0.000 and an r square value of 44.6% while the remaining 55.4% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

Digital Communication is also utilized by various parties, including the Baitul Maal BRILiaN. This study aims to understand the effectiveness of applying digital communication in the form of a web or app that can be accessed anytime and anywhere to collect donations (collect) and then redirect the donations to the right people. This study adopted a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were taken from interviews and literature reviews related to the title of this research paper. The results of this study show that the effectiveness of implementing digital communications in the fundraising activities of the Baitul Maal BRILiaN Foundation was assessed using effectiveness indicators, such as whether the project objectives, project outreach, project objectives, and project monitoring were effective. The community, especially those who are the program's primary target, can donate anytime and anywhere as long as they are connected to the internet.
