Abstract

Puskesmas Kampus Palembang still relies on a conventional medical record system, making it vulnerable to cyberattacks and delays in administrative processes, particularly BPJS claims. This study aims to design and implement a web-based medical record management system by applying blockchain technology to enhance patient data security, privacy, and interoperability. The research method employed Rapid Application Development (RAD) consisting of requirement planning, design, implementation, and testing phases. Functional testing using blackbox testing showed that the system operated as required, storing patient data in a MySQL database while generating SHA-256 hashes recorded in the Ethereum blockchain via smart contracts. This implementation ensures the integrity and validity of medical data while improving the efficiency of healthcare services at Puskesmas Kampus Palembang.

Abstract

This study Research This study analyzes the social criticism discourse presented by female comedians in the Adu Cuanda x TAYTB Women Warriors program on OCBC YouTube, placing digital media as a space for women's advocacy and empowerment. Based on Judith Butler's theory of gender performativity and Rodney H. Jones et al.'s analysis of digital discourse, this study highlights aspects of text, context, interaction, and power relations and ideology. The results show that the comedians raise issues of gender, culture, family, economics, politics, morals, and religion, including stereotypes, objectification, subordination, double burdens, socio-economic inequality, and religious and mental health stigma. These findings confirm that stand-up comedy functions as a medium for social criticism and empowerment, while YouTube serves as an inclusive digital space for the struggle for gender equality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the branding strategies of three premium coffee shops in Surabaya—Drama Coffee, Alura Coffee, and Coffee at Louis—using Keller’s Customer-Based Brand Equity (CBBE) framework. The CBBE model consists of four main stages: brand salience, brand meaning, brand response, and brand resonance. A qualitative descriptive method was applied, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and literature review. The findings indicate that all three coffee shops successfully built consumer-based brand equity but employed different approaches. Drama Coffee emphasizes storytelling and a relaxed atmosphere as a space for emotional expression, Alura Coffee highlights a warm and aesthetic “second home” identity, while Coffee at Louis focuses on delivering an authentic “Australian-style coffee experience” with premium quality. The key similarity lies in the consistency of brand identity and the use of Instagram as the main branding channel, while the differences emerge in each shop’s unique positioning according to its target market. This research underscores the importance of differentiated branding strategies in fostering consumer loyalty and emotional attachment.

Abstract

This study examines the application of UI/UX principles to the "Journeys" mobile application to improve accessibility for MSMEs in the tourism sector, using the User-Centered Design (UCD) approach. Digital transformation in today's era offers great opportunities for MSMEs to promote their products and services to a wider audience. The UCD methodology, supported by the User-Based Collaborative Filtering system, is the core of designing an application that is aligned with user needs. The research phase involved user surveys and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) to explore needs, which were then manifested in user personas and customer journey mapping. The UI/UX design was prototyped with Figma, resulting in intuitive interfaces for the welcome screen, login, user profile, as well as destination exploration, social interaction, and itinerary planning features. The "My Ratings" and "Forge Your Route" features demonstrate a commitment to usability principles and community-based content integration. The "Journeys" application is expected to encourage the digital growth of tourism MSMEs and expand their market reach, support the development of local tourism human resources and the effectiveness of digital promotion. Evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) showed an average score of 90,75 placing the application in the "Excellent" category and confirming its ease of use.

Abstract

Delays in tuition payments by students pose a serious challenge to the financial stability of universities. This problem is often exacerbated by the suboptimal use of available flexible payment schemes due to the lack of information received by students and inefficient administrative processes. This study aims to design and build a prototype application called “Pakars Validation” as a technological solution for managing student receivables, particularly at the postgraduate level. This application is designed to mitigate credit risk by focusing on two main aspects: identifying student eligibility administratively and academically through a rule-based knowledge base, and increasing their financial awareness regarding payment obligations. By adopting the Research and Development method and the Waterfall System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model, this prototype was developed with a client-server architecture. This system integrates academic and financial data to run an inference engine that automatically evaluates student status. In addition, an automated email communication system was implemented as a mediating variable to efficiently convey billing information, deadlines, and payment restructuring options. The result of this research is a functional prototype model that can be a tool for college management in conducting risk assessments in a more systematic, consistent, and accurate manner. The “Pakars Validation” design is expected to not only reduce the level of bad debt, but also provide practical contributions to educational institutions in designing more effective and data-driven financial communication strategies.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology requires companies to manage corporate communication more effectively, efficiently, and data-driven. This study aims to analyze the impact of implementing the Digital Media Center (DMC) on the effectiveness of corporate communication at PT United Tractors Pandu Engineering (UTPE). The research was conducted from July to September 2023, involving five key informants from the Corporate Communication Division. A qualitative approach was employed through observation, in-depth interviews, and literature review, with thematic analysis used to identify patterns and meanings from the interview data. The findings show that DMC enhances work efficiency, data accuracy, and coordination among Internal, External, and Brand Communication sub-divisions through an integrated digital system. DMC also supports data-driven strategic decision-making through analytic dashboards and automated reporting. The success of DMC implementation is influenced by management support, data readiness, internal technical capability, and cross-divisional collaboration. The novelty of this study lies in developing DMC as the first integrated corporate communication system at UTPE, adopting the AMEC framework for measuring communication effectiveness. Theoretically, this research enriches the study of organizational digital communication, while practically, it provides a model for implementing data-driven communication systems in companies undergoing digital transformation. These findings extend the application of digital organizational communication theory by demonstrating how integrated data-based communication systems can strengthen evidence-based decision-making processes in Indonesian manufacturing companies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the public reception of the police image in the song “Bayar Bayar Bayar” by the band Sukatani among Jakarta residents, using Stuart Hall’s encoding-decoding analysis. The song gained public attention for addressing issues of extortion, bribery, and abuse of power often associated with the police’s negative image. This research employs a qualitative method through in-depth interviews with 12 informants from various backgrounds. The analysis reveals two reception positions: dominant-hegemonic and negotiated. In the dominant-hegemonic position, the public fully accepts the song’s message as a reflection of social reality. In the negotiated position, the public acknowledges the existence of extortion practices but rejects generalizing such behavior to the entire institution, attributing it instead to individual misconduct. No oppositional position was found. The findings conclude that “Bayar Bayar Bayar” functions more as a reinforcement and affirmation of the police’s negative image rather than as a creator of a new one. The song reflects public unease while also opening a space for criticism toward the police institution.

Abstract

This study aims to understand how Generation Z perceives mental health messages on social media and how these perceptions relate to self-diagnosis tendencies. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the research involved seven active users of TikTok and X who had previously self-diagnosed after engaging with mental health-related content. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and content observation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman model. The findings reveal that mental health messages are interpreted emotionally and contextually, shaped more by personal experience than professional knowledge. The novelty of this study lies in integrating social perception theory to explain how Gen Z constructs meaning from digital messages while highlighting the mediating role of media literacy in self-diagnosis. The results contribute theoretically to digital health communication studies and offer a foundation for designing empathetic and evidence-based communication strategies on social media platforms.

Abstract

Environmental issues such as pollution, waste, and climate change demand collective awareness. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 13 (Climate Action), emphasize adaptation, mitigation, and climate literacy. In the digital era, TikTok has proven effective in disseminating sustainability messages. This study analyzes the representation of climate action on the @pandawaragroup account using a descriptive qualitative approach and a case study method. Fifteen videos were purposively selected based on high engagement and relevance to Climate Action indicators. Content analysis was conducted through stages of selection, analysis, interpretation, and conclusion, combined with interactive analysis to understand meaning and social context. The results show that @pandawaragroup’s content aligns with the targets of Climate Action, particularly by depicting environmental crises such as floods caused by waste accumulation, educating the public on waste management, and encouraging community participation in clean-up activities. The representation of climate action is also reflected through collaborations with communities and government institutions in mitigation efforts and environmental preservation campaigns. The use of simple and emotional communication effectively raises awareness among younger generations, expands sustainable public advocacy, and encourages community participation in local environmental actions.

Abstract

Errors in the use of Q-Code in NOTAM publication can lead to miscommunication of information, which may negatively impact flight safety and operational efficiency. This study aims to analyze the factors causing Q-Code errors in NOTAM issued by the Notam Office Indonesia and to evaluate the impact and solutions to these problems. The research applies a qualitative approach through interviews with AIS personnel at the Notam Office Indonesia and an analysis of NOTAM documents that indicate potential Q-Code errors. . The findings show that the errors occur due to several factors, including limitations in the Q-Code reference within the Navgate application and incomplete or unclear raw data submissions from NOTAM originators. These errors result in stakeholder misinterpretation, disruptions to flight operations, and a decline in NOTAM data quality. As a form of mitigation, it is recommended to update the Q- Code database in Navgate and strengthen coordination between NOTAM proposing units and the Notam Office Indonesia. With these improvements, the overall quality of NOTAM can be enhanced to better support aviation safety.
