Abstract

As more muslim populations adopt halal lifestyles, the halal industry's growth is still on the rise. The tourism industry has become more aware of halal products, which are no longer limited to food and drink items. Indonesia has emerged as the top-ranked halal travel destination among the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) nations, according to the 2023 Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI). Lampung province is one of the thirteen (13) provinces in Indonesia that have been developed to become halal tourism attractions. One of the key industries in Lampung Province that promotes the economic development of the area is tourism. The application of religion and CHSE can make travelers more interested in visiting these places again. The higher the interest of tourists in visiting again, the greater the potential for economic growth in the community. This research aims to determine and analyze the effect of CHSE implementation on the potential economic growth of halal tourism with an interest in returning as a moderating variable. This research uses a quantitative approach with an associative type. This research was conducted at the Liwa Botanical Gardens, West Lampung Regency, in September 2023. The population in this study were all tourists who had visited the Liwa Botanical Gardens, West Lampung Regency, with a sample of 132 people. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire using Google Form media. Data analysis in this research uses smartPLS (Partial Least Squares). The results of this research show that there is an influence of CHSE implementation on interest in returning to visit. Meanwhile, the indirect interaction test results showed that interest in returning to visit was able to significantly moderate the relationship between CHSE implementation and potential economic growth. The results of this research will provide input for the regional government to create policies regarding regulations for tourist visitors in West Lampung Regency so that tourism can increase regional income for West Lampung Regency.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of effectiveness of workforce training and the motivation of its participants, as well as to assess the influence of participants' motivation on the training effectiveness at the Workforce Training Center in Pekanbaru City. The sample was selected using a proportional random sampling technique, comprising 104 respondents who participated in the training program at the Workforce Training Center. The data were analyzed using a descriptive method, and a quantitative approach with a simple linear regression equation was employed to measure the influence of the studied variables. The results indicate that participants' motivation at the training center generally falls below the good category. This is attributed to the participants' lack of awareness of the need for personal achievement in their lives, often relying on their parents for responsibility. Notably, participants from outside Pekanbaru exhibit better learning motivation. Additionally, the training effectiveness is also not rated as good, as evidenced by the participants' limited positive reactions during the program, resulting in unachieved behavioral changes and training goals. Hypothesis testing confirms that participants' motivation significantly influences training effectiveness at the Workforce Training Center.

Abstract

This research was conducted to identify whether the problem of weak coordination and government cooperation in eradicating and preventing money laundering in the forestry sector is solely due to the suboptimal role of the government or whether the suboptimal role is also contributed by the private sector/corporations and NGOs that only work according to the orders of funders. The method used in this research is a qualitative method, namely data collection through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and in-depth interviews. The results of the research show that the unoptimized handling of forestry ML so far is due to integrated governance in handling forestry ML that has not gone well. It is not enough to handle forestry ML using Emerson, Nabatchi and Balogh's (2012) theory on integrated governance. The research found that resources are an important factor that must be addressed prior to the start of integrated governance in handling forestry ML. Resources are not specifically described in Emerson, Nabatchi and Balogh's theory.
