Abstract

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) play an important role in national economic growth. Many SMEs in Indonesia produce packaged snacks, but not many of them use social media marketing effectively. This study aimed to examine the influence of the elements of social media marketing (SMM), which consist of attractiveness, trendiness, interaction, customization, information clarity on brand authenticity, and its impact on consumer preference, particularly on local snack brands produced by SMEs. The research model was modified from previous research and empirically tested with data from consumers of the local snack brand who viewed its Instagram social media in Indonesia. This research was carried out by a quantitative survey with cross-sectional data. Respondent data was taken purposively with a questionnaire instrument. A total of  210 respondents met the requirements and the data was analyzed through PLS-SEM. The results showed that the six antecedents of brand authenticity from social media marketing were found to have a significant and positive influence. Predominantly influence was found in trendiness and attractiveness content,  Brand authenticity demonstrated a significant direct impact on brand preference and mediated the SMM to brand preference. The findings of this study also show that brand authenticity can be adequately measured by its four dimensions, namely symbolism, continuity, integrity, and credibility. Further, this study encourages the local snack brands which are produced mostly by small and medium enterprises to pay attention to their branding, whereas SMEs can utilize brand authenticity as a differentiating tool.

Abstract

This research addresses the inefficiencies in proposing maintenance budgets for optimizing the utilization of Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) spare parts. The primary objective is to analyze the calculation methodology for establishing an ideal standard budget for AWOS maintenance, considering various influencing factors. Employing an applied research method with a qualitative approach, data for the study are derived from interviews and literature studies. The findings reveal that several factors impact the standard budget, encompassing the number of technicians, duration of maintenance, geographical location, transportation, accommodation, daily allowances, type of damage, and the nature of maintenance (preventive/corrective). The standard budget calculation is grounded in maintenance service costs, official travel expenditures, and spare parts procurement costs. Service fees for third-party maintenance are determined through collaborative contracts, while official travel costs align with predetermined standard input expenses. Replacement costs for spare parts are based on UPT reports, expert recommendations, historical maintenance records, priority scaling, and budgetary constraints. The ongoing development of a spare parts analysis method, factoring in these considerations, indicates that the optimal procurement for data logger spare parts is 8 units, with a 90% confidence level for all of Indonesia. This approach aims to ensure AWOS functionality aligns with its technical life (reliability), ease of repair in the event of failure (maintainability), and consistent proper operation (availability).

Abstract

Economic growth is a serious concern for a region because it is a measuring tool to determine its economic condition and what policies must be taken. Many factors influence the increase in economic growth. In this study, the effect of regional development bank (BPD) performance was examined, namely related to lending, collection of third-party funds (DPK), and profitability on economic growth. The research method used was panel data regression. The results of this study show that only the variables of credit distribution have a positive and significant effect on economic growth. The results of this study are expected to be useful inputs for both local governments and BPD in increasing economic growth. This research implies that there is a need for positive collaboration and synergy between local governments and BPD, especially in terms of lending to the community which is expected to stimulate purchasing power, encourage trade and investment so that it can provide a multiplier effect on economic growth.
