Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of mass media coverage, social media content, consumer complaints, Risk Based Capital (RBC), and the ratio of claim expenses to life insurance premium income in Indonesia. The findings show that mass media coverage has no significant effect, while social media content with negative sentiment has a significant negative impact on premium income. Consumer complaints have no effect, but RBC has a positive effect and the claims expense ratio has a negative effect on revenue. In conclusion, even though mass media coverage is not significant, social media content has a big impact. High RBC levels and efficient claims management are important to maintain the stability of an insurance company's financial performance. Practical implications, insurance companies must strengthen communication strategies, especially on social media, as well as improve risk and claims management to maintain stable financial performance.

Abstract

Fraud prevention by local governments is essential to fulfill the mandate of Law Number 28 of 1999 in establishing a governance system free from corruption, collusion, and nepotism. Fraud prevention encompasses several objectives, including prevention, deterrence, disruption, identification, and civil action prosecution. This study aims to identify the factors influencing fraud prevention within the Indragiri Hulu district government. The research focuses on organizational units (OPD) within the district government, using a purposive sampling method with a sample of 169 respondents. The findings indicate that governance plays a significant role in fraud prevention, supported by compliance with accounting regulations, the competency of government apparatus, and the implementation of effective risk management practices. These factors collectively contribute to enhancing the capacity of the local government to prevent fraud. The study underscores the importance of governance structures, adherence to financial rules, skills development among government personnel, and risk management as critical elements for achieving transparent and accountable administration. This research provides valuable insights for policymakers and public administrators in strengthening institutional frameworks and practices to reduce the risk of fraud, promoting a cleaner and more efficient public sector.

Abstract

The work process is influenced by various factors, such as leadership, motivation, and employee performance, all of which impact a company's productivity. At Aerofood ACS Surabaya, a decline in labor productivity has been observed, prompting the author to conduct an in-depth study on the contributing factors. This research adopts a quantitative approach to examine the effects of leadership behavior, work skills, and motivation on employee productivity at Aerofood ACS Surabaya. The data analysis revealed no issues of multicollinearity or singularity, as indicated by a determinant of the sample covariance matrix of 978.20, which is greater than zero. This fulfills the necessary assumption, strengthening confidence in the regression coefficients for each factor, as validated by the causality test. The findings indicate that leadership behavior does not have a direct impact on employability, while work motivation directly affects work efficiency. In conclusion, leadership behavior, work abilities, and motivation collectively influence productivity levels, making a significant contribution to understanding these dynamics.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of the merit system in the Pekanbaru City Government using qualitative research methods. The findings indicate that the implementation of the merit system is characterized by both progress and challenges. While the system intends to modernize civil service management by focusing on qualifications, competencies, and performance, there are still significant areas for improvement. Although the civil service management system (SIMPEG) in Pekanbaru can process real-time data, it is not fully integrated with performance assessments, disciplinary actions, or career development processes. The e-performance system remains isolated, complicating the integration of personnel data for benefits and career growth. Furthermore, electronic documentation services are only partially digitized, and there is inadequate integration with the National Personnel Information System (SIMPEGNAS) managed by BKN. The planning and development of SIMPEG are ongoing, with many plans being short-term and incomplete. Addressing these issues requires a more comprehensive and long-term strategy, along with the establishment of technical policies to guide SIMPEG integration. Overcoming these challenges is crucial for enhancing civil service management and achieving improved governance and public service outcomes.

Abstract

Accountability and transparency are essential requirements for public institutions to gain public trust, which can be achieved through the implementation of e-government initiatives such as the electronic Government Agency Performance Accountability System (e-SAKIP). Although e-SAKIP aims to facilitate the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of government agency performance, its implementation still faces several technical and human resource challenges that need to be addressed to achieve optimal effectiveness. This research aims to analyze the causes of ineffectiveness and inhibiting factors in the use of the e-SAKIP application, as well as examine efforts to improve its effectiveness in monitoring and evaluating performance at the Surabaya Religious High Court. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with primary data from structured and in-depth interviews with informants selected through purposive sampling, as well as secondary data from related documents. Data analysis uses thematic analysis techniques with source and method triangulation to enhance validity. The research results at the Surabaya Religious High Court show that the implementation of the e-SAKIP application faces various challenges that hinder its effectiveness. The main issues include feature incompatibility, technical and infrastructure constraints, lack of training, data accuracy problems, coordination difficulties, increased workload, and concerns related to system transparency and sustainability. To address these issues, comprehensive efforts are needed, including feature adjustments, infrastructure improvements, continuous training, enhancing data accuracy, optimizing coordination and workload, and implementing effective change management. The implementation of these measures is expected to improve the effectiveness of e-SAKIP in enhancing overall institutional performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of price, product quality, and digital marketing on the repurchase interest of the environmentally friendly detergent 'So Soft,' with customer loyalty as an intervening variable. The research was conducted in Sidoarjo District, Sidoarjo Regency, with respondents aged 17-45 years. The research method used is quantitative, with data collection through a questionnaire distributed online via Google Forms, resulting in a sample of 100 respondents. Primary data collection in this study used a Likert Scale questionnaire distribution technique. Data analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS with SmartPLS software. The findings reveal that price, product quality, and digital marketing have a positive and significant effect on purchase interest, both directly and through customer loyalty as a mediating variable. This finding emphasizes the importance of an integrated marketing strategy that considers these three aspects to enhance customer loyalty and encourage purchase interest. The company should focus on competitive pricing, improving product quality, and implementing effective digital marketing strategies to build strong customer loyalty. High customer loyalty, in turn, will increase consumer purchase interest. The study also highlights the crucial role of customer loyalty as a bridge between the company's marketing strategies and consumer purchasing behavior, underscoring the importance of building long-term relationships with customers as a key to business success.
