Abstract

Investment has become a crucial part of modern economic life. Over time, there has been an increase in investment participation, along with several challenges related to investor behavior. This study aims to examine the impact of overconfidence on investment decision-making, analyzed using a descriptive qualitative research method through a literature review within a behavioral finance perspective. Overconfidence is a condition of excessive belief in one’s abilities and knowledge, often causing investors to overlook actual risks and have unrealistic return expectations. This phenomenon can lead to mistakes in risk management and suboptimal investment decisions. The study finds that overconfidence is frequently experienced by Generation Z, who have quick and easy access to information and financial markets through digital platforms. The study concludes that overconfidence has a significant impact on investment decisions and may result in long-term losses. To mitigate the negative effects of overconfidence, investors are advised to be aware of their cognitive biases and adopt a data-driven approach in their decision-making.

The population studied consisted of all female nurses working at the hospital, with a total of 117 people. Using the total sampling method, all members of the population were sampled in this study. Data analysis was carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach through Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that incentives have a significant positive effect on nurse performance, while role conflict has a significant negative effect on performance. In addition, job stress has a significant positive effect on turnover intention. The study also found that spiritual intelligence plays a moderating role in the effect of incentives on turnover intention, but has no moderating effect in the relationship between job stress and turnover intention. Abstract

The monetary child poverty gap in Indonesia shows significant disparities between provinces, especially in eastern Indonesia. This phenomenon hinders the achievement of SDGs and has implications for the quality of long-term human development. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the level of monetary child poverty in Indonesia using panel data from 34 provinces for the period 2019-2022. The analysis method uses panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach, based on secondary data from BPS, by analyzing eleven covariates to identify significant determinants of monetary child poverty. The estimation results show five variables that have a significant effect: birth certificate ownership, internet use for school, Human Development Index, regional economic growth, and labor force participation. Meanwhile, the variables of child labor, Gini ratio, out-of-school rate for 7-12 year olds, preschool level, and PIP recipients at elementary and junior high school levels do not show a significant effect. These findings imply the need for an integrated reformulation of child poverty alleviation policies, focusing on strengthening the population administration system, digital transformation of education, improving the quality of human development, and optimizing inclusive economic growth.

The findings indicate that digital literacy and certification positively influence SMEs sustainability. However, innovation did not show a positive effect on SMEs' sustainability. Furthermore, financial inclusion was found not to moderate the relationship between digital literacy and innovation concerning SMEs sustainability, but it did strengthen the relationship between certification and SMEs sustainability.

Abstract

The circular economy-based waste management at TPS3R (Waste Management Center with Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Approach) offers significant potential in reducing waste and creating economic value. This study analyzes the potential of the circular economy in waste management at TPS3R Bungo Lintas, focusing on operational efficiency and economic impact. The study employs a mixed-methods approach with an explanatory sequential design, where quantitative data is analyzed first to measure operational efficiency and economic impact, followed by qualitative interviews to deepen the quantitative findings. The results show that TPS3R’s operational efficiency increased from 58.33% in 2021 to 61.11% in 2023, exceeding the minimum waste reduction target of 50%. The economic impact is measured through a cost-benefit ratio (BCR), showing a value greater than 1, with a net value of Rp4,345,000.00, indicating that TPS3R provides positive economic benefits. The challenges faced include a lack of public understanding of the circular economy concept, limited managerial knowledge of TPS3R operations, waste processing technology, and stakeholder policy support. Nevertheless, the potential for economic development through expanding community participation, selling recycled products, and the wider adoption of technologies such as maggot bioconversion offers new opportunities to increase TPS3R’s revenue. These findings highlight the importance of policy support, technology, public education, and improved management of TPS3R to strengthen the sustainability of the circular economy model at the local level.

Abstract

This research focuses on individual taxpayers, who are often overlooked in tax studies that focus more on companies. Thus, this research offers a new perspective in analyzing individual taxpayer compliance in the digital era. This study provides empirical testing of tax service quality and its relationship with taxpayer compliance, which previously may not have been explored in depth with quantitative methods and was linked to demographic variables and digitalization. The research was conducted on individual taxpayers at the Pratama Gianyar-Bali Tax Service Office (KPP). The number of respondents used as research samples was 180 people. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. This research uses SEM (structural equation modeling) Partial Last Square (PLS) data analysis techniques with SmartPLS 4.0. The research results show that demographic factors do not significantly influence taxpayer awareness and compliance. Meanwhile, digitalization of tax reporting and tax authorities services has a positive and significant influence on taxpayer awareness and compliance. The results of this research also show that taxpayer awareness is able to partially mediate the influence of demographics and digitalization of tax reporting on taxpayer compliance.
