PERDIKAN journal focuses on community engagement program and the manuscript is about applied knowledge or science in community to advance theories, research and practices related to all forms of outreach and engagement. Community engagement means services to society, applying of knowledge or science and technology based on their field, increasing the capacity of society and community empowerment. The PERDIKAN journal draws on existing issues from those varieties of field. This includes highlighting innovation of community empowerment, and reporting on engaged research, community-based research, action research, and community services, as well as improving the knowledge and practice in the field of purposive community engagement. The aim of this journal publication is to disseminate the conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the area of community services. PERDIKAN particularly focuses on the main problems in the development of the sciences of community services areas as follows:1) Community Services, People/Society, and Local Food; 2) Less Developed Region; 3) Student Community Services; 4) Training for Sustainable Development; 5) Community Empowerment, Social Access possiblity, including Environmental Issues.

Abstract

Since the Covid-19 pandemic come to Indonesia, all of the education activity was doing at home. Transition learning activities from school to home is becoming heavy homework that was felt by all parents. The reason is that most parents do not understand the appropriate learning strategies for their children because what has been done so far is by using conventional methods of parenting. The best care for children is not an easy process in which parents need knowledge of parenting skills (the ability to raise children). Hypnoparenting training is one of the developments in parenting skills development because it becomes the basic foundation for parents to build the best care for their children. The training is carried out through several stages, including (1) preparation for the implementation of training in the form of an agreement on the implementation time, (2) implementation of hypnotherapy training with approximately 50 participants consisting of RA teacher parents (3) evaluation stage, the evaluation is to see the effectiveness of the implementation of hypnoparenting training. Through hypnoparenting training, parents gain knowledge of parenting skills from an early age by involving the child's subconscious to become an effective parenting model. The training activities carried out on three May 2020 had a positive impact on increasing parents' motivation in developing fun online learning activities at home during the Covid-19 pandemic.(Semenjak wabah Covid-19 memerangi Indonesia semua aktifitas pendidikan dilakukan dirumah, transisi kegiatan belajar mengajar dari sekolah ke rumah menjadi PR berat yang dirasakan semua orang tua. Pasalnya Sebagian besar orang tua belum memahami strategi pembelajaran yang tepat bagi anaknya, karena yang selama ini dilakukan adalah dengan cara pengasuhan metode konvensional. Pengasuhan yang terbaik bagi anak bukan suatu proses yang mudah dalam menjalankannya orang tua membutuhkan pengetahuan tentang aspek parenting skill (kemampuan mengasuh anak). Pelatihan hypnoparenting salah satu perkembangan pengetahuan di dunia parenting skill, karena hal ini menjadi pondasi dasar bagi para orang tua guna membangun pengasuhan terbaik untuk anak. Pelatihan yang dilakukan melalui beberapa proses tahapan diantaranya adalah (1) persiapan pelaksanaan pelatihan berupa perjanjian kesepakatan waktu dilaksanakannya,(2) pelaksanaan pelatihan hypnoterapi dengan peserta kurang lebih 50 orang terdiri dari orang tua guru RA (3) tahapan evaluasi, evaluasi yang dilakukan adalah melihat keefektifan pelaksanaan pelatihan hypnoparenting. Melalui pelatihan hypnoparenting orang tua memperoleh pengetahuan keterampilan mengasuh anak sejak dini dengan melibatkan alam bawah sadar anak sehingga menjadi model pengasuhan yang efektif. Kegiatan pelatihan yang dilaksanakan tiga mei 2020 memiliki dampak positif terhadap peningkatan motivasi orang tua dalam mengembangkan kegiatan pembelajaran online dirumah secara menyenangkan pada masa pandemi Covid-19).

Abstract

This strengthening activity aims to optimize Early Child Education (Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini/ PAUD) institutions. The use of the STEAM approach in Early Childhood Education is carried out appropriately in the learning process in Early Childhood Education. The activity was carried out by involving 24 Kindergarten teachers in Integrated Islamic Kindergarten (TKIT) Nurul Hidayah Sampang with material on the concept and implementation of STEAM-based Early Childhood Education learning. Implementing this service program can be stated that strengthening the Early Childhood Education unit with a STEAM-based learning approach in 21st-century education is very important to do. By collaborating methods that have been mastered by many teachers and utilizing existing media in the environment, thereby maximizing the learning process.(Tujuan kegiatan penguatan ini adalah untuk mengoptimalkan lembaga PAUD dalam pelaksanaan pendekatan STEAM di PAUD sehingga terlaksana pembelajaran dengan pendekatan STEAM secara tepat pada proses pembelajaran di PAUD. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan melibatkan 24 orang guru Taman Kanak-kanak yang ada di Islam Terpadu (TKIT) Nurul Hidayah Sampang dengan materi konsep dan implementasi pembelajaran Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini berbasis STEAM. Hasil dari pelaksanaan program pengabdian ini dapat dinyatakan bahwa penguatan satuan paud dengan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis STEAM dalam pendidikan abad 21 ini sangat penting dilakukan dengan cara mengkolaborasikan metode yang telah banyak dikuasai oleh guru-guru dan memanfaatkan media yang ada dilingkungan, sehingga memaksimalkan proses pembelajaran)

Abstract

Madura has a long coastline and a hot, dry season, which has made Madura one of the largest producers of salty white gold or salt in Indonesia, which has earned Madura the nickname Pulau Garam (The Island of Salt). Of course, as the largest salt producer, this fact makes Madura has long and large salt ponds. This is the primary basis to be used as a locus of community service research. It is the use of salt pond mud as an ingredient for salting eggs, which will impact the minimum cost of materials for the community. The method used in this service is based on Participatory Action Research (PAR). The result is that the mud from the salt ponds that comes from salt deposits in the form of mud, which is usually discarded by the pond's farmers, can be used as a salting material for duck eggs, which are usually made from a mixture of soil with salt. The trials conducted by researchers and the regional society regarding the use of salt pond mud to become one of the useful ingredients for coastal communities to make salted eggs, so this is also beneficial for the minimal capital in making salted eggs. The results of salted eggs by utilizing the salt pond mud are quite good and sieve for consumption. Besides that, the abundant material of salt pond mud in the coastal areas of Madura is an alternative material for making salted eggs. The community can use salt pond mud as the main ingredient for making salted eggs.(Madura yang mempunyai garis pantai yang panjang dan mempunyai musim kemarau yang panas menjadikan Madura sebagai salah satu penghasil emas putih yang asin atau garam terbesar di Indonesia, ha ini yang menjadikan Madura mendapat julukan sebagai pulau garam. Tentu, sebagai penghasil garam terbesar, fakta ini menjadikan madura pemilik tambak garam yang panjang dan besar. Hal ini manjadi dasar utama untuk dijadikan locus penelitian pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Diantaranya pemanfaatan lumpur tambak garam sebagai bahan pengasinan telor asir yang akan berdampak pada minimalnya biaya bahan untuk masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini berbasis Participatory action research (PAR). Hasilnya Lumpur dari tambak garam yang berasal dari endapan garam berupa lumpur yang biasanya di buang oleh para petani tambak bisa di manfaatkan sebagai bahan pengasin telur bebek yang biasanya terbuat dari campuran tanah yang diberi garam. Hasil uji coba yang dilakukan oleh peneliti dan masyarakat tentang pemanfaatan lumpur tambak garam untuk menjadi salah satun bahan yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat pesisir untuk membuat telor asin, sehingga ini juga bermanfaat terhadap semakin minimalnya modal dalam pembuatan telor asin. Hasil telor asin dengan memanfaatkan lumpur tambak garam cukup baik dan ayak untuk di konsumsi selain itu bahan lumpur lumpur tambak garam yang melimpah di daerah pesisir madura menjadi bahan alternatif dalam membuat telor asin. Masyarakat dapat memanfaatkan lumpur tambak garam sebagai bahan utama membuat telor asin).

Abstract

Career planning is an essential aspect of individual career development. Skills in making career decisions are the main goals of career planning that every individual must take. Furthermore, career decisions taken by individuals cannot be separated from considerations of self-identity and social, which are a source of value and a place where various things are available individuals can use that for their development. In fact, not all individuals are capable of planning a career. Including the final year students at the Al-Kautsar Pamekasan Islamic Boarding School. The ability of the final year students to prepare for their careers is still low. This can be seen from the various problems that have arisen in relation to the choice of the type of further study, the choice of a job plan, and those related to the unpreparedness of high school graduates to enter further education. Therefore, it is necessary to make efforts to assist students in planning their future careers, one of which is through career guidance services packaged in Community Service. In the implementation of these activities, participants seemed enthusiastic about participating in activities that were marked by actively discussing career planning. The continuity of the implementation of this activity, namely ongoing assistance and consultation. (Perencanaan karier merupakan salah satu aspek yang penting dalam perkembangan karier individu. Kecakapan dalam mengambil keputusan karier merupakan tujuan utama dari perencanaan karier yang harus ditempuh oleh setiap individu. Selanjutnya, keputusan karier yang diambil individu tidak lepas dari pertimbangan identitas diri dan sosial yang merupakan sumber nilai dan tempat tersedianya berbagai hal yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh individu bagi pengembangan dirinya. Faktanya, tidak semua individu mampu dalam merencanakan karier. Termasuk, pada santri tingkat akhir di Pondok Pesantren Al-Kautsar Pamekasan. Kemampuan santri tingkat akhir dalam mempersiapkan kariernya masih rendah. Hal ini tampak dari berbagai masalah yang muncul baik yang berkaitan dengan pemilihan jenis studi lanjutan, pemilihan rencana pekerjaan maupun yang berkaitan dengan ketidaksiapan para lulusan SMA dalam memasuki pendidikan lanjutan. Maka dari itu, perlu adanya upaya untuk membantu santri dalam merencanakan karier masa depannya, salah satunya yaitu melalui layanan bimbingan karier yang dikemas dalam Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat. Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan tersebut, peserta terlihat antusias mengikuti kegiatan yang ditandai dengan aktif berdiskusi tentang perencanaan kariernya. Abstract

An organization is built to achieve goals through a series of managerial activities, the lack of management knowledge about good organizational management through effective and efficient management is one of the factors for not achieving organizational goals properly. This community service activity aims to improve the managerial competence of students organization of Al-Falah Islamic boarding school. This activity is carried out with a discovery learning approach followed by discussion and practice. The activity results showed that the participants' enthusiasm was relatively high with the number of questions asked and increased participants' knowledge in organizational management. At the time of mentoring, participants were able to apply their knowledge in managing the organization so that it could be concluded that the managerial competence of the board of student organization of Al-Falah Islamic boarding school had increased. (Sebuah organisasi dibangun dan dijalankan untuk mencapai tujuan melalui serangkaian aktifitas manajerial, minimnya pengetahuan pengurus tentang pengelolaan organisasi yang baik melalui managemen yang efektif dan efisien menjadi salah satu faktor ketidaktercapaian tujuan organisasi dengan baik. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi manajerial pengurus organisasi santri pondok pesantren Al-Falah Sumenep. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan discovery learning kemudian dilanjutkan dengan diskusi dan praktik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukan bahwa antusiasme peserta cukup tinggi dengan banyaknya pertanyaan yang diajukan serta meningkatnya pengetahuan peserta dalam pengelolaan organisasi. Pada saat pendampingan, peserta sudah bisa mengaplikasikan pengetahuanya dalam mengelola organisasi sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa kompetensi manajerial pengurus organisasi santri Al-Falah meningkat).

Abstract

Arabic writing skills in the millennial era is very important. However, only a few children like and can read and write Arabic well. One of the activities that can develop and strengthen children's Al-Qur'an writing abilities and skills is by implementing basic Arabic writing learning activities. This article will discuss learning basic Arabic writing with the children and the benefits of learning it. This study was obtained based on data collected during the researcher's implementation of the SCSFH (Student Community Service From Home) program. One of the activities the researchers carried out was a basic Arabic writing learning program at Baitul Makmur Mosque, Konang Village, Galis, Pamekasan. In this lesson, we used basic Arabic writing teaching, such as teaching how to write Arabic letters, connecting Arabic letters, copying Arabic letters, and writing verses of the Qur'an. The methods used also vary, such as the dictation method, lectures, the imla' method, and other cooperative learning methods such as holding various competitions to determine how far the level of student understanding of what has been conveyed by the teacher. In this activity, it was found that many students' Arabic writing skills were still below average. Although some students are considered quite good at writing Arabic, and even then because the students concerned have stepped on the secondary education level, for more satisfying results, this basic level Arabic writing training activity should be carried out continuously and preserved to maintain children's Arabic writing skills and continue developing. (Keterampilan menulis Arab di era milenial merupakan hal yang sangat penting. Namun, hanya sedikit anak-anak yang menyukai dan bisa baca tulis Arab. Salah satu kegiatan yang bisa mengembangkan dan memperkokoh kemampuan dan keterampilan tulis Al-Qur’an anak-anak adalah dengan mengadakan kegiatan pembelajaran menulis Arab tingkat dasar. Artikel ini akan membahas proses pembelajaran menulis Arab tingkat dasar dan juga manfaat dari pembelajaran tersebut. Penelitian ini disusun berdasarkan data yang dikumpulkan selama peneliti melaksanakan program KPM DR (Kuliah Pengabdian Masyarakat Dari Rumah), dimana salah satu kegiatan yang penulis lakukan adalah mengadakan program pembelajaran menulis Arab tingkat dasar di Masjid Baitul Makmur, Desa Konang, Galis, Pamekasan. Dalam pembelajaran ini, kita menggunakan pengajaran dasar, seperti mengajar cara menulis huruf Arab, menyambung huruf-huruf Arab, menyalin lafaz Arab dan menulis lafaz atau ayat-ayat al-Qur’an. Metode yang digunakan juga bervariasi, seperti metode dikte, ceramah, metode imla’, dan juga metode pembelajaran kooperatif lainnya seperti diadakannya berbagai lomba untuk mengetahui sejauh mana tingkat pemahaman murid terhadap apa yang sudah disampaikan oleh pengajar. Dalam kegiatan ini ditemukan bahwa keterampilan menulis Arab murid masih banyak yang dibawah rata-rata. Walaupun ada beberapa murid yang sudah dirasa cukup baik dalam menulis Arab, itupun karena murid yang bersangkutan sudah menginjak tingkat pendidikan menengah. Untuk hasil yang lebih memuaskan kegiatan pelatihan menulis Arab tingkat dasar ini harusnya dilakukan secara terus menerus dan dilestarikan agar keterampilan menulis Arab anak tetap terjaga dan terus berkembang).

Abstract

The lack of awareness of the importance of literacy activities in the community, especially in literature, creates backwardness in literacy. Therefore, the literacy activities need to be introduced and encouraged to raise new generations for the world of literacy to not drown in the community without any record that those existed in the community. This writing class program aims to raise new generations and become a forum to encourage the spirit of youth literacy in the village. While the research method used is the Asset-Based Communities Development (ABCD) method because this method is a model in developing a community that prioritizes the use of assets and potential within a community. The results show that with this writing class which is packaged with the 3S concept (Relaxed, Serious, and Successful), some teenagers who have an interest in writing can/can develop their writing skills, can bring up their enthusiasm in writing, especially in the field of short stories literature as the focus from this writing class in the field of short story literature. During the course, the class members have made two short stories that could be sent to the Radar Madura newspaper later. Therefore, this writing class can be an alternative to develop the talents and interests of teenagers in the world of literacy. (Minimnya kesadaran akan pentingnya kegiatan literasi di tengah masyarakat khususnya dibidang kesastraan, membuat keterbelakangan dalam dunia literasi. Maka, kegiatan menulis perlu dikenalkan serta didorong guna memunculkan bibit-bibit baru untuk dunia literasi, supaya tidak tenggelam di tengah masyarakat tanpa ada catatan bahwa ia pernah ada di tengah masyarakat tersebut. Adapun tujuan dari adanya program kelas menulis ini adalah untuk memunculkan bibit baru serta menjadi wadah untuk mendorong semangat literasi remaja di desa. Sedangkan metode penelitian yang digunakan menggunakan metode Asset Based Communities Development (ABCD), karena metode ini merupakan model dalam mengembangkan masyarakat yang mengutamakan pemanfaatan aset dan potensi dalam lingkungan sebuah masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan adanya kelas menulis ini yang dikemas dengan konsep 3S (Santai, Serius, dan Sukses), sebagian remaja yang memiliki minat dalam kepenulisan bisa/dapat mengembangkan kemampuan menulisnya, dapat memunculkan rasa semangat mereka dalam menulis khususnya dibidang sastra cerpen sebagaimana fokus dari kelas menulis ini dibidang sastra cerpen, serta selama kelas ini berlangsung anggota kelas telah mampu membuat 2 buah karya cerpen yang bisa dikirimkan ke Koran Radar Madura nantinya. Oleh karena itu, kelas menulis ini bisa menjadi alternatif untuk mengembangkan bakat dan minat remaja di dunia literasi).

Abstract

This article observes training on producing dried catfish and seeling them online among catfish business owners at Bugih Village, Pamekasan Regency. Catfish cultivation in the area has been running so good that it is also processed into the dried catfish. Catfish cultivation and its processed products can be highly potential goods to sell amid the community's economic difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Catfish, which has been so far known only as fish eaten with rice in a meal, can be further processed such as becoming dried fish. The dried fish can increase public interest due to its durability. Those who don’t eat catfish in any common way can also be interested to taste the dried one. However, its market target is still limited to Pamekasan local area so that PKM (Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat) participants in the area initiated to train the catfish sellers to dry the catfish and use online selling to enlarge potential customers and selling. We use SWOT analysis to capture the community service agenda after explaining the program quite detail. It reveals that catfish businessmen in the area are interested in processing dried catfish due to easy making process and economic potential of the product. They are also enthusiast to use online marketing wishing that it can increase income and help them dealing with economic difficulties during Covid-19 pandemic. (Artikel ini menyoroti pelatihan pembuatan lele kering dan pemasaran daring di kalangan para pebisnis lele di Kelurahan Bugih, Kabupaten Pamekasan. Budidaya lele di Kelurahan Bugih Kabupaten Pamekasan berjalan cukup baik, bahkan ada yang sudah membuat lele kering. Budidaya lele dan olahan produknya sangatlah potensial untuk dijual di tengah kesulitan ekonomi karena pandemi Covid-19. Lele yang selama ini hanya dikenal sebagai lauk yang biasa dimakan bersama nasi dapat dikembangkan menjadi produk olahan seperti ikan kering. Lele kering berpotensi meningkatkan minat beli masyarakat karena sifatnya yang tahan lama. Mereka yang tidak mau mengonsumsi lele seperti biasa juga mungkin tertarik mencicipi lele kering. Akan tetapi, pemasaran lele kering ini masih terbatas di wilayah lokal Pamekasan saja sehingga peserta PKM daerah setempat berinisiatif mengadakan pelatihan pembuatan lele kering dan pemasarannya secara daring untuk menambah pembeli potensial dan jumlah penjualan. Kami menggunakan anailsis SWOT untuk memotret pengabdian masyarakat tersebut setelah menjelaskannya cukup detail).

Abstract

The development of English as international language requests for bigger requirements in all aspects of life, especially education field. Automatically, teachers are supposed to have English competence in keeping up the students’ development. Islamic education teachers (PAI) are suggested to use English in teaching or at least they use English in giving instruction in the classroom. Since this way of teaching is as one of the requirements of an international school. This way is also supporting the school in gaining the people’s trust. The strategy used in empowering the Islamic education teachers in teaching using English is set in a form of community engagement (PKM). The schools chosen are all school under the Asyahidul Kabir institution from the Islamic elementary school, Islamic junior high school, and Islamic senior high school. This engagement is divided into two sessions. First session is for the educating session and the second one is for the practice. For the educating sessions, it is clearly seen that instruction in English help the teacher very much, although the pronunciation still needs to be corrected. While in the practice session, they are still nervous in using some instruction because they have to teach their friends in peer teaching. But overall the sessions ran well. When the facilitator passed these two sessions, she will do some observation on the Islamic education classroom to ensure that they have practiced using English in giving instruction well. The result from the observation show that the weakness of the teacher is in the preparing stage. The teachers still need to pay more attention on the students’ need and students’ readiness.

Abstract

Reading the Qur'an smoothly and correctly is a necessity and necessity for all Muslim communities in the world. Why not, the Holy Qur'an which is believed by Muslim communities throughout the world can be read only by understanding the rules of recitation, the letter, the character of letters and practicing repeatedly. The group that is the target of community service activities is the female students of the Islamic Boarding School of Miftahul Ulum Sumenep. The target group does not yet have the knowledge and skills to read the Qur'an in accordance with the rules of recitation, the letters of letters and the character of letters. For this reason, in the community service activities, material will be conveyed about the rules of recitation, letters and letters and practice them repeatedly. The repeated training was held at the mosque of the Islamic Boarding School of Miftahul Ulum Sumenep. As a result, the female students of the Islamic Boarding School of Miftahul Ulum in Sumenep finally gained in-depth knowledge about the rules of recitation, letters and letters and could practice it and avoid mistakes in reading the Qur'an.
