Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of psychological empowerment on turnover intention mediated by work engagement in Millennial employees in Indonesia. This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional study design involving 99 Millennial employees in Indonesia. The sampling technique in this study was accidental sampling by distributing questionnaires online. Hayes mediation analysis was used to examine the role of mediation in this study. The results of this study indicate that psychological empowerment affects turnover intention by being mediated by work engagement (F(2,96)= 10.5924, p=0.0001). Furthermore, it is known that there is a positive regression of psychological empowerment to work engagement (β = 0.63, SE= 0.08, p < .001) and a negative regression to turnover intention (β= -0.19, SE= 0.06, p= .0016). It means that increasing the psychological empowerment felt by employees enhances an employee's work engagement, and in turn, reducing the intensity of employees leaving work. The implications of this research in detail will be discussed further.

Abstract

The active workforce in Indonesia is dominated by the millennial generation. However, millennial employees have a characteristic that tend to be disloyal when their needs are not facilitated. Past researches have shown work-life balance as one of their main needs. Hypothesis of this research is the effects of work autonomy towards employees loyalty in millennial generation with work-life balance as mediator. This is a quantitative research and datas were collected using the work autonomy scale developed by Breaugh (1999), the work-life balance scale developed by Fisher, et al (2009), and the employee loyalty scale developed by Dutta and Dhir (2021). This research is a total population study with 288 respondents from PT MF. The results showed that work-life balance couldn’t moderate the effect of work autonomy on millennial employee loyalty (p>.05), because the majority of respondents were male employees who view work autonomy as a way to develop loyalty and not work-life balance, considering their role as breadwinner for their family.

Abstract

Aggression behavior in parents needs to be considered to avoid violence in children, one of which affects aggression behavior is emotional maturity in parents. This study aims to examine whether emotional maturity influences parents' aggressive behavior when accompanying children during PJJ. Respondents in this study were 113 parents who accompanied children aged 5-8 years, parents aged at least 20 years, and located in JABODETABEK. This study used the aggression behavior scale from Buss and Perry (1992) and the emotional maturity scale from Singh and Barghava (1990), both of which were modified by the researcher. This study uses the linear regression method to test the influence between emotional maturity and aggression behavior. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence between emotional maturity and aggression behavior in parents when accompanying children during PJJ with the results of R2 = 0.422 and contributed an influence of 42.3%. This means that showing the emotional maturity of individuals will affect aggressive behavior.

Abstract

Unhealthy eating behavior in young adults, especially women, needs to be considered to avoid the occurrence of diseases that lead to mortality, one of which influences harmful eating behavior is the physical self-concept in young adult women. This study aims to examine whether there is an effect of physical self-concept on unhealthy eating behavior in young adult women. This study used the unhealthy eating behavior scale from Van Strein et al (1986) and the physical self-concept scale from Hsu and Lu (2013). This study uses the linear regression method to examine the effect of physical self-concept on unhealthy eating behavior. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence between physical self-concept and unhealthy eating behavior in young adult women with the results of R square = 0,145 and contributed an influence of 14,5%. This means showing that the physical self-concept will affect unhealthy eating behavior.

Data collection was done with an online questionnaire with total of 107 respondents. Most of them are female, with the percentage of 54.2%, and aged 18 years old, with the percentage of 29.9%. Linear hypothesis test showed significant result with p value <0.001, and ꞵ -0.382. It means that quarter-life crisis has negative impacts toward personal growth initiative, meaning a higher quarter-life crisis would lead to lower personal growth initiative. Through this research, individuals are able to understand that quarter-life crisis can affect their personal growth initiative.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and measure the effect of work life balance on job satisfaction of outsourced employees at PT. X. This research uses quantitative methods. The subjects of this research were 143 employees. Data collection uses a job satisfaction scale and a work life balance scale. Analysis of this research data used exponential non-linear regression analysis, and the calculated F value was 7.055, which was greater than the F table, namely 3.91. So there is an influence between the work life balance variable (X) on the job satisfaction variable (Y). It is known that the R value, namely 0.218, is in the low category, but shows a positive correlation between the criterion (Y) and the predictor (X). From the calculation results, it is known that the R square value is 0.048, which means that work life balance has an influence of 4.8% on the job satisfaction of PT outsourcing employees. X. This value means that work life balance (X) can affect 4.8% in job satisfaction (Y) while 95.2% is influenced by other factors or variables that are not examined in this study.
