Abstract

Abstract. Celebrity worship is a relationship that a person builds with continuous effort and full focus to the point of obsession and attachment to a particular artist. This phenomenon occurs because there are a lot of exciting artists and media content with easy access via the internet. One of the factors that influence celebrity worship is the loneliness. This research aims to see whether there is a relationship between loneliness and celebrity worship among female K-Pop fans in emerging adulthood. The sampling used was purposive sampling and incidental sampling. The measuring instrument used is the celebrity worship and loneliness scale (SELSA-S). The results of the hypothesis test obtained a value of r = -0.024 (p> 0.05), so it can be concluded that there is no relationship between loneliness and celebrity worship among emerging adulthood female K-Pop fans. The absence of a relationship between the two variables occurs due to the social support received when being a K-Pop, so one does not experience loneliness. Keywords: Loneliness, Celebrity Worship, Emerging Adulthood, Female.

The method used is a scoping review. The results show similarities and differences in the definitions of authentic followership. Furthermore, most of the reviewed articles use Self-Determination Theory (SDT) in explaining the role of authentic followership in other aspects. The third result of the literature review shows several determinants and effects of authentic followership. There are three identifiable determinants (leadership style, psychological attributes of followers, and psychological attributes of leaders). Abstract

After the current Covid-19 pandemic, the field of education is entering a new period of adaptability in which students are resuming offline learning. As a result, out-of-town overseas students are forced to return to their boarding houses and are cut off from their relatives. Overseas students endure emotions of isolation regularly. Loneliness is a feeling that individuals experience when they desire social ties in their environment but cannot achieve them. This relates to the various sorts of loneliness, such as when an individual does not receive the desired social life, loneliness resulting from personality patterns, and loneliness resulting from the individual's unpleasant feeling condition (Russell, 1996). Individuals who lack emotional intelligence as a defense and protection against unpleasant emotions, such as loneliness, will see a deterioration in their feelings of isolation. The existence of emotional intelligence is extremely beneficial for interpersonal connections. In addition, emotional intelligence encompasses detecting others' emotions, managing them, developing relationships, and motivating oneself (Salovey & Mayer, 1990). Consequently, this research aims to evaluate the association between loneliness and emotional intelligence in students returning to boarding schools after the Covid-19 pandemic. The research will involve 116 participants aged 18 - 25. The UCLA Loneliness Scale, Version 3, and the Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale (SEIS) were used in this research to collect data. Pearson Product Moment Correlation is the parametric statistical technique used to examine the relationship between the two research variables. Based on the results of hypothesis testing on the variables of loneliness and emotional intelligence, it can be demonstrated that the value of r = -0.339 with p-value = 0.000<0.05. The results of this research show that there is a negative correlation between loneliness and emotional intelligence among students who return to boarding houses following the pandemic. The more emotional intelligence an individual possesses, the less loneliness they experience, and vice versa.

Abstract

Finding identity and life purpose is one of emerging adulthood’s developmental tasks. It can help them be in a committed relationship, which is also their developmental task. However, the Friends With Benefits phenomenon in emerging adulthood in Indonesia indicates a lack of dating commitment, whereas it is important to commit and thus study predictors promoting commitment. Therefore, this research aims to find whether life purpose can be a predictor of dating commitment in emerging adulthood in Indonesia. Participants are 305 Indonesians aged 18-25 years old who are in a dating relationship. They completed online questionnaires consisting of the Indonesian version of the Claremont Purpose Scale and Sternberg Triangular Love Scale’s commitment scale. Based on the simple linear regression test, life purpose positively predicts dating commitment with goal-directedness being the highest predictor. This shows that life purpose has a positive impact on the dating commitment of emerging adulthood in Indonesia.

Generation Z, comprising the largest population group in Indonesia, faces significant unemployment challenges. This article explores the factors influencing entrepreneurial intention among Indonesian students to tackle unemployment and enhance the economy. The research aims to examine the roles of entrepreneurial mindset, emotional intelligence, and grit in shaping entrepreneurial intention through entrepreneurial self-efficacy. The study employs a quantitative research method, utilizing non-probability sampling techniques, collecting data from 269 students in semester 5 and above across Indonesia. Research findings indicate that entrepreneurial mindset positively impacts entrepreneurial intention, while emotional intelligence and grit do not significantly affect it. Additionally, entrepreneurial mindset, emotional intelligence, and grit are correlated with entrepreneurial self-efficacy. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy serves as a mediating factor between entrepreneurial mindset, emotional intelligence, grit, and entrepreneurial intention. Abstract

Hypersexuality can profoundly affect the subjective well-being of women, causing feelings of worthlessness, shame, disruptions in daily life. Despite this, hypersexuality can also have positive effects, such as relaxation and happiness. This research, employing phenomenological methods and in-depth interviews with two women (aged 25 and 26), explores the subjective well-being of women with hypersexuality. Findings indicate that these women experience various aspects of subjective well-being, though at low levels. Positive affect arises from emotional support from sexual partners and post-sexual activity calmness. However, negative affect includes feelings of worthlessness and shame towards future partners, hindering stable relationships. Compulsive thoughts and conflicts create a cyclical pattern impacting life satisfaction. Inconsistencies between moral beliefs and actions trigger cognitive dissonance, prompting moral disengagement to justify sexual behaviors. Unsupportive family conditions and the aftermath of sexual abuse worsen subjective well-being, while support from sexual partners enhances it.

Abstract

Working mothers of young children face a constant challenge. Their limited time can impact their ability to parent effectively, while young children still require support in managing emotions and behavior. This situation can lead to a decrease in parenting self-efficacy. This study aimed to examine one of the factors that influence parenting self-efficacy, namely social support. Participants were 124 full-time working mothers, aged 20-30 years, with a first child aged 2-6 years, and living in East Java. The mothers completed online parenting self-efficacy and social support questionnaire. A regression analysis revealed a significant influence of social support on parenting-self efficacy with an effective contribution of 26.3%. Support from family, friends, and significant others all play a role in increasing parenting self-efficacy of working mothers with young children.
