Abstract

This study aims to explain the literacy movement and its impact on increasing students' interest in reading at MAN I Prabumulih. The School Literacy Movement in increasing students' interest in reading at MAN 1 Prabumulih uses a qualitative research approach and type. That is, research with the aim of describing and analyzing every event, event or phenomenon related to the problem that the researcher discusses. The results of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) research at MAN I Prabumulih in increasing interest in reading include through the habit of reading between before starting lessons (tadarus) for students who are unable to go to the library, muhaarah, memorizing surahs and hadiths, tadarus every Friday at the school mosque. The impact of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) at MAN I Prabumulih is that there are positive things that schools get through this program. In addition to students' interest in reading through active visits to the library, they are also enthusiastic about participating in school madding, placing several collections of books that can be exchanged with other students in the class reading corner, and concrete evidence is the success of students in winning competitions on literacy outside of school. Supporting and Inhibiting Factors for the School Literacy Movement (GLS) in Increasing Students' Interest in Reading at MAN I Prabumulih include reading facilities, funds, student motivation and interest, reading resources, and a variety of reading books.

Abstract

This article discusses the comparison of leadership in the context of schools and Islamic boarding schools. Leadership in educational institutions is very important for achieving academic goals and developing student character. However, leadership in schools and Islamic boarding schools differs in culture, values, and institutional goals. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with school and Islamic boarding school leaders. Data analysis was performed using the thematic analysis method. The results of the study show that leadership in schools is more focused on administrative management, while leadership in Islamic boarding schools is more focused on building religious character and values. In addition, leadership in Islamic boarding schools is more paternalistic in nature, while leadership in schools is more democratic. In the context of educational development in Indonesia, this research can provide insight and understanding of the differences in leadership in two different types of educational institutions. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide guidance for leaders of educational institutions in improving the quality of leadership and educational development in Indonesia.

Abstract

Every human being is born with talents according to their respective interests, so that the development of students in educational institutions is not only in the academic field, but in the development of talents. The teacher's role in developing student talents is to accommodate all forms of student talents, provide a place to accommodate student talents, and provide positive motivation to students. Data collection was carried out at SDN Singonegaran 1 Kediri with a qualitative method, namely by interviewing the person in charge of talent development activities. SDN Singnegara 1 Kediri has talent development activities, namely creative demonstration activities which are held every Saturday. Each class must perform one performance per week. Seen from every week, the enthusiasm of students is increasing, this is because the self-confidence of students has started to be high. The purpose of this activity is to accommodate and develop students' talents and interests, besides that this activity also aims to train students' self-confidence. Thus, this study aims to find out how educational institutions develop students' talents and interests, and this research will examine (1) program planning for creative demonstration activities at SDN Singonegaran 1 Kediri by setting all objectives for these activities, (2) Organizing in the implementation of creative demonstration activities at SDN Singonegaran 1 Kediri, (3) Actuating of implementing the creative demonstration activity program at SDN Singonegaran 1, (4) Controlling of activities carried out to evaluate program activities so that they continue to run according to the predetermined plan.

Abstract

Abstrak: Membangun gerakan mutu pendidikan tidak hanya pada satu aspek saja, akan tetapi mencakup segala aspek yang berkaitan dalam proses pendidikan .Mutu pendidikan menjadi bagian pertama yang dilihat dalam pemberian kritik saran perbaikan dan pemilihan lembaga pendidikan untuk dijadikan tempat menimba ilmu pengetahuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaiman SMK AL FALAH WINONG membangun gerakan mutu dalam penjaminan kualitas lembaganya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu melalui wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi dan catatan lapangan. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa : 1).Gerakan mutu yang dilaksanakan di SMK AL –FALAH Winong mencakup gerakan mutu input, proses dan output yang pelaksanaannya menjadi tanggung jawab semua warga sekolah. 2).Pembangunan gerakan mutu dalam menjamin kualitas lembaga pendidikan islam SMK AL-FALAH WINONG berpedoman pada Sistem Manajemen Mutu berbasis IS0 9001 : 2015 . 3).Keberhasilan pembangunan gerakan mutu dalam menjamin kualitas lembaga pendidikan akan tercapai jika fungsi-fungsi manajemen dalam lembaga pendidikan berjalan secara sistematis. Tulisan ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan baik secara teoritis maupun praktis. Secara teoritis, menambah temuan baru tentang “Membangun Gerakan Mutu Dalam Penjaminan Kualitas Lembaga Pendidikan Islam” yang relevan untuk diimplementasikan di Indonesia. Secara praktis, memberikan pemahaman baru kepada kepala dan para stakeholder dalam mengelola lembaga pendidikannya sehingga dapat mewujudkan lembaga pendidikan islam yang bermutu dan berkualitas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and develop risk mitigation strategies for social conflict in the context of Islamic education at Al-I'tishoom Islamic Boarding School. Social conflict can affect the educational climate and the welfare of students and teaching staff. Therefore, it is important to identify risk factors for social conflict that exist in Islamic boarding schools and formulate effective strategies to overcome and reduce their negative impacts. This research method involves a case study at Al-I'tishoom Islamic Boarding School, by collecting data through interviews, observation, and analysis of related documents. The results of the study show that several risk factors for social conflict exist in Islamic boarding schools including differences in religious views, cultural differences, and socio-economic differences among students. It is hoped that the results of this research can become a reference for education policy makers and related parties in designing effective strategies for managing and reducing the risk of social conflict in the context of Islamic education at the Al-I'tishoom Islamic Boarding School and similar institutions.

Abstract

Final exam scores are not the only indicator of the quality of educational outcomes in today's society. Society is starting to observe, in terms of the quality of education, the extent to which college graduates can integrate into everyday life. In this article the researcher will explain strategic management to improve the quality of Islamic educational institutions. This article is written using the library research method. Library study is a data analysis method using references in the form of books, journals, notes or the results of previous research. Based on the results of research that researchers have conducted, by carrying out strategic management, educational institutions have received real benefits, through strategic management these educational institutions have obtained effective strategies in determining their direction or goals. Implementation of strategic management can be carried out using SWOT analysis. With a SWOT analysis, educational institutions can carry out strategic steps, so that they can improve the quality of educational institutions

Abstract

Anti-corruption education is very important in building an anti-corruption culture in universities by instilling integrity values in students and staff in universities, increasing awareness and understanding of corruption, shaping anti-corruption attitudes and behaviors in students and staff, and encouraging active student participation in fighting corruption. Anti-corruption education can help improve the quality of education and the image of universities in society, form young people who have anti-corruption attitudes and behaviors and support the National Movement for Mental Revolution program. The purpose of this study is to analyze leadership strategies applied in controlling policies to form an anti-corruption culture at Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Tarbiyah (STIT) Ya'mal Tangerang. The data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation. There are forms of intellectual corruption in universities that need to be prevented by systemic, planned, and science-based efforts. Universities need to make anti-corruption education one of the courses, teach anti-corruption culture through student organizations, and instll integrity values through systematic requirements in all aspects of campus and college life.

Abstract

Success in the realm of education can not only be measured based on the end result, but it is more essential to understand and study the effectiveness of the implementation of school management functions, including planning, implementation, evaluation and RTL (follow-up plan). Supervision of education, as a process of supervision and guidance, aims to improve the quality of education in educational institutions. The focus of this article is the implementation of educational supervision carried out by the principal and supervisory team at SMP Nurul Ilmi Darunnajah. This study used qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study cover several aspects, including: 1) The principal conducts supervision which includes two things, namely teacher administration and teaching and learning process activities, 2) Supervision brings significant benefits to teachers in handling various educational problems during learning, while providing motivation to teachers to continue to improve their knowledge, making them professional teachers in carrying out learning, 3) The headmaster faces obstacles in supervision, especially related to overlapping activities

Abstract

This research is motivated by the achievements achieved by MAN Insan Scholar Jambi students at the national student olympiad and national student competition in the field of biology. This research aims to analyze the management of biology instructors in guiding students at MAN Insan Scholar Jambi. The research was carried out for two weeks from October – November 2023. This research is included in research on events in the field or can be called field research using qualitative research. The informant for data collection was the biology olympiad teacher. The results of this research illustrate that the role of the olympiad teacher in the field of biological sciences at MAN Insan Cendikia Jambi is not just as a teacher, but also as a facilitator and learning friend for the participants. Through structured planning of coaching activities, careful participant selection strategies, and involvement in routine activities and competitions, teachers prove their commitment and involvement in developing students' potential. A holistic approach in identifying participants' skill and knowledge needs, together with tailored learning methods, indicates a serious effort in optimizing participants' abilities.

Abstract

Raising teacher competency is one of the keystone factors that is crucial to raising the standard of education. Teachers have a crucial role in the educational process because they are the primary resource for developing lesson plans, supervising student progress, and creating a supportive learning environment. The research methodology used in this study is a qualitative approach derived from postpositivist theory. This method is typically used to simulate an alamiah situation in which the researcher acts as the primary instrument to illustrate the situation with an objective based on verified facts. This study was conducted at SMPN 14 Kota Jambi using the Subject Study Guide of SMPN 14 Kota Jambi. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of differentiated learning has a positive impact, particularly in enhancing student happiness and the discovery of new experiences. Despite being recognized as significant, there are challenges in identifying diverse learning needs in each class. Teacher competency, as a result of the synergy of various abilities, encompasses technical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and professional aspects. The evaluation of differentiated learning implementation involves direct observation and document examination, providing a profound understanding of implementation effectiveness and potential challenges.
