Abstract

The right learning system is one of the successes in learning objectives, but during theCOVID-19-19 pandemic, it creates problems between teachers and parents. This studyaims to find out the problems of online learning in Tk X Surabaya, Using qualitativeresearch types with a descriptive approach, data collection techniques using observation,interviews, documentation. Abstract

MENINGKATKAN KONSENTRASI BELAJAR ANAK DENGAN METODE BERCERITA DI TK AL – IMANImproving listening skills in early childhood (5-6 years old) using a read aloud method at TK Wachid Hasyim 2 Surabaya. The observation occured during learning activities in a story tellig. It seems that when the teacher reads a story, the exprssion, intonation, and the body langauge is not delibeately shown. It cause the children attention to the story is not maximum. The childrn lose the focus and interest to the story. Out of 15 students, only 11 who are able to retell the story that has been rad. On the inteview session, it is found that the teacher had not made efforts to increase the skill of students’ listening skill. In addition, the teacher has not developed learning methods to deliver the story. Researchers used the qualitative method of PTK (Penelitian Tindak Kelas). The PTK model that researchers used in this study was spiral method from the Kemmis Researcher Model (1988). In the book PTK (Rochiati Wiriaatmadja, 2008 : 66) From the first cycle, and II is carried out with the planning stage (plan), action (act), observation (observer) and reflection (reflection). The results of the class research that it can be concluded that improving the listening skills using the read aloud method for early years student (5-6 years) at TK Wachid Hasyim 2 is giving a good impaact. This me`thod can be also use as a` reference for other grades. Keywords: learning method, read aloud, listening skills

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe and analyze the application of plant media in increasing the creativity of drawing in class A children in TK Al Maisaroh Bungatan Situbondo. (2) Describing and analyzing the improvement of children's drawing creativity with plant media in class A children at Al Maisaroh Bungatan Kindergarten Situbondo. The method used is class action. The subjects in this study were Class A children at Al Maisaroh Kindergarten, which consisted of 10 children aged 4 to 5 years consisting of 6 boys and 4 girls. The results are (1) The activity of drawing plants through the class action method can increase the creativity of class A children at Al Maisaroh Bungatan Situbondo Kindergarten, the academic year 2021/2022. Children prefer to draw when the method used can make it easier for children to draw clearer and less vague shapes. (2) The increase in creativity in drawing children with plant media in class A children at Al Maisaroh Bungatan Kindergarten Situbondo can be proven from the data from learning observations in each cycle. The following is a description of each cycle: a. In this Pre-Cycle, the average achievement of drawing class A in TK Al Maisaroh Bungatan Situbondo is 42.50%, b. In Cycle I the average achievement of drawing plants increased by 22.50%, from 42.50% to 65.00%, c. In Cycle II, the average achievement of drawing plants increased by 21.88%, from 65.00% to 86.88%. The total increase that occurred from before the action (Pre-Cycle) to Cycle II was 44.38%, from 42.50% to 86.88%. with KKM 85%. Keywords: drawing creativity, plant media, class action

Abstract

The goal of this study was to assess the level of digital literacy proficiency among parents of PAUD students in the Ngawi Regency. The research was conducted using a mixed-methods approach and benchmarked against prior studies of a similar nature on parental digital literacy and online learning at the PAUD level under the new normal. The study's findings included data from 30 PAUD who participated as respondents and represented 30 subdistricts in the Ngawi Regency. Based on the survey's findings, it is known that the majority of PAUD-level online learning processes still use message-based communication via SMS or Whatsapp media instead of digital learning platforms. Numerous PAUD schools have attempted to teach using digital platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Team, but their efforts have been limited by students' low levels of computer proficiency and parents' limited availability. This demonstrates that despite the fact that practically all parents are accustomed to utilizing mobile devices and other digital communication tools for communication, they do not know how to utilize them for learning. According to the study's findings, in order to support the success of learning programs and activities, particularly those conducted online due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, policies and guidelines for digital literacy must concentrate on improving parents' knowledge of and capacity for access to digital learning systems. Abstract

This study aims to improve children's English vocabulary skills by using Flash Card media. This research was conducted on B1 level students of Hang Pour 3 Kindergarten Surabaya in the 2022/2023 academic year.This study used classroom action research which consisted of two cycles, namely cycle one and cycle two. The data collected was in the form of observation data on teacher activities, observation data on student activities, observation data on learning activities using flash cards. Based on the results of classroom action research in the first cycle and the second cycle, it was shown that learning using Flash Cards was able to increase abilities from developing to highly developed by 73%. Abstract

This research seeks to reveal how to improve the disciplinary behavior of children aged 4-5 years, some of strategies used by Flamboyan Platuk Surabaya Kindergarten teachers in improving student discipline behavior is by applying positive reinforcement. This study aims to identify and describe strategies for giving positive reinforcement in improving the discipline behavior of children aged 4-5 years at Kindergarten Flamboyan Platuk Surabaya. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, taking place in Kindergarten Flamboyan Platuk Surabaya. The subjects in this study were the head of Kindergarten Flamboyan Platuk, group A2 teachers and group A2 students. The object of this study is a strategy of providing positive reinforcement in improving the discipline behavior of children aged 4-5 years at Kindergarten Flamboyan Platuk Surabaya. Data collection techniques were carried out through non-participant observation, unstructured interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques by collecting data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the strategy of providing positive reinforcement in improving the discipline behavior of children aged 4-5 years in Kindergarten Flamboyan Platuk, namely: first, choosing an effective reinforcer. Abstract

One of the results of children's cognitive development is the ability to think symbolically, including the ability to recognize number symbols. Problems were found related to understanding the concept of numbers or symbols of numbers in class A group children at Adinda Sidosermo Kindergarten, Wonocolo District, Surabaya City, namely children who could only memorize arithmetic but were unable to pronounce the concept of numbers or number symbols. Therefore, research is needed to obtain learning strategies in the form of introducing the concept of numbers 1-10 through plasticine games, which are beneficial for children's motor, cognitive and patient development. The aim of the study was to describe the use of plastic media to improve the memorization of numbers and writing of 1-10 Kindergarten A children in Adinda Kindergarten Surabaya. plastic media to improve writing numbers 1-10 Kindergarten A children at Kindergarten Adinda Surabaya.The research used is qualitative research. The result is Learning to introduce the concept of numbers 1-10 through plasticine games, memorization and writing for group A, learning materials adapted to the level of ability of children in each study group, creating a harmonious relationship between the teacher and students by giving praise, applause and thanks. if the child follows the lesson well. The use of plasticine media does not experience obstacles. The response to the introduction of the concept of numbers 1-10 through plasticine games is that children easily remember the shape of the number concept, children are able to sort numbers from 1-10 and vice versa.Keywords: plasticine, cognitive, numbers

Abstract

The research is motivated by researchers' observations of children's enthusiasm for traditional games in today's technological era. This study aimed to determine how enthusiastic kindergartners are toward Engklek, a traditional game, in class B of Bina Insani Surabaya Kindergarten. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection technique by participant observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subject is students of Class B in Bina Insani Surabaya Kindergarten. The research object is children's enthusiasm for the traditional game Engklek. The results of the study show that children's enthusiasm for traditional games varies. The children were enthusiastic about the traditional hopscotch game and most experienced an increase in enthusiasm from the first to the fourth. In this study, it was not found that children were very enthusiastic about the traditional game of cranks where the Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB) indicator (very good development indicator) was achieved. Abstract

ABSTRACT Maria Christantya: The Relationship between Smartphone Use and Social Emotional Development in Early Childhood. Thesis. Surabaya: Early Childhood Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Narotama University, 2023. This study aims to examine the relationship of smartphone use to children's social emotional development and to review journals related to the relationship of smartphone use to early childhood social development. The design of this study uses a design based on the characteristics of the main research problem, namely the associative strategy. Associative research is research that aims to determine the effect of two or more variables where these results are obtained by analyzing the relationship between smartphone use and social emotional development in early childhood in Surabaya. The cross-sectional research design is a measurement or observation of the independent variables and the dependent variable only once at a time. The results of this study show that the results of the correlation test show that the correlation coefficient is 1.632 and a significant value is 0.006 (p <0.05). These results indicate that the hypothesis is accepted or there is a relationship between smartphone use and early childhood social emotional development. The Effect of Using a Smartphone on Social Emotional Development is 26%. Meanwhile, 74% of Children's Social Emotional Development is influenced by other variables.
