Abstract

This development of research aimed to produce the sets of PhET-assisted guided inquiry learning materials to increase students' critical thinking skills are feasible (valid, practical and efficient) for using in teaching and learning process on dynamic electricity in junior high school. To achieve these objectives, the researcher developed  learning materials that contain: Lesson Plan, Student Activity Sheet, Instructional Materials and an instrument to measure critical thinking skill, the 4-D model had been used to develop these materials. They had been validated, revised, and tested to 30 students of IX grade of junior high school 6 muaro jambi using one group pretest-posttest design. Student?s critical thinking skill improved by high category. Based on this research result, it can be concluded that the PhET-assisted guided inquiry learning on Dinamycs Electricity is feasible to increase the improvement of student?s critical thinking skill.  Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan PhET untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang layak (valid, praktis dan efektif) digunakan dalam proses belajar mengajar pada materi listrik dinamis di SMP. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, peneliti mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran yang terdiri atas Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, Lembar Kegiatan Siswa, Bahan Ajar Siswa dan Tes Hasil Belajar Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D. Perangkat hasil pengembangan yang telah divalidasi dan direvisi, kemudian diujicobakan pada 30 orang siswa kelas IX SMPN 6 Muaro Jambi dengan menggunakan rancangan One Group Pretest-Posttest. Keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa menunjukkan peningkatan dengan kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan PhET pada materi Listrik Dinamis layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop valid, practical, and effective worksheet to support electrochemistry learning using guided inquiry model. Development  of  worksheet based on ADDIE model (Analyse, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). Worksheet were implemented at grade XII chemistry students using one group pretest-posttest design. Validity of worksheet was measured from relevance and consistency based on expert judgment with minimum score of 2,6. Practicality of worksheet was measured from students activity with minimun percentage of 60%. Effectivenes of worksheet was measured from its impact to increase student?s cognitive achievement significanly. Validity and practicality was analyzed using descriptive statistics, whereas effectiveness of cognitive achievement was analyzed using inferential t-test. The result of data analysis were: (1) content validiy and construct validity of worksheet developed was very valid; (2) students activity were very good; (3) cognitive achievement has increased significanly both in pilot implementation and final implementation

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop biology - Fungi Kingdom learning material in English with process skill approach that applied in 10th grade students in Khadijah Senior High School. The development of this learning materials was conducted by using 4-D model that has 4 main stages. However, this research only carried out 3 out 4 stages which are define, design, and develop. Meanwhile the last stage, disseminate, was not carried out in this research. This research used one group pretest-posttest design with quantitative-descriptive analytical technique and using qualitative-descriptive analytical technique. The validation results of the learning materials: syllabus, lesson plan, worksheet, learning media, and assessments, are in very valid category. The average achievement of product learning objectives is 84%, the average achievement of process learning objectives in scientific drawing is 92%, the average achievement of integrated process skill learning objectives is 94%, the category achievement of presentation process learning objectives is 4,28 or the percentage is 85,6%, and the average achievement psychomotor objective is 100%. The class achievement for product assessment is 94,29%, class achievement for process assessment in scientific drawing is 100%, 88,57% for class achievement for integrated process skill, psychomotor assessment is 100%, and the average class achievement for presentation is 4,28 that shows good category. The students responds shows that 95% of the students like the component of the learning materials, 93,33% students state that the component of the learning materials are new, and 100% students like to learn using the learning materials. The student activities that dominate is the activity that focused on students, which are; the first meeting was observe the fungi structure, meanwhile in the second meeting the activity that dominate the learning process was discussion with the group, and in the third meeting the dominating activity was search in the internet. Based on the data obtained in this research, the learning materials that are developed are able to be used in learning activity. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran biologi berbahasa Inggris dengan pendekatan keterampilan proses sains pada materi Kingdom Jamur yang diujicobakan di kelas X SMA Khadijah Surabaya. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran dilakukan dengan menggunakan model 4-D yang terdiri atas 4 tahapan. Pada penelitian ini tahapan yang dilakukan hanya meliputi 3 tahapan awal yaitu define, design, dan develop,  sedangkan tahap disseminate tidak dilakukan. Desain uji coba ini menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil validasi perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan yaitu Silabus, RPP, Buku Siswa, LKS, Media Pembelajaran, dan Lembar Penilaian, berkategori sangat layak/valid. Rata-rata ketuntasan tujuan pembelajaran produk adalah 84%, tujuan pembelajaran proses menggambar ilmiah memiliki rata-rata ketuntasan 92%, dan ketuntasan tujuan pembelajaran proses terpadu adalah 94%, rata-rata ketuntasan tujuan pembelajaran proses presentasi adalah 4,28 atau sebesar 85,6% dengan kategori baik, dan ketuntasan tujuan pembelajaran psikomotor adalah 100%. Ketuntasan klasikal adalah 94,29% penilaian produk, 100% untuk penilaian proses menggambar ilmiah, 88,57% untuk penilaian proses terpadu, 100% untuk penilaian psikomotor, dan rata-rata nilai siswa untuk penilaian proses presentasi adalah 4,28 dengan kategori baik. Respon siswa menunjukkan bahwa 95% siswa menyukai komponen perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan, 93,33 % menyatakan bahwa komponen perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah hal baru, dan 100% siswa menyatakan bahwa mereka menyukai pembelajaran dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Aktivitas siswa yang paling dominan adalah aktivitas yang berpusat pada siswa, diantaranya adalah pada pertemuan pertama adalah mengamati struktur tubuh jamur, sedangkan pada pertemuan kedua aktivitas yang paling dominan adalah berdiskusi kelompok, dan pada pertemuan ke tiga, aktivitas yang paling dominan adalah melakukan searching internet. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui implementasi penggunaan media kontak jodoh dengan model STADAT dapat meningkatkan: (1) perilaku berkarakter siswa, dan (2) hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan model penelitian tindakan dari Kemmis dan Taggart. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa SMPN 1 Sidayu kelas  IX-A berjumlah 30 orang yang terdiri atas 18 laki-laki dan 12 perempuan. Data diambil semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Instrumen pengumpul data berupa (a) lembar observasi perilaku berkarakter siswa, dan (2) tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media kontak jodoh dengan model STADAT dapat meningkatkan (1) perilaku berkarakter siswa dengan rata-rata 75,32% (perilaku memuaskan) pada siklus I menjadi 90,7% (perilaku sangat baik) pada siklus II, dan (2) hasil belajar siswa dengan rata-rata 60 % pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 87% pada siklus II.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to test the effectiveness of scientific approach-based science learning materials. Data collection techniques include: observation, test, and questionnaires. Research instruments include; sheets of learning implementation using scientific approach-based science learning materials, test, and questionnaires. Technique of data analysis used was classical mastery analysis on test result of learning (cognitive). In this research the effectiveness of scientific approach-based science learning materials can be measured through: (1) learning implementation, (2) learning outcomes, (3) activities, (4) students? responses. Percentage of learning achievement reached 83,8% with well executed category, the percentage of students? learning outcomes on cognitive aspect in terms of classical mastery in replication I and II reached 82.8% and 85.7% with complete category, the percentage of students activities on replication I and II reached 84.11 and 83.23 with active category and the percentage of students' respons reached 82% with positive response category. Based on the data exposure, the implementation of scientific approach-based science learning materials was effective to educate students? science literacy

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop physics learning material using concept approach learning-based to improve student achievement. This research was held using Dick and Carey design model and tested in X grade of SMAN 4 Jember usingone-group pretest-posttest design. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis quantitatively and qualitatively. Validation results showed that learning material is feasible to be implemented, including: (a) lesson plan, (b) student worksheet, (c) student book, (d) assessment sheet. The results of this research were analyzed and obtained: lesson plan was properly implemented, good student responses, all students interested in learning. Knowledge aspect include concept understanding and creative thinking skills were analyzed by N-gain showed high improvement. Conluded that, development of physics learning material based on concept approach is feasible to be implemented and it can improve the student achievement. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika menggunakan strategi pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan konsep untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan rancangan penelitian model Dick dan Carey dan diujicobakan di kelas X SMAN 4 Jember dengan desain ujicoba menggunaka none group pretest-posttest design. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil validasi perangkat pembelajaran menunjukkan perangkat pembelajaran layak untuk diimplementasikan,  meliputi: (a) RPP, (b) LKS, (c) Buku Siswa, (d) Instrumen Tes Hasil Belajar. Hasil penelitian ini dianalisis dan diperoleh beberapa temuan diantaranya: RPP terlaksana dengan baik, respon siswa sangat positif, semua siswa berminat dalam pembelajaran. Tes hasil belajar aspek pengetahuan yang meliputi pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dianalisis dengan N-Gain menunjukkan peningkatan yang tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan,  disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Scientific argumentation is an important skill in learning science that is integrated with science learning. The scientific argumentation in the science learning process is the basis for students to think, act and connect knowledge through argumentation to build their knowledge. This study aims to produce a Lesson Plan (LP) on the concept of harmonic motion, sound waves and light with the ADI learning model assisted by Lectora Inspire software that is valid and effective in improving the scientific argumentation skills of high school students. The type of research in this study is Research and Development which adapted the stages developed by Borg & Gall (1989), which are product-oriented in the education field with the research design one-group pretest-posttest design. The trial phase was carried out in Kendari 6 State Senior High School, Kendari 5 State Senior High School and Kendari 9 State Senior High School with 79 research subjects. The results showed that: Lesson Plan with the ADI learning model assisted by the developed Lectora Inspire software had validity with the average Aiken Index V = 0.89 with very high criteria and effectiveness with the Aiken Index V  = 0.77 with high criteria for improving skills scientific argumentation of students.

Abstract

This research is aimed to present brief description about development of guided inquiry learning material to increase students? scientific creativity in the aspect of designing an experiment. The development of learning material was done by using 4D model from Thiagarajan (1974). The component of learning material that was developed such as lesson plan, student worksheet, hand out, and assessment sheet. There were 3 experts and 12 students from 7th grade at SMPN 6 Surabaya participated in development testing of learning material. Data was obtained from validation and response sheet. Construct validation and external validation were obtained from this research. The results showed that learning material?s component is valid and reliable. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran umum hasil pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing untuk meningkatkan kreativitas ilmiah siswa SMP dalam aspek merancang kegiatan penyelidikan. Pengembangan perangkat dilakukan menggunakan model 4D dari Thiagarajan (1974). Perangkat yang dikembangkan meliputi RPP, LKS, Handout, dan Lembar penilaian. Sebanyak 3 pakar dan 12 siswa kelas VII SMPN 6 Surabaya berpartisipasi dalam uji coba terbatas perangkat. Data didapatkan dari lembar validasi dan lembar respon menggunakan teknik angket. Data yang didapatkan berupa data validitas konstruk dan validitas eksternal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komponen perangkat yang dikembangkan sudah valid dan reliabel.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce learning materials of  science bases on guided inquiry model intgrated with PhET media valid to excercise  science process skills of Junior High School Student. The learning materials development model used is Research & Development (R&D) with ten steps are related. Learning materials that developed was validated by experts and  try out II toward 30 students of VII grade students on academic year 2016/2017 by using One Group Pre-test and Post Test Design. The results of this research : 1) The validity of the materials is very valid category; 2) the realization of the lesson plan categorized very good  with percentage 98%, students response towards the learning material, 3) student activities highest in the activity of doing experiments and perform tasks LKS, 4) implementation learning reaches over 80% categorized as very strong; and 5) the increase in science process skills with N-gain 0.80, high criteria. It was concluded that learning material of science bases on guided inquiry model intgrated with PhET media that developed is eligible for increasing Junior High School students science process skills.

Abstract

This research was aimed to produce a valid, practical, and effective teaching material using ?internalization model? on subject matter ?wave and sound?, to increase moral sensitivity of student in Junior High School. The development of it used 4-D model which was reduced to 3-D, that is ?define, design, and develop?, and was try outed on grade VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Ketapang using One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. The data collection consisted of observation, test, documentation, and questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in the study was descriptive quantitative and qualitative analysis. From the study it was found that: 1) The developed teaching materials valid; 2) The practicality of the teaching material, viewed from the realization of the lesson plan, and the students? activity is suitable with the steps of the ?internalization model?; and 3) The teaching material is The effective viewed from (a) The mastery of students? study on aspects of moral sensitivity; (b) The increase of moral sensitivity shown by 80,98% students after the learning process, and (c) Students response towards the teaching material and implementation reaches 98,15%, categorized as very strong. The result of the study showed that the teaching material using internalization model on subject matter ?wave and sound? is valid, practical, and effective to increase moral sensitivity of student in Junior High School. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran model pemaknaan pada materi gelombang dan bunyi yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk melatihkan sensitivitas moral siswa SMP. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan model 4-D yang direduksi menjadi 3-D, yaitu define, design, dan develop dan diujicobakan di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ketapang dengan menggunakan One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode pengamatan, pemberian tes, dokumentasi dan penyebaran angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Temuan hasil penelitian, yaitu: 1) Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berkategori valid; 2) Kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan RPP dan aktivitas siswa sesuai dengan tahap-tahap pada model pemaknaan; dan 3) Perangkat pembelajaran efektif ditinjau dari: (a) Ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa pada aspek sensitivitas moral; (b) Peningkatan sensitivitas moral dengan kategori sensitif yang ditunjukkan 80,98% siswa setelah pembelajaran mencapai tingkatan sensitif, dan (c) Respon siswa terhadap perangkat dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran mencapai 98,15% dengan kriteria sangat kuat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran model pemaknaan pada materi gelombang dan bunyi valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk melatihkan sensitivitas moral siswa SMP.
