Abstract

The objective of this research is produce science learning tools that eligible for  the completeness of learning outcome student?s  at subject human motion system  on the junior high school. The development of this learning tools is based on 3-D model  by using test based on One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The test is conducted on eighth grade student of SMP Negeri Rasiei Teluk Wondama district-Papua Barat. The research consisted of two stages which is: 1) Developing the learning tools consisted of lesson plan, student?s book, and student?s worksheet, learning achievement test validated by experts. 2) the lesson learning tools which has been  validated by expert is a tested. The instrumental used including observational sheet of student?s activity, and student?s response questionnaire. He result of the research shows that: 1) the learning tools is valid; 2) the lesson plan accoplishment is categorized as good; 3) the student?s activities indicate tha they learn to actively build their own knowledge through a scientific approach; 4) the student?s responded positively to the learning process; 5) the student?s learning outcomes of attitude, knowledge, and skill aspects is accomplished. Based on the following results can be concluded that the science learning tools based scientific approach on human motion system is a valid, practical, and effective. Thus the science learning tools can be used on the learning process and proofed to be effective for the completeness of student?s learning outcome

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the effectiveness of learning materials on shape of the molecule with the real modeling supported by PhET media-based on guided discovery to facilitate the students? high-order-thinking skills at odd semester XI class of SMAN 10. This research is developmental research using 4D models. Thetest of the learning materials use one group pretest-posttest design. The results of validity syllabus (3.87), lesson plans (3.71), students? book (3.35), work sheet (3.63), and test of products (3.58) are categorized very good and reliability syllabus (99%), lesson plans (100%), students? book (89%), work sheet (100%), and test of products (100%) are categorized reliable. The Achievement test of higher-order thinking skills showed that the individuals completeness an average score of 82.79, the average sensitivity of items was 0.74 and the average individual gain score of 0.82. Students' response to the learning and teaching activities in average were well-categorized. Based on the findings of the study, it can be concluded that the shape of molecule with the real modeling supported by PhET media based on guided discovery?was effective to train the students' higher-order thinking skills.Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmendeskripsikan efektivitas perangkat pembelajaran bentuk molekul dengan pemodelan real ditunjang media PhET berbasis penemuan terbimbinguntuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa kelas XI semester ganjil SMAN 10 Samarinda pada materi bentuk molekul.Perangkat pembelajaran yang digunakan dikembangkan dengan model 4D. Perangkatpembelajaran di uji cobakan menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Validitas Silabus (3,87), RPP (3,71), BAS (3,35), LKS (3,63), dan LP Produk (3,58) berkategori sangat baik dan reliabilitas Silabus (99%), RPP (100%), BAS (89), LKS (100%), LP Produk (100%) berkategori reliabel. Tes hasil belajar keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi menunjukkan ketuntasan individual rata-rata 82,79, sensitivitas butir soal rata-rata 0,74 dan gain score individual rata-rata 0,82. Respon siswa terhadap perangkat pembelajaran dan kegiatan pembelajaran rata-rata baik.Berdasarkan temuan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran bentuk molekul dengan pemodelan real ditunjang media PhET berbasis model penemuan terbimbingefektif untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to produce physics learning material based on cooperative learning model type of Think-Pair-Share with mind map strategy that valid, practical, and effective to improve students learning achievement on optical instrument material. The development of learning material used the 4-D model and was tested in class VIII of islamics junior high school Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata in academic year 2015-2016 with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The result of this research are: 1) Learning material developed has a valid category an average score 3,51; (2) Learning material in terms of a practical category in feasibility of lesson plans and the students? activities in accordance with steps of cooperative model; (3) The learning material effective to improve students learning achievement; it were supported by the results of positive response of student?s toward learning as much as 83%; mastery study results showed an increase in the attitude aspect with high category, n-gain of knowledge aspect 0,81 with high category, n-gain of skill aspect 0,66 with medium category, and n-gain of mind map skill 0,67 with medium category. Based on the data analysis it had been concluded that the learning material cooperative learning model type of Think-Pair-Share with mind map strategy were feasible to be used in learning process to improve students learning achievement on science. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran model kooperatif tipe TPS dengan strategi mind map yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi alat-alat optik. Pengembangan perangkat menggunakan model 4-D dan diujicobakan di kelas VIII MTs Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan tahun ajaran 2015/2016 dengan one-group pretest-posttest design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) perangkat yang dikembangkan berkategori valid dengan skor rata-rata 3,51; 2) Perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori praktis dengan skor rata-rata 3,61 dan aktivitas siswa sesuai dengan tahapan-tahapan pada pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS; 3) Perangkat yang dikembangkan berkategori efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, hal ini didukung oleh hasil respon siswa positif terhadap pembelajaran sebesar 83%; ketuntasan hasil belajar pada aspek sikap dengan kategori sangat baik, ketuntasan hasil belajar aspek pengetahuan menunjukkan peningkatan dengan N-gain 0,81, kategori tinggi, ketuntasan hasil belajar aspek keterampilan proses sains menunjukkan peningkatan dengan N-gain 0,66, kategori sedang; dan ketuntasan hasil belajar aspek keterampilan membuat mind map menunjukkan peningkatan dengan N-gain 0,67, kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dengan strategi mind map layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Alat-alat Optik.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to compare the effectiveness of the guided discovery and the less structured discovery methods cognitive ability, free discovery skill, and autonomous character of the Junior High School. Forty Ponorogo Junior High School students have divided into two research classes were involved in this investigation using The Method of Science as the subject matter. The research was implemented in two phase, the development of the discovery learning resources, using the Kemp model, and the implementation of learning resources using the matching only pretest-posttest control group design (quasi experiment). From the hypothesis test (?: 0,005) showed that: (1)Cognitive skill of less structured discovery class higher than guided discovery class (Sig. 0.0025<?). The individual cognitive skill of guided discovery students increased from 20% to 65%, and for less structured discovery students increased from 10% to 80%; (2)Free discovery skill and autonomous character of less structured discovery class not higher than guided discovery class (free discovery skill Sig. 0,467>?; autonomous Sig.; 0,031; 0,028>?)  . Free discovery skill of guided discovery students increased from 20% to 80%, and that of less structured discovery students increased from 10% to 35%. The average percentage of autonomous character of guided discovery students ranges from 64,29% to 90,48%, and that of less structured discovery students ranges from 71,43% to 90,48%. The shortage of time allocation for the teaching and learning process was the main obstacle. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan tipe pembelajaran discovery (guided discovery dan less structured discovery) terhadap kemampuan kognitif, keterampilan free discovery, dan kemandirian siswa SMP. Subjek penelitian sejumlah 40 siswa yang dibagi dalam 2 kelas penelitian di SMP Negeri 1 Ponorogo kelas VII dengan materi pembelajaran metode ilmiah. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap, yakni tahap pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran discovery mengikuti rancangan Kemp dan tahap penerapan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan rancangan penelitian the matching only pretest-posttest control group design (quasi experiment). Hasil uji hipotesis (?: 0,005) menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Kemampuan kognitif kelas less structured discovery lebih tinggi dari kelas guided discovery (Sig. 0,0025<?). Pada kelas guided discovery, kemampuan kognitif berdasarkan ketuntasan individu mengalami peningkatan dari 20% menjadi 65% dan pada kelas less structured discovery mengalami peningkatan dari 10% menjadi 80%. 2) Keterampilan free discovery dan kemandirian siswa kelas less structured discovery tidak lebih tinggi dari kelas guided discovery (keterampilan free discovery Sig. 0,467> ?; kemandirian Sig. 0,031; 0,028>?). Pada kelas guided discovery, keterampilan free discovery mengalami peningkatan dari 20% menjadi 80% dan pada kelas less structured discovery mengalami peningkatan dari 10% menjadi 35%. Rata-rata persentase kemandirian pada kelas guided discovery bervariasi 64,29%  hingga 90,48% dan kelas less structured discovery antara 71,43%  hingga 90,48%. Waktu menjadi hambatan utama dalam penelitian ini sehingga dibutuhkan pengalokasian yang lebih baik pada setiap tahapan pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aimed to obtain instrument to detect student?s comprehension text on the atomic structure of eligible on validity, reliability, and clarity in the language. The required of validity include: construction, content, psychometric, and predictive validity, and use simple language (straightforward). This instrument was developed following stages: (1) the development of specifications test, (2) writing a matter, (3) a review a matter, (4) assembly a matter (for testing purposes), (5) the trial tests, (6) items analysis, and (7) the selection and assembly matter. The variables in this study include: construct, content, clarity of sentences and grammar, psychometric (item validity, difficulty index, different power, and reliability), and predictive validity. To getting the predictive variables are needed another variable that distinguished the predictor variables and the criterion variable. Predictor variables consist of the ability of perception on the structure of atoms and  the criterion variable is the number of misconceptions students on the concepts of atomic structure. The subject of research for content validity, construct and directness languages are experts in relevant fields to the product of developed instrument, who are  4 (four) chemistry lecturer for instruments which is includes chemistry concepts. The subject of research for psychometric and predictive validity is 130 students of class XI on SMAN 1 Sumberrejo and SMAN Model Terpadu, Bojonegoro. Connectivity test to measure comprehension text to  the number of misconceptions experienced by students was done using descriptive and inferential analysis used X2 test. The results showed that instrument to detect student?s comprehension text was feasible on validity (construction, content, and linguistic), psychometric, reliability, and predictive validity. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh intrumen pendeteksi pemahaman wacana siswa pada struktur atom yang memenuhi syarat validitas, reliabilitas, dan kelugasan dalam bahasa. Validitas yang dipersyaratkan meliputi validitas konstruksi, validitas isi, validitas psikometrik, dan validitas prediktif, serta menggunakan bahasa yang sederhana (lugas). Intrumen ini dikembangkan mengikuti tahapan: (1) pengembangan spesifikasi tes, (2) penulisan soal, (3) penelaahan soal, (4) perakitan soal (untuk keperluan uji coba), (5) uji coba tes, (6) analisis butir soal, dan (7) seleksi dan perakitan soal. Variabel dalam penelitian ini antara lain: validitas konstruk, validitas isi, kelugasan kalimat dan tata tulis, validitas psikometrik (validitas butir, indeks kesukaran, daya beda, dan reliabilitas), dan validitas prediktif. Untuk mendapatkan variabel prediktif dibutuhkan variabel lain yang dibedakan atas variabel prediktor dan variabel kriterium. Variabel prediktor terdiri atas kemampuan siswa memahami wacana pada struktur atom dan sebagai variabel kriterium adalah jumlah miskonsepsi siswa pada konsep-konsep struktur atom. Subyek penelitian untuk validitas isi, konstruk dan kelugasan bahasa adalah para ahli di bidang yang relevan dengan produk instrumen yang dikembangkan,  yang dalam penelitian ini adalah 4 (empat) orang dosen kimia untuk instrumen yang di dalamnya memuat konsep-konsep kimia. Subjek penelitian untuk validitas psikometrik dan validitas prediktif adalah 130 orang siswa kelas XI dari SMAN Sumberrejo dan SMAN Model Terpadu, kabupaten Bojonegoro. Uji keterhubungan data ukur pemahaman wacana siswa terhadap data ukur jumlah miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa dilakukan secara diskriptif dan secara inferensial menggunakan uji X2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intrumen pendeteksi pemahaman wacana siswa telah memenuhi validitas logis (validitas konstruksi, validitas isi, dan kebahasaan), validitas psikometrik, reliabilitas, dan validitas prediktif.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is produced Students? Worksheet (LKS) which valid, practice, and effective to support the learning biology materials using a guided inquiry model. The development of worksheets is using ADDIE (analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate) models and being implemented in XI Grade senior high of Trensains Tebuireng Jombang on odd semester of 2016/2017 academic year with the One-group pretest-posttest design. The validity of the worksheet is measured from consistency (construct validity) and relevant (content validity aspects) based on expert assessment with a minimum score of 2.60 (Valid). Practicality worksheet is measured from students? activities and Students? activities can be avowed good by minimum 65% of percentage. The effectiveness of the learning device is measured by its impact of the increasing of students? learning result in a pilot implementation or final implementation class as well as student?s response. Meanwhile, the learning device can be avowed effective if there are significant improvement scores of students? learning process in knowledge aspect. The responses of students are measured by the percentage of students? responses "Yes" in every aspect of the questionnaire with a minimum score of 61% of percentage. The validity and practicality of the data are analyzed descriptively while the increasing of learning cognitive aspects results are analyzed inferentially by using the paired t-test. Based on the data analysis results can be concluded that the development of learning device are valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are to develop science learning material based on Curriculum 2013 to try science literacy of students in junior high school and then describe it. The learning material is developed by adapting Dick and Carey development model and the research design is One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Try out of this research uses sample that are consist of 21 students with 2 observers and 2 validators. Research findings showed that component of learning material that are developed are valid, 80% score in readability and 10,6% score in difficulty. The learning material is practical in learning process. Average score of all activities in learning implementation is 3,6 with very good category. The learning material is also effective to try skill of student?s science literacy until 4th levels. Students involve in learning process actively and give positive response in those learning. The conclusion of this research is science learning material based on curriculum 2013 in fluids pressure and it application in daily life matter can be used to try science literacy of students in class VIII Junior High School properly.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis Kurikulum 2013 untuk melatih literasi sains siswa SMP dan kemudian mendeskripsikannya. Perangkat dikembangkan dengan mengadaptasi model pengembangan Dick and Carey, sedangkan rancangan uji coba yang digunakan adalah One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Penelitian uji coba  ini menggunakan sampel 21 siswa dengan 2 orang pengamat serta 2 validator. Temuan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komponen perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah valid, memiliki tingkat keterbacaan sebesar 80% dan tingkat kesulitan yang rendah yaitu 10,6%. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dihasilkan praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran yang terlihat dari tingginya skor rata-rata kesuluruhan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran adalah 3,6 dengan kategori sangat baik. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan juga efektif untuk melatih kemampuan literasi sains siswa sampai pada level 4. Begitu pula dengan aktivitas siswa yang dominan aktif dalam pembelajaran, siswa juga memberikan respon positif terhadap kegiatan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian uji coba ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis Kurikulum 2013 materi tekanan zat cair dan penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari layak digunakan untuk melatih literasi sains siswa SMP kelas VIII.

Abstract

Research development of chemistry teaching materials inquiry model with scientific approach has been done by using 4-D model which aims to increase the student concept mastery and critical thinking skills on coloid topic at senior high school. The research subject of teaching materials which tested on student of science class 11th grade in senior high school 6 Surabaya with one-group pretest-posttest design, the results from the research show that the lesson implementation plan, the student?s book and student?s worksheet were feasible, then the validation instrument were valid.  Implementation of lesson plan was good, the activity of student in learning process has increased highly, students gave the positive response to learning process, as well as concept mastery and practicing critical thinking has been achieved. The conclusion of this research, show that the chemistry teaching materials of inquiry model with scientific approach is feasible and able to increase concept mastering and practicing critical thinking of students in Senior High School. Telah dilakukan penelitian pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran model inkuiri dengan pendekatan scientific yang menggunakan 4-D model dan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi koloid di SMA. Subyek penelitian perangkat pembelajaran yang diujicobakan pada siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 6 Surabaya dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest, sedangkan data hasil penelitian yang diperoleh sebagai berikut: validasi RPP, buku siswa dan LKS berkategori layak, tes penguasaan konsep dan tes berpikir kritis berkategori valid. Keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori baik. Aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan yang tinggi, Siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap proses pembelajaran, serta ketuntasan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan berpikir kritis telah tercapai. Simpulan penelitian ini, bahwa perangkat pembelajaran kimia model inkuiri dengan pendekatan scientific layak dan dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan melatih berpikir kritis siswa SMA.

Abstract

The objective this research is to implement a concept maps as a learning strategy and Cognitive Diagnostic Assessment (CDA) using TPS? Cooperative Learning Model. The subject of this research were X TITL 1, X TKJ 2, and X TKR 4 of SMK 1 Kediri on the subject of chemical reactions with One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The implementation of lesson plan is well categorized, the most dominant student activity is working in pairs, there is the changing of students? concept understanding level. The value of the correlation between the score of concept maps and learning outcomes is 0.7, it can be interpreted that the higher score in the concept map, the higher of learning outcomes. It can be concluded that concept maps can implement  using  TPS? cooperative learning model as a learning strategies and  Cognitive Diagnostic Assessment (CDA).Penelitian ini bertujuan   mengimplementasikan peta konsep menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif TPS sebagai strategi belajar dan Cognitive Diagnostic Assessment (CDA). Subyek penelitian ini adalah kelas X TITL 1, X TKJ 2, dan X TKR 4 SMKN 1 Kediri  pokok  bahasan  Reaksi  Kimia  dengan  rancangan  penelitian  One Group  Pretest-Posttest  design.  Temuan hasil penelitian yakni keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori baik, aktivitas siswa yang dominan ad alah bekerja berpasangan, adanya perubahan tingkat pemahaman konsep siswa. Nilai korelasi antara skor peta konsep dan nilai hasil belajar lebih dari 0,7, dapat  disimpulkan semakin tinggi skor peta konsep semakin tinggi pula nilai hasil belajar.   Disimpulan bahwa peta konsep dapat diimplementasikan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif TPS Cognitive Diagnostic Assessment (CDA).

Abstract

The aims of this study were to develop teaching materials using 5E model of instruction to increase students? higher order thinking skills and to describe their feasibility. The teaching materials (i.e. lesson plan, student worksheet, and higher order thinking skills test) were developed using 4-D model that was proposed by Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel. The subject of this study were the developed teaching materials that were tried out to undergraduate students of Biology Department, University of Muhamadiyah Surabaya (UMS) and undergraduate students of Chemistry Department, State University of Surabaya (UNESA). The developmental testing was designed using the one-group pretest and posttest design with three times replication. Additionally, each replication used about 15 undergraduate students. Data were collected using experts? appraisal, observation, test, and questionnaire and analyzed quantitatively and descriptive qualitatively. The findings of this study indicated that the developed teaching materials were feasible. They were valid according to experts? appraisal, and they were practice and effective to be implemented in the classroom. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar menggunakan model pembelajaran 5E untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berfikir tingkat tinggi siswa serta mendeskripsikan kelayakan bahan ajar tersebut. Bahan ajar dalam penelitian ini dikembangkan dengan menggunakan  model 4-D yang diusulkan oleh Thiagarajan, Semmel dan Semmel. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah bahan ajar yang telah dikembangkan dan diuji cobakan kepada mahasiswa tahun pertama angkatan 2014 di Jurusan Biologi, Universitas Muhamadiyah Surabaya (UMS) dan di Jurusan Kimia, Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA). Desain penelitian yang digunakan ketika uji coba bahan ajar adalah one-group pretest and posttest dengan replikasi sebanyak tiga kali. Selain itu, untuk setiap replikasi menggunakan sekitar 15 mahasiswa. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan penilaian ahli, observasi, tes, dan kuesioner serta dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Penemuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria kelayakan, yaitu valid menurut pendapat para ahli, praktis dan efektif ketika diuji cobakan di dalam kelas.
