Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic prevention policy in Indonesia has had an influence on economic activity nationally on the performance of the banking sector. The Financial Services Authority issued a policy regarding Credit Restructuring regulations to encourage optimization of banking performance, especially the intermediation function in credit placement in the business sector. The credit risk factor as measured by Non-Performing Loans (NPL) which arose because of policies during the pandemic became a benchmark for banking ability to carry out operational operations. This study aims to see the effect of the indicators of Credit Distribution and Credit Restructuring on NPL Performance during the Covid-19 pandemic. The samples used in this study were four state-owned banks that are members of the Association of State-Owned Banks. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach using time series data for the 2020-2022 period and using the multiple linear regression analysis method to review the effect of Credit Distribution and Credit Restructuring on NPL performance at the Association of State-Owned Banks during the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of this study are that Credit Distribution has a significant negative effect on NPL and Restructured Credit has no significant positive effect on NPL during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The evaluation of the performance of mutual funds can define how competitive mutual funds are with other investment mutual funds on the market, thus it is crucial to pay attention to this development. In order for mutual fund performance to rise steadily each year in the future, research on the variables that can make them more competitive must be conducted. This study aimed to investigate the impact of inflation, fund age, and fund size variables on Indonesian mutual fund performance from 2018 to 2021. Equity funds operating in Indonesia and registered with the Financial Services Authority between 2018 and 2021 made up the study's sample. In this study, a sample of 30 equity funds was obtained through purposive sampling. Multiple linear regression analysis was employed for the study's data analysis. The findings of this study suggest that fund size influences mutual fund performance favourably. According to this study, a mutual fund's age has no bearing on how well it performs. The performance of mutual funds is said to be negatively impacted by the inflation variable in this study.

Abstract

This research is a response to the increasing percentage of female boards of directors in banking companies, as well as the lack of research related to gender diversity on banking credit risk and profitability. Gender diversity is observed using dummy variables, credit risk using non-performing loans, and profitability using return on assets. This study involved 112 samples and was analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study show empirical evidence that the presence of the board of directors has a significant negative effect on credit risk and a positive effect on profitability. This research can be used as a consideration for shareholders when appointing the board of directors.

Abstract

This study intends to examine the consequences of the conflict between Russia versus Ukraine in the Indonesian economy. The conceptual framework of this research refers to Peterson's theory with qualitative descriptive methods. There are five indicators in this study, namely supply chain, banking system, economic growth, stock markets, and rising inflation. The result is that the supply chain, economic growth, the Indonesian stock market and inflation are adversely affected by the conflict. Meanwhile, the banking system was not adversely affected, because the Indonesian side carefully did not make a decision to impose sanctions or prefer a neutral policy (non-block). This makes Russia not consider Indonesia as a target for the cyberbanking system, and maintain good cooperation in country business.
