Teacher quality is an important factor in determining the growth and development of a nation. Therefore, the process of selecting and recruiting Civil Servant teachers play an important role in ensuring in Indonesia. This study aims to explore the process employed in the select candidate for civil servant teachers in Indonesia and to discover teacher perceptions’ of the system. This study involved five (5) voluntary civil servant science teachers in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The study design employs a case study with the Miles and Huberman model to analyze the data. An online interview approach was used to collect the data. The result indicates that all participants believed that the selection and recruitment system is transparent. In addition, the challenge in the form of an insufficient budget causes the issue of shortage of teaching staff in Indonesia to become an issue that is still valid today. What needs to be done to overcome this problem is that the government needs to increase the budget in the process of selecting and recruiting civil servant teachers in Indonesia.

This study aims to obtain information about the morphological characters (morphometric and meristic) and the maturity level of the gonads of pepudah fish in North Lombok. The data relating to the morphology obtained is expected to be used as basic information in management and cultivation activities in the future. Data collection was carried out in the basic science laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries, University of 45 Mataram. Morphometric and meristic data were obtained by measuring and calculating the morphological characters present in the pepudah fish and followed by the t-test to see the growth pattern. Gonad maturity data were obtained by comparing the TKG value with the GSI value. The results of the morphological data obtained indicate that the pepudah fish obtained in the Sokong River have a negative allometric growth pattern and are still in their infancy.

Hydrocarbons are organic compounds consisting of carbon and hydrogen. Petroleum in particulary lubricant oil is a group of hydrocarbon compounds which can be grouped into aliphatic, alicyclic, and aromatic hydrocarbons. The use of oil as a lubricant will leaving used lumbricant oil that if not managed properly will cause environmental pollution. This research aims to isolate and identifying of hydrocarbon degrading bacteria from used lubricant oil. Type of research is descriptve explorative with qualitative approach. Isolation is done by adding the sample of used lubricant oil into the NA medium (Natrient Agar) by observing the clear zone formed. Bacterial identification is done by observing morphology and biochemical activity. Four isolates were obtain and two of them were selected to identification are isolate I and III. The result from bacterial identification was performed based on morphological and biochemical characterization show isolate I is Bacillus brevis and isolate III is Bacillus macerans.

Literasi sains merupakan kemampuan yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa pada abad 21. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar dan literasi sains siswa melalui pembelajaran menggunakan inkuiri terbimbing pada materi pakan ternak unggas. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan melibatkan 20 orang siswa kelas X. tekhnik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument essay yang berjumlah 20 soal yang mengacu pada indikator hasil belajar dan literasi sains. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketuntasan klasikal siswa hasil belajar pada siklus I sebesar 27% dan meningkat menjadi 88% pada siklus II, sedangkan literasi sains pada siklus I sebesar 30% dan meningkat menjadi 75%. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan literasi sains siswa

This study aims to describe and analyze student learning outcomes in online and offline biology learning at SMAN 1 Padang, West Sumatra. This type of research is descriptive research with the sampling technique used being total sampling. The research sample was 555 students of class X MIPA in 2019 and 2020. The data collection technique in this study used documentation and interview techniques. The data of this research used documents of student learning outcomes and interviews with one of the biology subject teachers. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the percentage of students' complete learning outcomes in offline biology learning is 87% with effective qualifications. (2) the percentage of complete learning outcomes of students in online biology learning is 65% with quite effective qualifications. (3) the percentage of learning completeness in offline biology learning has reached a predetermined percentage, while online biology learning has not yet reached the predetermined percentage of learning completeness. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that in SMA Negeri 1 Padang offline biology learning is more effective than online biology learning

Based on PISA data, it shows that the scientific literacy position of Indonesian students is still in the last 10th rank compared to other countries. This shows the lack of skills of Indonesian students in solving PISA questions because in the learning process the assessment instruments used in schools have not reached the criteria for scientific literacy competence. This study aims to produce an assessment instrument based on environmental-change science literacy in class X students that is valid, practical, has varying levels of difficulty, has good discriminatory power, and is reliable. This type of research is research and development with a 4-D development model. The research subjects consisted of 47 students of class X of SMAN 16 Batam and the validators consisted of 2 lecturers of FMIPA UNP and 1 teacher of SMAN 16 Batam. This study resulted in a logically valid scientific literacy-based assessment instrument (85.26%). The results of the practical test of scientific literacy-based assessment instruments by teachers and students respectively were an average score of 82.77% (teachers) and 82.44% (students). The results of the analysis of instrument items using ANATES Version 4.09 are: on multiple choice questions of 0.40-0.69 (medium to high correlation), and very high reliability (0.90); on the questions of description, compound, and attitude of 0.34-0.80 (low to high correlation), and very high reliability (0.81). In the test of discrimination power of questions and the level of difficulty of the questions, the scores are quite varied.

This study aims to develop a biology module based on CTL (contextual teaching and learning) for class X IPA MA NW Pringga Jurang Utara students. This development research refers to the ADDIE development model which is carried out through five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Product development results are validated and assessed by 1 material expert, and 1 media expert. Limited trials in this study were given to 12 students of class X IPA MA NW Pringga Jurang Utara. The instrument in this study was a checklist questionnaire. Data analysis was performed by scoring using a Likert scale, then calculating the average for each aspect. The results of the material expert's assessment were 78% and the results of the media expert's assessment were 97%. While the results of the student response questionnaire were in the very feasible category, namely 87%. Thus this module is suitable for use as teaching material in the biology learning process.

The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on almost all aspects of life, one of which is education. One of the efforts made by the government in the education aspect is the implementation of online learning. Changes in learning methods that were originally carried out offline or face-to-face to online learning experienced several constraints in the implementation process for both teachers and students. This study aims to determine the constraints of high school students in online biology learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The type of research conducted is descriptive research with a sample of students of class XI and XII MIPA at SMA Excellent Nurul Ikhlas. The data collection technique in this study used a survey technique using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire given to 40 students. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis. The results showed that the percentage of constraints experienced by students in the implementation of online biology learning, namely: (1) quota and internet network 40%, (2) communication limitations 25%, (3) difficulties in understanding material 25%, and (4) lack of focus/tasks accumulate 10%. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the biggest obstacles experienced by students in online learning at SMA Excellent Nurul Ikhlas are quotas and internet networks.

The problem behind this research is the way students learn who tend to only read and memorize textbooks. The teaching materials used by schools only rely on textbooks. This study aims to produce SAS based on problem-solving in the digestive system material in humans that is valid and practical. The SAS was validated by lecturers in the biology department of FMIPA UNP and biology teacher at SMAN 1 Panyabungan Selatan. The practicality of this product was carried out by one biology teacher and fifty students at SMAN 1 Panyabungan Selatan. As a result, problem-solving-based worksheets were developed using 3 stages of the 4D model, namely the define stage by analyzing learning needs using the curriculum, the design stage by Designing SAS components, and the Develop stage which aims to produce valid and practical SAS. The value of validity is 92.02% with very valid criteria, practicality by teachers is 90.38% with the criteria is very feasible and students are 89.28% with very feasible criteria. Based on this study, it can be concluded that Student Activity Sheets (SAS) based on problem-solving have been produced on the material of digestive system in humans in class XI of SMAN 1 Panyabungan Selatan which are valid and practical.

Implementation of learning is one of the main tasks of teachers to teach students. The intended learning is the creation of conditions that allow it to occur in students. Learning will improve cognitive, affective, and psychomotor abilities, these abilities are accompanied by experience gained during the learning process that applies anywhere and anytime and can be applied in everyday life. One of the materials for class XI that is difficult for students to understand is the material on the digestive system. One way that can be done is to make it easier for students to understand the material on the digestive system by developing Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) oriented student worksheets teaching materials, with this worksheet students can relate learning materials to everyday life. Student worksheet (LKPD) development is carried out using 3 stages of 4-D model development. The stages are defined, design, and develop. The data collection instruments used were validity and response questionnaires. The student worksheets were validated by 3 validators and a response test was conducted on 25 students of class XI and one Biology teacher at SMA Negeri 2 Lembang Jaya. This research produces student worksheets with Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) orientation on the digestive system material for class XI. The results of the validity of the student worksheets obtained 91.78% with very valid criteria both in terms of the feasibility of content, language, presentation, and graphics. The results of the teacher's assessment of the practicality of the student worksheets obtained an average of 93.28% with practical criteria and an average student assessment of 86.65% with very practical criteria in terms of ease of use, efficient learning time, and benefits. It can be concluded that the student worksheets (LKPD) oriented to Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) with a valid category and the responses of teachers and students about its practicality are included in the very practical category.
