Abstract

This study aims to identify the science process skills (KPS) through the application of the 5E Learning Cycle in students of Islamic Senior High School (MA) NW Lenek Lauq. The type of research is a quase experiment with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were all MA NW Lenek Lauq students. The sample of this study was class X IPA-1 and X IPA-2 which were taken using purposive sampling technique. Class X IPA-1 numbered 27 people as an experimental class treated with the Learning Cycle 5E model and class X IPA 2 numbered 23 people as a control class treated with the conventional model. The research instrument used was a science process skills test, a KPS test in the form of pre-test and post-test and observation sheet of the implementation of learning. Data analysis in this study used the t-test to determine the effect of the 5E learning cycle on science process skills. The results obtained an average value of the experimental class 51.41 (pre-test) to 82.52 (post-test), while the control class from 49.74 (pre-test) to 65.22 (post-test). Based on the results of the analysis of the hypothesis test with the t-test obtained a significance value of 0.000, which is smaller than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05), which is that there is a significant effect of the Learning Cycle 5E model on KPS (H0 rejected). The conclusion from the results of this study is that there is an influence of the 5E learning cycle model on students' science process skills (KPS).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of concentration and soaking time of bean sprout extract on eggplant germination. The research method is an experiment that uses a completely randomized design (CRD) with 2 factors. The first factor is the concentration of bean sprout consisting of 5 levels (0% or control, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%) and the second factor is the duration of soaking which consists of 3 levels (6 hours, 9 hours and 12 hours ). The data obtained were analyzed using univariate analysis, and if the treatment had a significant effect, further tests were carried out using LSD with a level of 5%. The results showed that the concentration and soaking time affected the eggplant germination by measuring parameters namely hypocotyl length and root length of eggplant plants with significance respectively below 0.05 namely 0.008 and 0.005. Concentration and duration of immersion were most influential on the measurement parameters of hypocotyl length of eggplant plants, namely at a concentration of 30% and soaking time of 12 hours with an average length of 5.67 cm. Concentration and duration of immersion were most influential on the parameters of root length measurements of eggplant plants, namely at a concentration of 20% and 12 hours soaking time with an average length of 4.1 cm. The conclusion from the results of this study is the concentration and soaking time have a significant effect on eggplant germination by measuring parameters namely hypocotyl length and root length of eggplant plants.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of project base learning (PjBL) to the critical thinking skills of class X students of SMAN 2 Sape. This research is a quase experiment with a non equivalent pretest posttest control group design. The population in this study were all students of class X and the samples of this study were class XA and XB using simple random sampling techniques. Class XA as a control class with group discussion techniques and class XB as an experimental class treated with Project-Based Learning. The research instrument used was a matter of critical thinking with pretest and posttest. The results showed that from the results of the analysis of the hypothesis test with a regression test obtained a significance value of critical thinking 0,000 less than 0.05 (0.00 <0.05), meaning that there was a significant effect of PjBL on students' critical thinking abilities. The conclusion from this study is that there is an effect of Project-Based learning on students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatahui pengaruh pendekatan Jelajah Alam Sekitar (JAS) metode jigsaw terhadap hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa kelas VII MTs Al-Faturrahman Desa Jeringo. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi eksprimen). Metode pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen pre-test, post-test dan angket motivasi. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII MTs Al-Faturrahman Desa Jeringo yang berjumlah 66 siswa yang terdiri dari 2 kelas dengan masing-masing kelas 33 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan Jelajah Alam Sekitar (JAS) model jigsaw dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa kelas VII MTs Al-Faturrahman Desa Jeringo.

Abstract

Bacteriological water pollution is an event that still often occurs, namely the entry of microorganisms originating from human feces or animal droppings into clean water sources. The dug well is clean water facilities that are still used by the average Indonesian population with a lower middle economic level. One of the things that affects the quality of water from a dug well is the distance of the latrine. This is because the closer the water source is to the source of the pollutant, the easier the source of the pollutant seeps into the well following the flow of ground water in the center of the well. The purpose of this study was to look at the bacteriological content of dug well water based on the distance of the latrine to the dug well water source. This type of research used in this study is an experimental research that is research conducted by measuring the distance of dug wells with a toilet and measurement of bacteriological quality of dug well water. The results of the study revealed that the distance of the dug wells with latrines within 10 meters, 5 meters, 2 meters has different bacteriological content. Dug wells which are 10 meters in distance with latrines have a total number of coliforms of 350 MPN / 100 ml, dug wells that are 5 meters in distance with latrines have a number of coliforms 27 MPN / 100 ml, dug wells that are 2 meters in distance with latrines have a number of coliforms of 1600 MPN / 100 ml.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the Learning Starts With A Question (LSQ) model on learning outcomes of Class VIII students of the Islamic Junior High School of Sa'adatuddarain NW Majuwet 2019/2020 school year. This type of research is quasi-experimental. The research design used was a post test only control design. The population in this study were all students of class VIII Islamic Junior High School of Sa'adatuddarain NW Majuwet in Academic Year of 2019/2020. The samples were all students of VIIIth grade in amounts of 41 students which had been divided into 2 classes. VIII A class amounting to 21 people as an experimental class while VIIIB class, amounting to 20 students as a control class. The independent variable in this study was the application of the LSQ (Learning Start with a Question) model while the dependent variable was the learning outcomes. Based on the results of the study, the average value of student learning outcomes with the application of LSQ of 76,19 while with the conventional method of 66,25. Based on the hypothesis test using the t test that is tcount = 4.86>ttable = 2.04. Thus, from the results of the study above, it can be concluded that the learning model of learning start with a question has a significant effect on learning outcomes of students of class VIII of Islamic Junior School Sa'addatuddarain of NW Majuwet.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the creative thinking ability of Class X MA NW Sukamulia students by applying the problem solving learning model to virus material. This type of research is a quasi experiment with the design of Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. The population and sample of this study were all students of class X taken using the sample random sampling technique. Class X A as an experimental class and class X B as a control class. The research data were obtained from the pretest and posttest results of the experimental class and the control class. The results of data analysis obtained the average value of the analysis of creative thinking indicators 1. Smooth thinking average value of post test experimental class> control class (67.42> 59.09) 2. Think broadly of the experimental class> control class (61.69> 53.90) 3. Think original experimental class> control class (66.67> 43.94) 4. Thinking in detail the experimental class> control class (63.64> 46.97). Based on the results of the analysis of hypothesis testing with the Independent Sample t test, it shows that the posttest value of Tcount>Ttable or 3.020> 1.71714. This shows that by applying the problem solving learning model can improve students' creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Mangroves are vegetations that are still affected by tides with unique properties and shapes, and diverse functions for living things and the environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the composition and structure of mangrove vegetation in the Sereweh bay. This research is a quantitative descriptive using the plot path method with a plot area of ​​20x20 m2 (trees), 10x10 m2 (poles), 5x5 m2 (saplings) and 2x2 m2 (seedlings). The results showed that the composition of mangrove vegetation found in the Sereweh bay was quite diverse consisting of 7 (seven) families with a total of 13 species namely: Avicennia lanata, Lumnitzera racemosa, Exceocaria agallocha, Phemphis acidula, Bruguiera gymnorrizha, Ceriop decandra, Ceriop tagal, Rhizophora, Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizopora stylosa, Scyphiphora hydrophyllaceae, Sonneratia alba, and Sonneratia caseolaris. The significance value index of the seedlings stratum is dominated by Rhizophora apiculata (88.22%), Rhizopora stylosa (49.78%) and Ceriop tagal (13.93%). Whereas the the significance value index of saplings stratum was dominated by Rhizopora stylosa (43.28%), Sonneratia alba (40.89%) and Ceriop tagal (32.25%). The significance value index of the poles strata are dominated by Sonneratia alba (89.89%), Avicennia lanata (51.72%) and Rhizophora apiculata (43.94%). Whereas the significance value index tree strata were dominated by Sonneratia alba (128.01%), Sonneratia caseolaris (73.17%), and Avicennia lanata (39.81%). The Shannon-Wiener (H') diversity index of 13 species of mangrove in Sereweh Bay 1,8480 which can be categorized as quite good (medium) and the highest diversity index on all species are Rhizophora apiculata (0.3677), Rhizopora stylosa (0.3306) and Sonneratia alba (0.2565).

Abstract

Experimental research aims to determine the influence of mixed feed S. Molesta with different composition on the growth of Clarias Sp. The treatment carried out on this study included 3 different compositions of the S. Molesta flour is treatment A composition of the addition of S. Molesta is different from 20.62 grams (to reach A protein 30%), B treatment of S. Molesta composition given at 13.34 grams (to achieve protein 40%), and the treatment C composition of S. Molesta of 6, 05 gram (to reach protein 50%) and control (feeding factory F782). From the results of the study showed that the influence of artificial feed S. Molesta is best at treatment A and the lowest at the treatment of C. Based on research conducted the average weight increase Clarias SP is in the treatment of A 0.781 grams and the most significant increase in the length of the average in treatment A (30% protein) increased by 0.433 cm. Friedman test results show there is a difference in weight and length Clarias sp which is given the treatment of feed A, B and C and feed the plant (P > 0.05). The conclusion of the study was the influence of the feed mix S. Molesta to Growth Clarias SP age enlargement.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find the temporal distribution pattern of the visiting of Arthropods on these wild plants. This descriptive and explorative research was carried out in the Wonosari tea plantation, Singosari, Malang in March 2011. The visual control method for these purposes was adopted from the modification of the visual control method developed by Frei and Manhart (1992). Observations were done with 10 repeats, consisting of 10 tempos with 15 minutes duration. Data relating to the temporal distribution of Arthropods on these wild plants were presented as diagrams and interpreted descriptively. The result of this research can be described as follows: There was a difference between the temporal distribution of Arthropod visiting the wild plants Centella asiatica L. and Synedrella nodiflora (L) Gaertn. For the Centella asiatica L the highest visitor number was at 10.00 am while for the wild plant Synedrella nodiflora (L) Gaertn it was at 11.20 am.
