Abstract

The implementation of a hospital management information system at the 'Aisyiyah Padang public hospital opens opportunities for academics to conduct research and experiments. The amount of data stored in the information system database can be used as an alternative for decision making by hospital management, including medical record data for patients who go to the hospital. Existing medical record data can be summarized and presented visually in the form of a dashboard according to the needs of the hospital. Dashboard can provide an overview to management to determine future policies or as a decision support system. This study aims to create a dashboard that can be used as a decision support system. This type of research is descriptive with the subject of medical record data in the database. From the research that has been done, it is found that the number of outpatient patients in 2021 is 23,635 patients. Of this number, the 3 insurers for the most patients were the Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) with 19,834 patients, Umum with 3,551 patients and Smile Train with 69 patients. For the 3 doctors who treat the most patients, Dr. Lisa Oktamuva, Sp.PD as many as 3284 patients, dr. Yanasta Moendanoe, Sp.OG with 3112 patients, and drg. Abstract

Background: LBW is one of the highest causes of neonatal death in developing countries. Indonesia ranks 8th based on the number of neonatal deaths per year according to WHO data. The Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in Indonesia in 2019 was 72,000 babies and 19% of deaths were caused by premature and LBW babies. Many cases of death in LBW occur because babies who experience LBW are susceptible to exposure to nosocomial infections, tend to have co-morbidities and the body's organs are not ready to face the external environment and case management is not optimal. One cheap and easy solution that can be done when a baby has LBW is to apply the Kangaroo Method of Care (PMK). Methods: The design used in this study is Traditional Literature Review obtained from 3 data based, namely Pubmed, Science Direct, Google Scholar using inclusion and exclusion criteria. Keywords used in the literature search: Kangaroo-Mother care Method and Weight Gain and Infant, Low Birth Weight. Of the 14 journals found, the journal selection was carried out using PICOS, then analyzed one by one with the results of 12 journals from Google Scholar data and 2 journals from PubMed data. Results: The results of the article review found that the Kangaroo Method Treatment can be carried out in LBW from the age of 0 days with a minimum administration time of 1 hour a day, the implementation must be in accordance with the readiness of the mother and baby, and the maximum application can increase the baby's weight. Conclusion: Kangaroo-Mother care has been proven to be effective in increasing body weight in LBW babies so that FMD can be intervened in LBW babies

Abstract

The age of menstruation has shifted to a younger age if the first period begins before reaching 12 years old. Early menstruation in young girls can be caused by obesity, which is a result of excess fat intake. Consuming foods rich in fat can lead to increased fat storage in the body when not utilized as an energy source, subsequently elevating leptin hormone levels. This study aims to determine the impact of obesity on the occurrence of early menstruation among female students at SMP Negeri 4 Watampone, Kabupaten Bone. The utilized method is quantitative, employing a Cross-Sectional design. The population for this research consists of all female seventh-grade students at SMPN 4 Watampone, Kabupaten Bone, totaling 108 individuals. The sample size selected based on inclusion criteria was 47 respondents. The findings of this study indicate that out of 30 respondents with normal Body Mass Index (BMI), 27 respondents (90%) experienced menarche at the age of 12, and 3 respondents (17.6%) experienced menarche between the ages of 9 and 11. Additionally, among 17 respondents with excessive BMI, 3 respondents (10%) had menarche at the age of 12, while 14 respondents (82.4%) experienced menarche between the ages of 9 and 11.The analysis results reveal a significant correlation between obesity and the prevalence of early menstruation (ρ = 0.000, ρ < 0.05). Therefore, it is recommended that the school authorities enhance students' knowledge regarding the importance of nutrition and maintaining a healthy adolescent lifestyle. This information should be sourced from various reliable channels, including both teachers and healthcare professionals in the field of reproductive health..

Abstract

An unhealthy lifestyle can lead to chronic diseases, one of which is diabetes such as smoking habits, excessive alcohol consumption and careless eating habits. Diabetes is a non-communicable disease caused by the pancreas not functioning properly to produce insulin normally. HbA1c is a glycated hemoglobin and a subfraction resulting from the binding of a different glucose molecule to the HbA molecule (hemoglobin in adults), which increases with the average blood sugar concentration. This study aims to look at the differences in HbA1c levels in venous blood with the EDTA and Heparin immunofluency methods. The type of research used is pure experiment. This research was conducted in the Clinical Pathology Laboratory (PK) IKesT Muhammadiyah Palembang with a total of 29 samples. The results of research that has been done on Examination of HbA1c Levels Using Venous Blood with EDTA Anticoagulant and Heparin Immunofluency Method can be concluded that the average HbA1C value in the EDTA Anticoagulant sample is 7.9%, while the average HbA1C value in the Heparin Anticoagulant sample is 7. 8%. The Wilcoxon test obtained a p value ≤0.050 with a value of 0.021. The conclusion of this study was that there were differences in HbA1C levels in the EDTA and Heparin anticoagulant samples. Examination of HbA1c levels should use EDTA and Heparin anticoagulants because there are no anticoagulant particles that can affect the results of the examination and can provide accurate results because getting the average value of HbA1c levels is not too far away

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) remains Indonesia's leading infectious disease. Hepatotoxicity is the most common side effect of TB first-line medication therapy in TB patients. GSTM1 and GSTT1 are glutathione S-transferase (GST) genes involved in the detoxification of various toxic compounds such as drugs. The development of fast and simple methods for null genotyping of GSTM1/GSTT1 could facilitate large pharmacogenetic studies and the clinical application of personalized drug dose adjustment according to the patient's genetic profile. The aim of this research was to develop a multiple PCR method for simultaneous amplification of GSTM1/GSTT1 genes for molecular analysis. A total of 25 samples of TB patients were used to validate the method consisting of TB patients with hepatotoxicity and without hepatotoxicity. Our result showed the genotype frequency of the GSTM1 null genotype was 90% in TB patients with hepatotoxicity and 100% in TB patients without hepatotoxicity. The frequency of the GSTT1 null genotype in TB patients with hepatotoxicity was 90%, whereas in TB patients without hepatotoxicity was 80%. The sequencing results on the positive samples showed a similarity of 99% to the GenBank NCBI. Our study was successful in detecting GSTM1 and GSTT1 null genotypes using the multiplex PCR method in TB patients. Further study needs to be done with larger sample of TB patients.

Abstract

Due to the known benefits and nutritional content of date seeds, the use of date seeds is not yet widespread. Date palm seeds can be processed into decaffeinated date coffee, making it safe for general consumption, and its iron content helps overcome anemic problems. The study aims to determine the sensory results and nutritional content of iron in date coffee. This research method uses a true experimental design with a post-test-only control group design that is analyzed descriptively. The study was conducted in three ways: product development stage, acceptance test, and laboratory iron nutrient content test. As a result of the sensory test, color preference was 36.0%, flavor preference was 28.0%, texture preference was 44.0%, and taste preference was 40.0%. Iron nutrient content test results were determined per 100 grams of date coffee powder with an iron content of 42.5 mg. Based on the overall sensory results of date coffee, it is generally acceptable in terms of color, aroma, texture and taste. In addition, it meets the requirement for "High Iron" under the standards of the Food and Drug Administration (BPOM).
