Abstract

   This experimental research examines: (1) a significant influence of “make a match” model to attainment in IPS course of the students of SMPN 1 Karangploso; (2) a significant influence of motivation model on the achievement IPS course; and (3) a significant influence between the type of “make a match” model and motivation model on the accomplishment of IPS course. The  sample of this research was the 98 students of IX grade at SMPN 1 Karangploso Malang. The research revealed that: (1) “the make a match” learning model significantly influences learning achievement of IPS course of the students of SMPN 1 Karangploso; (2) motivation model significantly affects learning achievement of IPS, and (3) “the make a match” learning model and motivation model  significantly influence achievement of IPS course.

Abstract

This classroom-based observation qualitative study describes language learning process in the kindergarten level based on the 2013 Curriculum. This study took place in the Kindergarten of Asparaga Malang and assigned all pupils as the research subject.  Data of this study were obtained form classroom interactions in the Asparaga school using observation and interview. This study revealed that the pupils in Asparaga interacted with friends and teachers in four languages: (1) Javanese language, (2) Indonesian, (3) the English language, and (4) Arabic. Learning a language was considered interesting using of various methods: teachers applied the storytelling and play to teach the languages, and multiple medias to support language learning process were also used in support to use the books, pictures, and tablets.

Abstract

  This research describes the use of code switching into four domains and the code switching form in the Ulil Albab boarding schools Sasak. This study applied qualitative approach and used sociolinguistics as the basis of interpretation. Subject of this study were santri and teachers in the pesantren.  The primary data were observed from the classroom settings and daily activities in the pesantren, when santri and teachers spoke in four languages: Indonesian, English, Arabic, and Sasak language.  Data were analyzed using  theory of code switching and code mixing from Dell Hymes.  The study revealed  that code switching occurred 138 tokens and  conversation appeared at 75%. Code switching was used as to give better comprehension to partnered-speaker.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to devise standardized test for Reading for Academic Purposes (WAP).  The test was focused on WAP as the main competency of reading for EAP and elaborated sub-competencies into literal, inferential, and critical reading.  The items of the test were developed from 9 passages before trials to explore critical reading as main academic literacy of EAP program.  A quantitative approach was used in this study emphasizing statistical analysis for manual and SPSS program.  Subjects of this study for three time trials were 30 students of EAP class at IAIN Surakarta.  Each trial involved 10 students.  The study revealed that of 40 items of reading test, 24 items derived from 6 passages performed accepted validation showing five criteria: difficulty indexes, degrees of difficulty, distractor effectiveness, validity, and reliability.

Abstract

 This study was intended to see the relationship between counseling guidance and juvenile delinguency.  The subject of this study was 63 students of the sixth grade of SDN 005 Bontang Utara.  This study used questionnaire consiting of 10 items to identify main data on the effectiveness of counceling guidance and juvenile delinguency.  In addition, documentary analysis regarding the counceling and juvenile delinguency was used complimentary to the questionnaire.  The analysis of the data discovered three descriptions:  counceling guidance, juvenile delinguency, and the relationship between counceling guidance and juvenile delinguency.  Results of guidance counceling indicated that of 63 respondents, 33% or 21 received good services, 38% or 24 enough, and 29% or 18 low.  The juvenile delinguency indicated that of 63 respondents, 50% or 31 respondents performed low traits, 25% or 16 enough, and 25% or 16 high. The hypothesis testing indicated that r-value (0.850) was greater than r-table (0.244) at p=0.05, N=63. The result is significant, meaning the better the quality of guidance counceling, the lower the juvenile deinguency was performed by the respondents.

Abstract

This paper describes common features of stress for employers and specific problems faced by teachers. The focus of the discussion includes stress definition, various factors cause teacher stress, and the effect of stress for the teacher. After understanding all about stress and indication, it is hoped that teacher will be able to identify and diagnose it. The way how to anticipate and cope with the stress is discussed in this paper.

Abstract

This study describes how motivation promotes psychomotor learning outcomes of MTs students.  The objectives of this study are to see (1) learning motivation in practicum activities of sciences subject, and (2) psychomotor learning achievement in the practicum of sceince subject.  This study used descriptive design assigning grade IX of 34 students of MTs Siman Kepung Blitar as sample. Data were collected using questionnair and test.  Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics.  The study found that students average motivation is 83% indicating high motivation and good performance.  Rate percentage of motivation in each category is as follows: (1) interest 90% or good, (2) attention 86% very good, (3) focus of concentration 78% good, and (4) diligent 80% good. Average scor of psychomotor achievement is 80 or very good.

Abstract

Children labors in the Car Wash Units informal sector is particularly obtained in Tenggarong, the capital of Kutai Kartanegara county. This condition is beyond an expected condition that Free Children Labor Zone in Kutai Kartanegara is executed in Kutai Kartanegara.  This paper reports an identification on Children Labors in Car Wash Units in Tenggarong, providing other facts that a struggle is remaining necessary to make the program successful.

Abstract

 The objectives of this study are: (1) to describe conditions of MKDU Bahasa Inggris at IAIN Surakarta, (2) to formulate needs analysis of Learning Outcomes-Based EAP program at IAIN Surakarta, and (3) to develop a syllabus of Learning Outcomes-Based EAP Program at at IAIN Surakarta. The design of this study is R2D2 (Recursive, Reflective, Design and Development) that used three phases:  define, design and develop, and disseminate and assigned 3 language experts, 6 English lecturers, and 20 students as research subjects. This study finds two findings.  First, conditions of MKDU Bahasa Inggris program at IAIN Surakarta are not standard. MKDU Bahasa Inggris is general English and syllabus is not  available. Second, Learning Outcomes EAP Syllabus should be used to achieve academic literacy and minimum English competency. The core materials include: reading for literal, inferential, and critical; speaking for informal, formal, and academic setting; general word list 1,000 to 2,000, academic vocabulary, basic grammar, and academic grammar.

Abstract

  The purpose of this study is to analyze the concept of Islamic finance governance which includes the principles among others; tauhid, taqwa and ridho, equilibrium (balance and justice), benefit, transparency, responsibility (responsibility) and independence.  This research uses descriptive qualitative method using literature approach (literature), either in the form of books, notes, or research result report, from previous researcher. The literature used in this research is books, journals, theses, and articles related to Good Corporate Governance in Islamic perspective and its application to sharia banking in the world.Islam has a much more complete and more comprehensive concept and akhlaqulkarimah and ketaqwaan to Allah SWT is a solid wall not to get mired in illegal practices and dishonest in accepting the mandate. Principles of Islamic Governance (IG) after going through the process of analysis and data processing there are nine interrelated principles, the principles are derived kalamullah and rasulullah who can answer from some corruption crime to efforts in improving efficiency, competitiveness and product innovation and sharia banking services.
