Abstract

Working at altitude is working in a high place that can be risky for orkers to experience injuries if they fall from that place. The Law No. 1 of 1970 states that one of the work activities that need attention from the safety side is work activities carried out at a heightObjectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the application of K3 to workers at altitude based on permenaker No. 9 of 2016 on the work of replacing the 500 kV panthograph disconnecting switch (DSP) at PT. PLN UIT JBT UPT Bekasi. This study uses the type of qualitative research that is observaisonal by using a cross sectional approach. Data collection techniques using observation systems and interviews to informants through the text of the interview guidelines. The study was conducted in September 2022. The results showed that the replacement work disconnecting switch panthograph (DSP) is included in the category of types of work at height. The results of observations and interviews show that workers are still less aware of aspects of K3, have not implemented aspects of emergency preparedness, and still use workers who are not yet competent. The work of replacing the disconnecting switch panthograph (DSP) has not implemented the safety requirements for working at height according to Permenaker No. 9 of 2016. This is because there are still some points that have not been met, namely K3 planning, K3 procedures and Labor competence

Abstract

Background: Conventional smoking activity involve tobacco which will produce smoke which contain toxic substances for the body, especially cadmium (Cd). Cd will enter respiratory tract in form of Cadmium Oxide (CdO) then to lungs and bind to erythrocytes, follow the blood circulation to reach the tissues and organs of the body. In the kidney, a process of reabsorption by proximal tubule will occur and Cd will accumulate, causing interference kidney function. Objectives: Determine whether there was an effect of Cd exposure on eGFR in active smokers among parking attendants in Kelapa Gading Research Metodes: This study used a cross sectional method. The sample used in this study was blood samples from 20 respondents by purposive sampling which were analyzed for Cd levels (ICP-MS) and eGFR (CKD-EPI). Results: The results showed that all respondents had Cd levels in the normal category (< 4.9 µg/L). 80% of respondents had normal eGFR values (≥ 90 ml/minute/1.73 m2) and 20% of them were in the abnormal category (60 - 89 ml/minute/1.73 m2). The result of Pearson's correlation test showed that R = -0.345 <0.468 there is no correlation and confirmed by sample linier regression test result p = 0.136 > 0.05 is meaning no effect. Conclusion: This study is that there was no effect of Cd exposure on eGFR in active smokers among parking attendants in Kelapa Gading

Abstract

Abstract Background: Pesticides can enter the body through inhalation, so it is necessary to check Cholinesterase levels to find out poisoning or exposure to pesticides in the body. Conditions of oxidative stress due to pesticides can trigger the process of lipid peroxidation in the cell membrane of erythrocytes. This process causes a loss of membrane fluidity and increased fragility or fragility of the erythrocyte membrane. Erythrocytes will easily break or lyse which will eventually cause a decrease in hemoglobin levels in the blood. Objectives : The purpose of this study was to determine Cholinesterase levels and Hemoglobin levels in male farmers using Organophosphate pesticides Research Metodes: This research method is descriptive with a cross-sectional study design.. Results: The results showed that 18 respondents (90%) had Hemoglobin levels within normal limits, the highest Hemoglobin result was 18.1 g/dL and the lowest Hemoglobin result was 11.6 g/dL. 20 respondents with a percentage of 100% had cholinesterase levels within normal limits, the highest cholinesterase result was 12485 u/L and the lowest cholinesterase result was 6985 u/L. Pearson Product Moment test results obtained a p value of 0.470 (> 0.05). Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that there is no significant relationship between Cholinesterase levels and hemoglobin levels.

Abstract

Background : Helminthiasis is an infectious disease caused by parasitic worms that enter the human body. Helminthiasis can affect the health condition, nutrition, intelligence, and productivity of individuals, thus reducing the quality of human resources. One of the causes of helminth infection is soil-transmitted helminths (STH), including Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura, and Hookworm, which are transmitted through the soil. Occupations related to soil can increase the frequency of helminth infections, and one such profession is brickmakers. Poor personal hygiene can facilitate the transmission of STH worm infections. Objectives : The objective of this study is to determine or analyze the infection of STH worm eggs and the relationship between personal hygiene and STH worm egg infection among brickmakers in Ngreco Village, Kandat District, Kediri Regency. Research Methods : This study utilizes a descriptive analytical approach with a cross-sectional design. The total sampling technique was employed to obtain 33 fecal samples from brickmakers. Data collection was conducted through questionnaire administration. The data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis (chi-square). Results : The findings of the study indicate that among individuals with poor personal hygiene, 2 samples were found to contain STH worm eggs, specifically Ascaris lumbricoides, with a percentage of 6%. On the other hand, among individuals with good personal hygiene, no STH worm eggs were found, with a percentage of 0%. The chi-square test yielded a result of p=0.002 (p<0.05), indicating a significant relationship. Conclusion : There is a relationship between personal hygiene and STH infection among brickmakers in Ngreco Village, Kandat District, Kediri Regency.

Of the 42 people who responded, as many as 35 workers experienced stress with medium category and the remaining 7 workers experienced stress with low category. The results of statistical tests using spearmans rank showed that there was no relationship between individual factors and occupational factors. Individual factors that include age have a relationship that is unidirectional while factors of education and marital status have a relationship that is not unidirectional. As for the employment factors include length of service, work shifts and physical workload have a unidirectional relationship and for the distance of residence has a non-directional relationship. Then it is advisable for the company to provide promotion opportunities for promotion to all production employees fairly, such as appointing permanent employees. The existence of a fair promotion makes employees can be excited when working so that the level of work stress becomes low Keywords: Work stress, individual factors, occupational factors
