Abstract

This study aims to determine the incidence of stunting in children under 5 years old at the Salotungo Soppeng Health Center, as well as to determine the development of stunting children under 5 years old at the Salotungo Soppeng Health Center. The method used in this study is a descriptive research to identify child development based on KPSP in the incidence of stunting in children under 5 years old. The results of the study showed that the incidence of stunting in children under 5 years old at the Salotungo Soppeng Health Center amounted to 62 children. It was found that the most common incidence of stunted children with developmental disorders, especially at the age of 30 months and male sex as many as 20 children (32.2%). The conclusion in this study is that stunted children at the Salotungo Soppeng Health Center, especially men, have a high risk of developing developmental disorders at the peak age of 30 months. Biological, genetic, and suboptimal food transition factors play a role in stunting and developmental delays. Early intervention is urgently needed to prevent long-term impacts. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of the antibacterial effectiveness test of packet extract (calamus caesius Blume) with lime extract (citrus aurantifolia) against Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 bacteria—experimental research method with in vitro design. The results showed that the inhibition zone in lime extract with the highest average value at a concentration of 100% was 9.23 mm in the moderate category. Still, it was not effective as an antibacterial because it had not entered the category of strong or very strong inhibition zones. The conclusion is that there is no inhibition zone of pakkat extract against the growth of Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 bacteria (p>0.05) and there is an inhibition zone of lime extract but it is not significant against the growth of Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 bacteria (p>0.05). Abstract

This study analyzes the relationship between maternal age and various aspects of pregnancy, delivery, postpartum conditions, and neonatal outcomes in Indonesia. The research method used was an observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between maternal age and pregnancy conditions (p<0.001) with young mothers (<20 years) showing higher levels of anemia (6.7% vs 3.5%) and KEK (8.8% vs 3.0%) compared to the 20-35 year age group. Postpartum infections were more common in young mothers (20.1% vs 15.2%) although this difference was not statistically significant (p=0.087). Low Birth Weight was higher in babies born to young mothers (4.1% vs 2.1%) but this difference was not statistically significant (p=0.096). This study highlights the impact of maternal age on various aspects of maternal and neonatal health in Indonesia. Young mothers (<20 years) are at higher risk of complications during pregnancy, delivery, and the postpartum period. In conclusion, maternal age has a significant impact on various aspects of maternal and neonatal health in Indonesia. Young mothers (<20 years) are at higher risk for certain pregnancy complications and poor delivery outcomes. Keywords: Pregnancy, Neonatal Condition, Childbirth, Post Partum, Maternal Age

Abstract

This study examines the health impacts of NO₂ exposure at Ogan Ilir Regency gas stations on lung function in workers and traders. There are two methods used, namely, the Environmental Health Risk Analysis (ARKL) study method with a deterministic approach system, and the Environmental Health Epidemiology (EKL) method with a Cross-Sectional approach system. The analysis of the non-carcinogenic intake rate due to NO₂ exposure showed a value of 0.004 mg/kg/day, and the Risk Quotient (RQ) risk level showed a NO₂ exposure value of 0.12. Statistical tests showed Body Mass Index (BMI), long-term relationships, frequency, duration of exposure, smoking habits, medical history, and history of allergies with a p-value> 0.05. The conclusion of this study shows that there is no significant relationship with impaired lung function.
