Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of multimedia in education in improving compliance and quality of life of kidney transplant patients. The method used in writing this article is literature review on three databases ProQuest, PubMed, ScienceDirect using the keywords multimedia, education, adherence AND 'quality of life' and 'kidney transplantation’. The results of a review show that the types of multimedia that can be used in education include animated videos, applications and artificial intelligence chatbots. The conclusion of this study is that the use of multimedia in education effectively improves adherence and quality of life for kidney transplant patients. However, the use of multimedia in education must consider accessibility, the elderly population and patients with visual and/or cognitive impairments. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of a low carbohydrate diet and intermittent fasting on blood pressure in hypertension sufferers. The research method used literature searches published in electronic databases, namely PubMed, Google Scholar, Scopus, and ScienceDirect, from 2013 to 2023, using the PRISMA method. Research shows that both can reduce blood pressure, especially systolic blood pressure. In conclusion, further research needs to be carried out to look specifically at the impact of a low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet and intermittent fasting on blood pressure in people with hypertension. Abstract

This study aims to synthesize studies regarding the implementation of the CAUTI prevention bundle namely the accuracy of indications for installation and removal of urinary catheters. The method used is a systematic review by taking studies from four databases, namely Science Direct, SAGE, Pro Quest, and Scopus which were published in 2017-2022, and are in English. Selection uses PRISMA guidelines. The quality of the article is assessed using the critical appraisal instrument from JBI. There were 646 articles, but only 9 articles met the inclusion criteria. The results showed that in the implementation system, 5 studies used training for staff on accurate catheter placement, catheter care, or CAUTI prevention before or during the intervention. The instrument used is a form or sticker containing a reminder about the indication or removal of the catheter. Two studies used audit or feedback systems. Benefits in rate of insertion and duration of catheterization indicate a reduction in inappropriate catheter placement and a reduction in duration of catheter use. In compliance with the procedure, the accuracy of indications and urinary catheter removal showed increased compliance. And the CAUTI numbers show varying results. In conclusion, the bundle of indications for catheter insertion and removal can be applied and the results regarding implementation compliance are still limited. However, the effect on CAUTI rates needs to be compared with bundle interventions more fully. It could be considered research supervision and compliance with implementing the CAUTI bundle. Abstract

This study aims to identify the effectiveness of acupressure in treating fatigue and anxiety in cancer patients. The research method used is Systematic Review, through searching articles against six trusted databases, namely Cocharene, EbscoHost, ProQuest, Sage Journals, ScienceDirect, and Scopus, for article analysis using the PRISMA method. The results of the study showed that of the 10 research articles, there were articles which stated that acupressure was effective for overcoming fatigue and anxiety in cancer patients, but there were also articles which stated that acupressure had less significant effectiveness in overcoming fatigue and anxiety in cancer patients, especially when done with a small number of samples and during the chemotherapy process. In conclusion, acupressure has positive benefits in overcoming fatigue and anxiety, although in some cases the impact is not very significant. Acupressure is a therapy that does not use invasive procedures, is safe, cost-effective and easy to apply. Acupressure can be done independently by the patient by massaging the acupoints. Abstract

This aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of intra-abdominal pressure measurement as a marker of enteral nutrient tolerance in ICU patients. The method of this study used systematic review searched several eligible research articles from October 2013 to October 2023 using Scopus, ProQuest, Science Direct, and PubMed databases with the keywords critical ill patient, intra abdominal pressure measurement, gastric residual volume, and enteral nutrition. The result of this study show that based on six eligible research articles from 5 different countries that had been identified, show that intra-abdominal pressure measurements can predict enteral nutrient tolerance, although there was one study that had low sensitivity and significance. This systematic review concluded that intra-abdominal pressure measurements is one of the effective strategies that can be used to predict enteral nutrient tolerance in adult ICU patients. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of KEPO management in diabetes care on self-care and blood sugar levels of patients with DM in Javanese and Batak families. The method used was quasy experimental nonequivalent control group design. Respondents in this study were diabetics accompanied by one family member totaling 84 people. Data were collected using The Summary of Diabetes Self Care Activities (SDSCA) instrument and blood sugar level observation sheet (KGD). Data were analyzed by parametric T-test for self-care and non-parametric Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney for KGD. The results showed that there was a difference in the average self-care and blood sugar levels of patients with DM in Javanese and Batak families before and after being given KEPO management with a p-value = 0.001 (p <0.005). In conclusion, there is an effect of KEPO management on self-care and blood sugar levels of diabetics in Javanese and Batak families. Abstract

This research aims to determine the factors that influence psychology when receiving bad news about cancer. The method uses a systematic review approach on ten journals analyzed using PRISMA. Database search via Springer, Scopus, PubMed, ClinicalKey, and ScienceDirect. The results of a systematic review show that the factors that influence psychological factors are supportive communication, information, nurse presence, environment or privacy, emotional and empathic support, language, stage of disease, family involvement, and demographic characteristics. In conclusion, delivering bad news about cancer must consider factors that can influence the psychology of patients and families. Training related to delivering bad news needs to be given to nurses who provide oncology services to reduce the psychological factors that occur when patients and families receive bad news about cancer. Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence the level of spirituality and the level of anxiety and depression in cancer patients. The method used was a systematic review of several databases, such as Scopus, Google Scholar, PubMed, ProQuest, and EBSCOHost, which were used in the search for relevant articles. The research results show that there are a total of 9 articles that have been analyzed, one of which is the complex condition of cancer-causing sufferers to face various clinical symptoms, both physical and psychological, and the spirituality needed by cancer patients to provide comfort. In this context, the need for aspects of spirituality cannot be ignored because it can give comfort and positively impact the health and healing of patients. Therefore, fulfilling spiritual needs is very important, apart from paying attention to other aspects of needs in individuals experiencing cancer. Conclusion: The spiritual interventions carried out are suitable for reducing levels of anxiety and depression in cancer patients, including dhikr therapy, reading books about religion, spiritual counseling, nursing care based on a support-based spiritual care model, religious-spiritual psychotherapy, and Al-based group spiritual interventions. -Quran and Islam.
