Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of physical exercise on blood glucose levels and quality of life in people with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Methods This research uses a systematic review method referring to PRISMA guidelines. Research shows that physical exercise, especially a combination of aerobic and resistance, effectively improves quality of life and glycemic control in type 2 diabetes patients. High-intensity exercise can improve cardiorespiratory fitness. The combination of vitamin D supplementation and exercise training has a synergistic effect in enhancing insulin resistance. Concomitant aerobic and resistance exercise is recommended for managing type 2 diabetes, with HIIT being an effective intensity option. In conclusion, physical exercise, especially a combination of aerobic and resistance, effectively improves the quality of life and glycemic control in T2DM individuals. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of integrating multiple oral motor stimulation interventions in facilitating the readiness for oral feeding among premature neonates.. A systematic review methodology was adapted for this inquiry. Extensive literature searches were conducted across prominent databases, including PubMed, EBSCO, Sage Journal, Taylor & Francis, Clinical Key for Nursing, and Proquest. A total of six articles, all randomized controlled trials, were selected and meticulously reviewed. The results of this systematic review indicate that the interventions employed include combinations of oral motor stimulation with supplementary nursing, kinesthetic tactile techniques, non-nutritive sucking (NNS), swallowing exercises, and sensorimotor stimulation. The findings suggest that these interventions are effective in enhancing oral feeding readiness by shortening the transition period to oral feeding and promoting breastfeeding fulfillment. Additionally, they have been shown to increase breastfeeding rates and reduce concurrently the duration of hospitalization. This research provides valuable insight for improving neonatal care and optimizing feeding practices. Keywords: Feeding Readiness, Oral Motor Stimulation, Premature Infants

Abstract

We aimed to summarize the development process of developing the Covid-19 comic book as a prevention medium through a literary work. Research and Development was used as the method in this research with 4 D approach (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The research results show that the average comic validation test score is 4.61 for material experts, 4.24 for media experts, and 4.58 for practitioners. Comic books about education during the Covid-19 pandemic are very suitable to be used as health promotion media about Covid-19. The results of limited trials (n=100) described the stories in comics as very interesting (85%), easy to understand (85%), and useful (100%). In conclusion, the Covid-19 comic book has been declared very suitable as a health promotion medium for children during the pandemic. Attractive Media literacy is currently being encouraged to support children's learning in the concept of understanding Covid-19 and increase children's awareness of implementing health protocols during the pandemic. Abstract

This study aims to explore the factors that influence the length of stay in post-surgical femur fracture patients, specifically the interaction between early mobilization, obesity, and old age as potential predictors of hospitalization. The research method used was a systematic review using the PRISMA search strategy. The databases used in this research are ProQuest, Sage Journal, Embrace, Science Direct, and Scopus. The results of the study show that factors that influence the length of stay of postoperative femur fracture patients from the results of the literature review are mobility, comorbidities, related fractures, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative blood transfusion, occurrence of pressure ulcers, higher BMI or obesity, choice of anesthesia, and drainage status. The average length of stay in the literature review is 5.64 days to 14.4 days. In conclusion, many factors influence LOS such as mobility, comorbidities, related fractures, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative blood transfusion, and the occurrence of wounds. pressure, higher BMI or obesity, choice of anesthesia, drainage status. The average length of stay in research journals is 5.64 days to 14.4 days. Keywords: Fracture, Femur, Early Mobilization, Obesity, Old Age.

Abstract

This study aims to identify differences in the impact of chemotherapy and radiotherapy on the fertility of childhood and adolescent cancer survivors. The method used was a systematic review with searches in five databases including Pubmed, ScienceDirect, Scopus, Proquest, and Clinical Key Nursing regarding fertility in child and adolescent cancer survivors treated with chemotherapy or radiation, with a publication range from 2000 to 2018. There were 11,131 articles at the start of the data search, after filtering using the PRISMA 2020 method, the final results were 9 articles for analysis using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) checklist. The nine articles used a cohort study involving a total of 25,210 respondents from six countries (America 2, Netherlands 2, Italy 2, Japan 1, England 1, Ireland 1). The research results show that alkylating agent type chemotherapy can affect the fertility of cancer survivors, as well as radiotherapy to certain areas of the body such as the abdomen, head and total body radiation also affect the fertility of childhood cancer survivors. In conclusion, providing appropriate information regarding the impact of alkylating agent chemotherapy and radiotherapy to the head area, abdomen and total body radiation before starting cancer therapy is very necessary. So that patients and families can make the best decisions in treating the patient's cancer regarding the patient's future. Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and the implementation of essential life support in inpatient nurses at the Hospital. The quantitative research method was cross-sectional, with a sample of 68 nurses in the inpatient room of the hospital. The results of this study obtained a p-Value of 0.032 = <0.05, with a positive correlation direction, which means that the higher the nurse's knowledge, the better the implementation of essential life support. The conclusion is that there is an influence between knowledge of critical life support and implementation in nurses. Keywords: Basic Life Support, Implementation, Knowledge

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the cooling method on overcoming acute responses such as pain after surgery. It has three main effects: reducing pain (analgesia), anti-inflammatory effects, and edema/swelling. The method used was a systematic search for articles with a randomized controlled trial (RCT) research design through the PubMed, ProQuest, ScienceDirect, and ClinicalKey databases from October 2013 to October 2023 using the keywords "post-surgical" OR "after surgery" OR "post-operative" AND "iced pack" OR "cold packs" AND "acute pain" OR "pain management" OR "therapy." The search results revealed that six articles were obtained from 696 articles through screening based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Research shows that the cooling method can be applied to orthopedic patients and positively impacts the acute response after surgery. Conclusions show that this method can significantly reduce the effects of acute inflammation after surgery and restore optimal function with the standard protocols related to this method. This study aims to determine the effect of the cooling method on overcoming acute responses such as pain after surgery.
