JURNAL PSIMAWA: Diskursus Ilmu psikologi dan Pendidikan merupakan jurnal berkala ilmiah yang dipublikasi oleh Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa terbit setahun dua kali, yakni bulan Juni dan Desember. Jurnal Psimawa berisikan tulisan ilmiah berupa hasil penelitian, survei, gagasan konseptual atau hasil pemikiran reflektif yang kritis tentang diskursus ilmu-ilmu psikologi dan pendidikan yang disajikan secara sistematik dengan menggunakan gaya selingkung. Jurnal ini menerima tulisan dosen, peneliti, mahasiswa dan serta pemerhati dalam bidang-bidang psikologi dan pendidikan.

Abstract

This service aims to determine the quality of community involvement in the delivery of education. This activity was carried out in Lawela Village, South Buton Regency. This community service used the Community based Research method with a qualitative approach. This service activity divide 3 stages, The first stage was Focus Group Discussion, Literature Review, and socialization were carried out by involving various parties, including the community service team, family, teachers, school principals, the community and the village government. Second Stage, Activities at this stage are assistance to families, schools and communities. The Community Service Team is directly involved in school activities involving parents of children, the community and the government related to the Parenting program, Parents Visits to school, child discipline, character building, healthy and comfortable environment programs. 3. Third stage, in the third stage the Community Service Team conducts interviews and observations. The results of this service show the awareness of the community, schools and village government, through educational activities held together. Families begin to be involved in education, namely discipline towards children, character education in the family environment, socializing early childhood education program, children's learning patterns at home and joint evaluation of children's development

Abstract

The family is the best madrasa for early childhood. At this time, early childhood enters the golden age, a very appropriate time to teach all good behavior, teach social norms because what parents exemplify will indirectly shape the child's personality. The situation in Indonesia after the Covid pandemic has put all levels of society, including early childhood, in a new situation, namely the new normal. New normal: a new situation to get used to complying with health protocols in all activities. Health protocols must be applied in everyday life. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of parents in assisting early childhood at the beginning of the new normal era. The research used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. In addition, researchers used the observation method to observe the activities of parents and children in their daily lives. The results of the research that has been done are that the role of parents is very important in implementing new habits, parents play an important role in guiding, assisting early childhood learning and playing. Parents play an important role in providing comfort, creative games so that early childhood does not feel bored and bored when doing activities at home during the new normal era.

Abstract

Currently, the rise of online games causes many cases of violence, both verbal and non-verbal. However, in everyday life, it is found that online games more often have an impact on verbal violence of players; therefore, this study aimed to determine whether there is a negative relation between religiosity and verbal aggression on online game players in Sumbawa Besar City. The method used in this study was quantitative method. The populations in this study were online game players in Sumbawa Besar City consisting of 70 people who were found based on initial screening. Then, the sampling technique used was saturated sample. The research data was obtained from the research instrument in the form of two scales, namely religiosity scale comprising of 20 items and verbal aggression scale which was adapted from the verbal aggression scale (VAS) consisting of 14 items. The statistical method used was Pearson's Correlation. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that there is a relation between religiosity and verbal aggression. This can be seen from the research significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and the correlation coefficient value of -0.436 was included in the category of moderate correlation strength, and showed that there is a negative relation between religiosity and verbal aggression on online game players in Sumbawa Besar City.

Abstract

Democratic Leadership Style is the ability to influence others to want to work together to achieve the goals that have been set by means of various activities to be carried out jointly determined by the leader and its members and open equal opportunities for its members to participate more actively so that it can generate motivation to achieve an achievement. both for the organization and for themselves. This research is conducted on members of UKM X in University X by using correlational quantitative research methods. Purposive Non-Random Sampling is used in technique . The research sample amounted to 62 persons. The research data are obtained using the democratic leadership style scale instrument based on the Lippits & White theory and the achievement motivation scale based on the MC Clelland theory. The research tets is conducted by using correlation test. The results indicates that there is a relationship between democratic leadership style and achievement motivation with a correlation value of r = 0.587; p= 0.000 (p <0.005) which indicates that there is a significant relationship between democratic leadership style and achievement motivation. This shows that the higher the democratic leadership style, the higher the achievement motivation.

Abstract

Pengaruh Kepercayaan Diri di dalamnya terdapat fatktor Penyebab Kecemasan merupakankeyakinan diri atas kemampuan yang dimiliki berkaitan dengan bagai mana individu tersebut mengatasi penyebab dari kecemasan. Tujuan penelitan ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Kepercayaan Diri terhadap Penyebab Kecemasan Pada Mahasiswa Semester Akhir. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deksriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan rumus slovin. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 88 mahasiswa yang terbagi dari 14 prodi jurusan. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan instrumen penelitian berupa dua skala yaitu skala kepercayaan diri dan skala penyebab kecemasan. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa kepercayaan diri berpengaruh terhadap penyebab kecemasan pada mahasiswa dengan nilai p = 0.000 / p < 0.05 dan R Square sebesar 0.297 yang berarti menunjukan bahwa semakin baik kepercayaan diri yang diterapkan maka penyebab kecemasan pada mahasiswa semakin baik. kepercayaan diri memberikan pengaruh sebesar 56.2% dan 43.8 % dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar penelitian. Kepercayaan diri berada pada kategori baik dengan aspek yang paling tinggi adalah aspek mandiri dan tidak mementingkan diri sendiri. Sedangkan penyebab kecemasan berada pada kategori baik dengan aspek yang paling tinggi adalah aspek emosi yang ditekan.

Abstract

Broken home will affect teenager development. Teenagers coming from a broken family will lose their way, find it difficult to trust others and even tend to do negative things. Teenagers need direction from their parents in their developments. Therefore, teenagers need to be able to express themselves, find solutions to problems they are facing and need guidance in order that they not feel alone in solving their problems. This study aims to determine the depiction of self-disclosure of teenagers from broken homes with phenomenological qualitative research methods. In collecting the data, researchers used semi-structured interview techniques and unstructured observations. The research subjects were two teenagers aged 15-18 years, male and female. The results of this study indicate that male teenager has less self-disclosure than female teenager, which is marked by the inability of the individual to express himself in detail or thoroughly. Meanwhile, female teenager is able to express herself in detail and thoroughly to others. Both subjects also prefer to disclose themselves intensely to their family rather than friends because they consider their family a trusted person.

Abstract

The rapid development of the cigarette industry in Indonesia has caused the number of cigarette consumers to increase. The government issued Minister of Health Regulation No. 28 of 2013, requiring every cigarette manufacturer to include a pictorial warning on every cigarette package whose impact is expected to increase smokers' knowledge and reduce the number of smokers. This is strongly influenced by perceptions and buying interests. This study aims to determine the effect of the perception of pictorial warnings on the buying interests of late adolescent consumers. One of the areas that is the object of research is Karang Dima Village, located in Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. Data analysis in this study uses a descriptive quantitative approach, where the sampling technique uses the analysis of the solving formula. The sample in this study amounted to 72 adolescents in the village of Karang Dima. The data were collected using two scales of research instruments: the perception scale and the buying interest scale.The results of this study indicate that the hypothesis (Ho), which states "there is no effect of the perception of warning images on consumer buying interest in Karang Dima's late teens," is accepted. Meanwhile, the hypothesis (Ha), which says "there is no effect of the perception of warning images on consumer buying interest in the village of Karang Dima late adolescence ," is rejected with a sig of 0.139 (> 0.05).

Abstract

Adolescence is a problematic age, adolescent problems also occur at the level of education, especially in boarding schools education. Adolescents who experience a transitional period of change of residence, must be ready to face changes in new demands, in this case the problems that are often faced are problems of Self adjustment and Obedience. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self adjustment and obedience to the students of modern islamic boarding schools at SMK Al Kahfi Sumbawa. The subjects of this study were students of a modern islamic boarding school at SMK Al Kahfi Sumbawa, totaling 60 students. This research uses quantitative research, with sampling technique using quota sampling. The data collection instrument uses a self adjustment and obedience scale. While the data analysis technique uses the SPSS version 28 product moment correlation test. The results showed that based on statistical analysis, there was a positive and significant relationship between self adjustment and obedience with r = 0.777, p = 0.001 (p <0.05), the higher the student's self adjustment, the higher the level of student obedience. Vice versa, the lower the level of student adjustment, the lower the level of obedience

Abstract

Dukungan sosial bagi narapidana sangat penting karena setelah divonis bersalah dan dipidana, narapidana akan kehilangan kebebasan dan kemerdekaan dalam hidup, bebas melakukan aktivitas seperti biasa, bebas berhubungan seksual dan lainnya. Hal ini yang menyebabkan narapidana menjadi stres. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap stres narapidana di Lapas kelas IIA Sumbawa Besar. Subjek dari penelitian ini merupakan narapidana laki-laki yang berjumlah 81 orang di Lapas Sumbawa Besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan oenelitian kuantitatif jenis dekspriptif, dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling, penarikan sampel menggunakan bantuan rumus slovin. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan skala dukungan sosial dan skala stres. Sedangkan teknik analisa data menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana product moment. Berdasarkan hasil analisi data, diketahui R Square sebesar 0.300 Nilai tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kontribusi yang diberikan oleh variabel dukungan sosial sebesar 0.300 yang artinya 30% stres dipengaruhi oleh dukungan sosial, 70% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh variabel yang tidak diteliti.

Abstract

Komunikasi Interpersonal adalah sikap yang harus dimiliki mahasiswa. Dengan komunikasi interpersonal mahasiswa, akan membantu mereka dalam membentuk kemampuan berkomunikasi. Sebab komunikasi akan memberikan pengaruh kepada mereka dalam proses pembelajaran di kampus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adakah hubungan antara komunikasi interpersonal dengan perilaku asertif mahasiswa Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa angkatan 2018-2019 berjumlah 2.007 mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Product moment SPSS versi 16. Hasil penelitian Berdasarkan analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa hubungan komunikasi interpersonal dengan perilaku asertif pada mahasiswa Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa memiliki hubungan yang positif yang signifikan. Dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar r = 0,732, sig. (p hitung) = 0,000 atau p < 0,05 semakin tinggi komunikasi interpersonal mahasiswa, semakin tinggi pula perilaku asertif mahasiswa. Sebaliknya semakin rendah komunikasi interpersonal, semakin rendah pula perilaku asertif mahasiswa.
