Abstract

The sophistication of technology and communication systems has had an impact on the high flow of globalization that has entered Indonesia. Not a few foreign cultural influences that enter are not in accordance with the cultural norms of the Indonesian nation. This is because people are more familiar with foreign cultures compared to native Indonesian culture. One of them is the traditional art of Ebeg as one of the noble heritages of the ancestors of the Indonesian people, which from now on is rarely found. A sense of belonging to the young people of Kalijeruk Village is needed for Ebeg art as an art that deserves to be upheld and becomes the pride of the community. This Ebeg art is widely displayed by people at festivals, celebrations, competitions and celebrations on certain days. The author discusses the preservation of Ebeg art using documentation and observation studies. Through literature review and observational notes, the data obtained was then collected, selected and presented in the discussion. As early as possible, the young people of Kalijeruk Village are introduced to Ebeg art and trained to play it so that they can continue the art that has been passed down from generation to generation as an intangible cultural heritage. The explanation presented is expected to be able to become a value of public awareness of the preservation of the Indonesian nation's traditional arts.

Abstract

Music, fundamentally, always evolves through increasing human creativity. The increase in human creativity has given rise to various variations of popular music trends. This is found in the use of Baroque music samples "Air on the G String" by Johann Sebastian Bach in the song "Feel My Rhythm" by the girl group Red Velvet. This study examines the aesthetic value of Baroque music "Air on the G String" by Johann Sebastian Bach in its utilization on the song "Feel My Rhythm" by Red Velvet. As qualitative research, the assessment was conducted using a literature study approach and descriptive analysis method. Through research, it was found that there are key adjustments, chord progressions, bass and harmony agility, as well as electronic sound medium intervention in the song "Feel My Rhythm" through the aesthetic perspective of Baroque music "Air on the G String." Thus, in the use of samples of Baroque music "Air on the G String" in the Modern era "Feel My Rhythm," it can be concluded that the aesthetic authenticity (characteristics) of Baroque music is still present and only given an increase in modernity aspects.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the inner conflicts of artists in Malang Raya after the G30S PKI. The data in this study are described based on conflict theory according to Kurt Lewin as; (1) conflict between approaches, (2) conflict between approaches, and (3) conflict between approaches and the factors that cause inner conflict. The results were analyzed based on Abraham Maslow's theory of human needs. This research method is descriptive qualitative using a psychological approach and interview techniques. The results of the study describe the conflicting forms of approaches marking the happiness of artists who survived the G30S incident. The conflict between circumcision and circumcision marks the attitude of the artist who honestly admits his anxiety when he meets a servant of the state. Approach-avoidance conflict is marked when an artist faces two very dilemmatic choices about continuing his work and there is a possibility of not surviving or looking for another job. All of these conflicts arose because the impact of G30S among them was very traumatic.

This study aims to find out what are the background of the formation of musical relations between musicians and the audience. The research method used is a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. The process of collecting data is done through document studies, field observations, audio visual recordings, and interviews. The focus of the problem in this study is why musical relations between musicians and audiences can form in jazz performances at the Jazz Parkiran event. In the discussion of this research, the analysis applied is the concept of proxemic relations from KeirEllam case studies of theater and drama performances. This proxemic relational concept consists of three analytical perspectives, namely the issue of taste, show momentum, and the distance or level of the actor's stage with the audience. Through these three perspectives of analysis the researcher sees a great influence in forming emotional relations between actors with the audience. After applying the jazz performance problems, the three perspectives of the analysis are relevant and represent all forms of events capable of building a strong musical relationship between the musician and the audience. Based on the results of the analysis in the discussion it can be concluded that the issue of song tastes, show momentum, and stage distance between the musician and the audience are factors that have a major influence on the formation of the musical's musical relationship with the Jazz Parkiran audience in Surakarta

Abstract

The role of design, as a visual art that most people think there is a dividing line between the art of motion and sound, will certainly be a new picture in understanding the interrelated relationship in the success of a performance. This is the background related to the research on the role of good design in a performance focused on the "Tumirah (Sang Mucikari)" performance performed at the University of Palangka Raya's Drama, Dance, and Music Education Study Program, with the aim of describing and analyzing the problems of the form and the creativity of the stage and the property used. The theory of two-dimensional and three-dimensional designs underlies the role of design in performance. The method used in this research is interpretative qualitative with case study studies. The results show that the role of design in the form of line, field, color, and space elements is inseparable from a performance. Design creativity that reduces some of its elements into imaginary elements and visualizes elements whose representation weight is high is a determining factor in explaining to the audience to be carried away in the atmosphere told in the performance story.
