Abstract

This research addresses low competitiveness in the halal culinary creative industry caused by weak quality management implementation and a lack of business innovation, making improved product quality and managerial efficiency urgent for survival amid global competition. The purpose is to develop a contextual total quality management model based on local conditions to enhance enterprise competitiveness in the creative industry. The method employed a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling – Partial Least Squares, with 100 halal culinary business owners selected purposively. The questionnaire was based on seven Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award criteria: leadership, strategic planning, customer focus, human resource focus, process management, business results, and competitiveness. Data was collected through surveys and interviews, and analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0. Findings reveal that customer focus, business results, and process management significantly influence competitiveness with probability values below 0.05, indicating that enhanced customer orientation, business effectiveness, and process management strengthen competitiveness. The conclusion is that this research produces a contextual total quality management model, enriching quality management literature based on the Indonesian local context. Practically, this model provides actionable guidance for business owners to prioritize customer orientation, optimize operational processes, and measure performance systematically to improve their competitive position in the market.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the key components of Corporate Digital Responsibility (CDR) that are most relevant to AI implementation in news media organizations and to examine the relationships between these dimensions and the mediating factors that shape implementation outcomes. A quantitative approach was employed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling to test a framework that integrates digital ethics, responsible innovation, and media sustainability with media credibility, operational effectiveness, and business sustainability as mediating variables toward AI implementation success. The findings indicate that CDR dimensions play a significant role in strengthening credibility, improving operational performance, and supporting long-term business sustainability, which collectively contribute to more effective AI implementation. The results highlight that ethical governance, innovation capability, and sustainability orientation not only influence AI adoption directly but also operate through key organizational mechanisms that enhance trust, efficiency, and resilience. These findings imply that news media organizations need to adopt an integrated and balanced approach to digital responsibility in order to ensure that AI integration supports both technological advancement and journalistic values while maintaining long-term organizational viability.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of dynamic capabilities as a mediating mechanism that bridges SEO, social media marketing, and Personalization with economic performance. Grounded in the Dynamic Capability Theory and Resource-Based View (RBV), this research aims to understand how digital marketing practices contribute to firm performance in a dynamic business environment. Using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), the findings reveal that SEO and social media marketing have a positive and significant impact on dynamic capabilities. At the same time, Personalization does not show a significant effect. Furthermore, dynamic capabilities have a positive and significant influence on economic performance, confirming their strategic importance. Mediation analysis indicates that dynamic capabilities significantly mediate the relationship between SEO and economic performance, as well as between social media marketing and economic performance, but not between Personalization and economic performance. These results highlight that a firm's ability to adapt, integrate, and reconfigure its digital resources is essential to achieving superior economic outcomes. The study contributes to the ongoing discourse on digital transformation and strategic marketing by emphasizing dynamic capabilities as the key mechanism linking digital marketing strategies to economic success.

Abstract

Rising market, technological, and environmental uncertainties challenge Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the food and beverage sector, making strategic foresight and entrepreneurial orientation essential for adaptability and competitiveness. This study aims to examine the effects of strategic foresight and entrepreneurial orientation on business adaptability in navigating uncertainty among food and beverage MSMEs in Jakarta. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design was employed. Data were collected from 100 MSME owners or managers using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using structural equation modeling–partial least squares. The results indicate that strategic foresight has a significant positive effect on business adaptability, while entrepreneurial orientation strengthens innovation, proactiveness, and organizational resilience. Furthermore, business adaptability is found to mediate the relationship between strategic foresight and the ability of MSMEs to navigate business uncertainty. These findings highlight the importance of integrating foresight and entrepreneurial orientation as dynamic capabilities to enhance MSME resilience. This study contributes theoretically to the dynamic capabilities perspective and provides practical insights for business practitioners and policymakers in strengthening the adaptive capacity of food and beverage MSMEs amid an increasingly uncertain business environment.

Abstract

Given recent productivity declines, this study aims to evaluate the quality of services provided by dairy farmers’ cooperatives to local farmers, who are both cooperative members and the primary milk suppliers, in the context of declining milk productivity. A quantitative approach was employed, focusing on local farmers as key partners and milk suppliers within the livestock business district, a national livestock development model managed by dairy farmers’ cooperatives. Data were collected from 49 respondents, consisting of 29 farmers from Livestock Business District I and 20 farmers from Livestock Business District II. The assessment began with measuring service quality attributes using a structured scale, followed by an Importance–Performance Analysis (IPA). The results indicate that service attributes are distributed across several IPA quadrants, with critical attributes requiring immediate attention, particularly water supply, milk pricing, and communication with cooperative management. In addition, several other service attributes were identified as needing improvement. These findings provide strategic insights for dairy farmers’ cooperatives to enhance key service quality attributes that are essential for improving cooperative performance. Strengthening these attributes is expected to contribute to better service delivery and, ultimately, to increased milk productivity among local farmers, especially those operating within the livestock business district areas.

Abstract

In the current dynamic business environment, small businesses face intense competition that requires strong strategic capabilities to survive and grow. This study examines the effect of entrepreneurial orientation and innovation on the business performance of MSMEs through the competitive advantage. A quantitative approach was employed using survey data from 132 MSMEs, analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that entrepreneurial orientation and innovation have a significant positive effect on competitive advantage. Innovation also has a direct positive effect on business performance, while entrepreneurial orientation does not directly influence performance. Competitive advantage plays a critical mediating role, exerting a strong and significant effect on business performance and transmitting the impact of entrepreneurial orientation and innovation to performance outcomes. These findings imply that MSMEs should prioritize innovation-driven strategies and actively leverage entrepreneurial orientation to build sustainable competitive advantages. Policymakers and business development agencies are encouraged to support MSMEs through innovation capacity building and entrepreneurial capability development, as competitive advantage emerges as a key mechanism for enhancing long-term business performance.

Abstract

The increasingly competitive aviation industry requires airports to improve service quality and adopt digital innovation while also responding to growing environmental concerns through the implementation of green airport practices. Passenger awareness of sustainability issues has made environmental image an important factor in shaping passenger satisfaction. This study aims to examine the effect of service quality and digital innovation on passenger satisfaction, with the green airport acting as a mediating variable at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. A quantitative research approach was applied using Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modelling (CB-SEM) combined with Importance–Performance Analysis (IPA). Data were collected from 100 passengers through a structured questionnaire using a Likert scale and analyzed to assess both direct and indirect relationships among variables. The findings reveal that service quality has a significant indirect effect on passenger satisfaction through the green airport, indicating full mediation. In contrast, digital innovation shows no statistically significant effect on either the green airport or passenger satisfaction. Furthermore, the IPA results indicate that these environmental sustainability programs play a significant role in improving passenger satisfaction and airport image. In conclusion, strengthening green airport initiatives plays a crucial role in enhancing passenger satisfaction and supporting sustainable airport management.

Abstract

The development of the capital market encourages investors to evaluate corporate financial performance as a basis for investment decisions, particularly in the automotive and component sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study aims to examine the effect of liquidity and profitability on stock returns of automotive and component companies during the 2018–2023 period. A quantitative approach was employed by applying panel data analysis using EViews 12 software. Liquidity was measured using the current ratio, while profitability was assessed through return on assets. The research data were obtained from the companies’ annual financial statements selected through purposive sampling. The findings indicate that liquidity has a positive influence on stock returns, suggesting that a firm’s ability to meet short-term obligations can enhance investor confidence. Furthermore, profitability shows a positive and significant effect on stock returns, implying that higher profit levels provide favorable signals to the market. Simultaneously, liquidity and profitability contribute significantly to the improvement of stock returns. These results strengthen fundamental financial theories and offer practical implications for investors in making informed investment decisions.

Abstract

Tourism drives economic growth, cultural preservation, and regional income, yet the iconic Floating Market in Banjarmasin City has seen visitor numbers drop sharply from 79,120 in 2023 to 61,356 in 2024. Modern land infrastructure, river pollution, and limited facilities have diminished its traditional charm, prompting the need for smarter promotion strategies. This study investigates how social media marketing and destination image affect tourist satisfaction and revisit intention, with city branding acting as a moderator, among visitors to Banjarmasin’s Floating Market. Data were gathered via an online questionnaire from 250 tourists and analyzed using PLS-SEM in SmartPLS version 4. The results show that social media marketing and destination image both positively influence tourist satisfaction. Destination image and tourist satisfaction significantly affect revisit intention, while social media marketing has no direct effect on revisit intention. Most importantly, city branding moderates the relationship between social media marketing and revisit intention, strengthening the path when city branding is high. These findings highlight the urgent need for Banjarmasin authorities and market managers to weave a consistent “City of a Thousand Rivers” brand into social media campaigns. Combining authentic cultural storytelling with improved site conditions can revive visitor interest, enhance satisfaction, and secure long-term loyalty for this unique heritage attraction.

Abstract

Socio-economic changes in disaster-affected communities require effective development management to ensure the welfare of post-disaster populations. Communities that are unprepared for post-disaster development are vulnerable to falling into poverty and prolonged suffering that they did not anticipate. Therefore, this article aims to identify patterns of socio-economic impacts experienced by post-disaster communities in Indonesia as a basis for recommending more comprehensive and effective development strategies. This study employs a systematic literature review approach, using the Publish or Perish application as a tool for filtering and sorting relevant literature based on keywords related to changes, impacts, and strategies of post-disaster communities over the last ten years. The findings indicate that socio-economic changes in post-disaster communities show a distinct typology, which can be analyzed through strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges. The study concludes that post-disaster development should adopt a comprehensive, inclusive, and sustainable approach to effectively support the socio-economic recovery and long-term welfare of affected communities. The implication is that policymakers and development practitioners must implement targeted strategies to enhance both immediate recovery and long-term socio-economic resilience in affected communities.
